Zee shrugged and smirked. "Only because old gremlins like to have new toys."

Tony snickered.

"I can tell," he said. He grinned. "Some new toys due to come out soon, by the way."

"Good, I'll look for them." Zee smirked. "Anything else I should be aware of?"

"Not that I can think of," Tony replied. "Next month, then?"

Zee nodded. "If nothing comes up before then," he agreed, heading out to his truck.

Tony nodded and let him go, heading back inside. Now everyone could finally settle.

A few days later, Warren and Kyle were in town because Kyle had moved. And Kyle decided to check on one of the other law firms in the area to get an idea where he'd stand in this city.

Athena was comfortably busy at the front desk, trying to make sure everything was arranged properly for the firm's employees. She looked up when the door opened.

"Hello," she greeted. "Can I help you?"

"I'm afraid I don't have an appointment," Kyle said with a smile. "I'm new in the area and I'm just looking around."

"Ah, I see," Athena said. "Well, this firm handles mostly domestic situations, rather than corporations."

Kyle nodded. "What kinds of situations? In general, of course."

"Familial disputes," Athena replied. "Interpersonal things. The occasional ownership dispute."

Kyle nodded. "Divorces?" he asked. Because of course he could work with another divorce attorney in town, but it was good to know beforehand.

"Occasionally," Athena replied. "Not often, but not uncommon either." A few of the lawyers in the firm were in the jack-of-all-trades sort of category, handling most of the common domestic and interpersonal disputes. They didn't really 'specialize' in any one sort of case.

Kyle nodded and smiled. "Excellent. You have been very helpful. Thank you." He flashed her one of his best smiles.

"Glad I could help," Athena replied, smiling back in return. It was her professional, just-right smile, although it was still genuine enough. She found that Kyle was rather personable, and she liked that.

"I do have one more question," Kyle said before he left. He grinned. "Where's the nearest place to have lunch? Preferably nothing too spicy today. Otherwise, I'll eat just about anything."

Athena couldn't help but grin.

"Rhine's, around the corner," she said. "Sandwich place, it's really popular."

"Will I have to wait more than ten minutes?" Because 'really popular' sometimes meant 'line out the door waiting for an hour for food'. And he'd rather avoid that.

Kyle, oddly enough, had a house in the area. Not close to Tony's, of course, since Tony owned about two miles around the house. But close enough that Warren could smell others down the road when the wind was right. And he was rather curious.

Athena didn't really think much of it when she saw Kyle at the sandwich place from time to time. He was friendly enough, after all, and they didn't talk often enough to make her wary of him, so she had no idea about Warren or his curiosity.

Kyle did indeed stop by the sandwich place often. They made good sandwiches, after all. But he did give Warren leave to explore some, at least enough to see what borders had been set and smell what was setting them.

So he was rather surprised to hear that there were large cats in the neighborhood. Those weren't exactly common, after all.
