Tony nodded and closed the door behind them after they left. Then he sighed.

"Looks like everything's going to be okay for now," he said.

"Good," Steve said, letting out a quiet sigh. "We can deal with this. We'll just have to be careful those days they come to visit."

Tony nodded.

"Right," he said. "I think we've got them mostly convinced that we're not doing anything illegal, anyways. They just need to get their heads out of each other's asses long enough to realize it." He paused. "Except Zee, he knows better, he's on our side."

Steve chuckled at that. "Sounds about right," he agreed. "Now go outside, Natasha is playing with Clint and you need sunlight."

"I've got a computer to finish disemboweling," Tony said, waving a hand. "Then I'll be out. But take Chloe with you, she could use the socializing."

Steve nodded. "If you're not out in an hour..." he said, letting the sentence trail off threateningly. Because this was pretty normal for them.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Tony replied waving a hand. He knew exactly what would happen. "Chloe, socializing, go."

Steve snorted and went to go get Chloe and take her outside to socialize for a bit.

But he was surprised when Natasha convinced the younger were to shift, leading her off to the side to get a little bit of privacy after shooting Clint a warning look.

Clint raised an eyebrow from where he was perched on a low bit of roof, but sat back to watch.

Athena was on the porch in the shade, a book next to her. It was nice to be outside with the others for a while.

Steve ended up lounging next to Athena, eager to see what Chloe shifted into, since she hadn't said yet.

It took several minutes, but the snow leopard emerged first, long luxurious tail swishing as she looked up at Clint. Then she chuffed, and a smaller mountain lion followed her out into the open, steps cautious and her body lower to the ground. Clearly Chloe wasn't quite as confident as Natasha.

Athena smiled a bit when she saw Natasha; seeing the snow leopard was always a treat. She was curious when the mountain lion came out, though. This was the first time she'd seen or heard anything about what kind of were Chloe was.

Clint leaned over the edge of the roof, lying so he could see the two cats. He briefly wolf-whistled Natasha, giving her a shit-eating grin, and then settled back again.

Natasha flicked her tail at Clint before gently coaxing Chloe into a little game of tag. She was capable of playing, and she could tell Chloe desperately needed it. Natasha had been a were for a while; not as long as Steve, but long enough. And Chloe was woefully under-socialized. So she let her instincts play a larger part and initiated a harmless game of tag.

Soon the two were bounding around the backyard, and Natasha briefly leapt up onto the roof and over Clint. Chloe yowled at the little obstacle the archer provided and paused to sniff him before stepping over him very carefully, so as not to hurt him, before going after Natasha again.

Clint just stayed there, relaxed as they stepped around him. He gave Natasha a quick scratch around the ears as she went by, but didn't try with Chloe just yet. He figured she should get more comfortable around them, first.

Natasha pounced on Steve as she passed, knocking him over, and he just laughed and pushed her off. Chloe was more careful as she approached him and Athena, sniffing at them both. Her ears flickered as she investigated them. Steve just laid there, indulging her and letting Natasha give him a quick, rough bath with a long-suffering sigh.

Athena sat there, too, just letting Chloe investigate. She stretched and sighed, relaxed, and glanced at Steve.

"Not going to join them?" she asked teasingly.

"In a bit," Steve said. "We'll let Chloe get a bit more comfortable first."

He took it as a good sign when she snorted at him, brave enough to swat his leg before leaping away again.

Athena just grinned.

"You cats and your playing," she teased.

Steve laughed. "It's good for the soul," he said with a grin, watching Chloe and Natasha start playing again. "I could lend you a laser pointer, but I think Natasha would win."

Athena snickered.

"I have one," she admitted. "I haven't taken it out yet, but I do have a laser pointer."

"If you do, Natasha will win," Steve said casually. With casual games it didn't matter so much, fortunately. Then he grinned. "Think I should go join them?"

"I think running the border of the property on two legs all the time wasn't quite what you needed," Athena replied. She grinned. "Go on and play."

Steve grinned and went off to the side of the house to strip and change, since he knew some people were still kind of modest. And then the lion went to go introduce himself properly to his little cousin. Chloe stiffened when she saw a freaking lion and would have gone straight up a tree but for Natasha pouncing on her and treating her to a bath.

Athena and Clint both snickered when they saw that, and just watched the three cats socialize.

After a while, Natasha jumped up on the roof to drag Clint down to be the human plaything/hunting practice. Because really, what would be more fun?

Clint laughed and let himself get dragged down, wrestling with Natasha once they were on the ground. This was something he was used to doing.
