Natasha turned on the TV before handing over the remote, content to just settle in for the moment.

Athena took the remote and turned on Discovery channel. There was always something on that channel that they could agree on. Then she settled in, leaving room on the couch for someone else to join her as well.

After a few minutes, Chloe got herself a bit more food and sat next to Athena. It was the first time she'd elected to sit next to someone.

Athena noticed, and give Chloe a bit of space.

"Discovery channel okay?" she asked, glancing at the new were.

Chloe nodded. "It's fine," she said quietly. "Not late enough for Mythbusters, though."

"No, but I usually set it to tape," Athena admitted. "Mythbusters and Top Gear on BBC. Steve likes NatGeo best, I think. Clint likes tearing apart Top Shot."

Chloe smiled a bit and nodded. Those both made sense, from what she'd seen so far. But she didn't pry for any other information, instead settling in comfortably enough to watch.

"Let me know if there's something else you want to watch," Athena commented as she settled in again. "I'll set it to tape with everything else."

Chloe looked a little lost for a moment before she nodded and hid behind her plate. She still wasn't used to having her opinion count for anything.

With that, Athena relaxed as much as she could. She was sure things were going to get tense again soon, so she wanted to relax now while it was relatively calm.

The next few days passed quickly, and Natasha and Clint got two of the lawyers to work on a rush job for the paperwork. Natasha was just hoping that would be enough.

Zee waited out front for the other two assessors to join him so they could take a look around the house. He was not looking forward to this.

Tony stood just outside the front door, arms crossed and with a scowl on his face. He didn't like this one bit.

Inside, Athena was doing her best to keep everyone calm and collected. They couldn't afford for anything to go wrong.

Zee made his way over to Tony first. "Calm yourself before you make anyone even more suspicious," he murmured, giving Tony a bit of a warning look.

"I am calm," Tony replied. "This is as calm as I'm going to get, so might as well get things moving."

Zee huffed but looked over at the other two. When they were all at the door, he looked at Tony and raised an eyebrow, clearly waiting to be let in.

Tony desperately wanted to refuse, but sighed and stepped aside all the same so they could get into the house.

Zee led the way in, glancing around and taking his time perusing the space to give Tony time to get ahead of them or take charge. After all, he was waiting to see if something had changed.

Tony let them in and closed the door behind them.

"Well?" he asked. "Go look around. That's what you're here for, right?"

Zee rolled his eyes but started looking around again. Steve was back in the kitchen, sitting quietly with his hands curled around a cup of coffee, but he was following their visitors with his ears.

Clint, for once, wasn't perched up in the rafters. Instead, he was perched on the arm of the couch, video game controller in his hand. He paused the game and looked over when the three 'inspectors' came in. Bruce, on the other hand, was in the kitchen as well, a pot of tea on the table in front of him.

The other two inspectors looked around, noting Natasha sitting near Clint, obediently wearing a collar for the day. So was Steve actually.

Chloe was busy hiding.

Athena knew that Chloe was hiding, but didn't make an effort to go find her. If Chloe felt safer hiding, then she would let her. So Athena was tucked in one of the armchairs in the main room with a book, for the moment.

The investigators moved through the house, though they noticed a few odd things. Like more humans than weres. And weres with free range of the house. The other two weren't satisfied, but Zee was willing to fudge the truth enough.

"Happy now?" Tony asked when the three made it back to the front of the house. "You got to take a look around, there's nothing going on."

"There are a lot of people here," one of them said. "Only three weres, too. It's odd." He looked at Tony.
