Zee took it and started playing with it, figuring out what he'd changed and how to work it quickly.

And while he poked around something else occurred to him.

"You have wards around this place?"

"You think I'd put together a safehouse and not have wards up?" Tony asked in return, raising an eyebrow. "I did everything I could think of to make this place safe and hidden well enough not to be stumbled over."

"Everyone overlooks something," Zee said with a shrug. "You know I meant no offense." He went back to poking at the tablet.

"Yeah, I know," Tony said. "I did everything I could think of. If I overlooked something, then I still haven't figured out what."

"If you want I can take a look," Zee offered. He figured it wasn't even free; he was getting tech and dinner. Taking a look was worth that.

Tony could see the exchange being proposed, and nodded a bit.

"Sure," he said. Tech and dinner in exchange for Zee looking at the wards? Sounded fair.

Zee nodded. "Later, then," he agreed, because he could hear someone coming down the hall to get them.

Tony nodded and went over to the door to see who was coming down the hall.

Steve looked at him when he opened the door. "Bruce said dinner's ready and if you don't hurry he won't save you any."

Tony snorted.

"Yeah, yeah, we're coming," he said. He grinned. "You see the new arrival yet?"

"Not yet," Steve said, shaking his head a bit. "Nat said she was hanging out in the living room still."

"Another feline," Tony said, grinning. "Athena got her all settled in, as far as I know."

"Do we know what kind of feline?" Steve asked. Because that would dictate a lot of how cautious he'd have to be around her until she got settled in.

"No idea yet," Tony said, shrugging. "Didn't ask."

Steve rolled his eyes. "We'll go find out," he said, motioning for Tony to head down the hall. Zee just watched with a smirk.

Tony rolled his eyes as well, but followed. It was just easier all around not to argue with Steve sometimes.

Steve headed into the kitchen to get food as everyone else did and started to settle down. He could see the new were in the living room still, watching them all, but she didn't seem scared, which was good.

Chloe watched but chose not to join for the moment. Instead she settled a little more comfortably in her chair, letting them all get their food first.

Athena drifted into the kitchen once the others were there, letting them take what they wanted before she made up her plate. She noticed that some of her favorite bits had been left for her; some of the others liked spoiling her, when they could. She suspected Steve.

Steve liked to try and spoil everyone, at least a little. He was definitely an alpha, after all, and alphas liked to spoil their people.

Zee settled in to watch everyone else, watching the easy interactions and the familiarity. They really had set up their own family here.

Once Athena had her plate, she settled on the couch again. The others could sit where they liked, but she wanted to make sure she had her seat first.

There was a chair off to one side that Bruce favored, and Clint just perched on the arm of Natasha's end of the couch.

Chloe finally went to go get some food for herself and went back to her chair, staying silent. She was getting a bit more nervous around the whole family though.

Natasha glanced at Chloe calculatingly. She was holding together pretty well, but this was a lot to take in at a time. Perhaps she'd see about tempting the other were to go on a run later.

Athena kept an eye on Chloe as well, just making sure nothing happened. She knew it would take a while for the new were to get comfortable around the whole family.

Chloe was quick to finish her dinner and skirt around everyone to put her plate in the sink. Natasha glanced at Clint and raised an eyebrow to get his opinion.

Clint studied Chloe for a moment and then gave a so-so gesture to Natasha. He needed to watch the new girl for a bit longer before making a call.

Natasha nodded faintly. There was, of course, the problem of getting her to settle in, but that could wait until tomorrow. It would be easier if she was a canine, but felines were always harder. Even with Steve there as the calmest, best feline influence ever.
