That's okay =D Not your fault my guardian is a 12 hour drive away. So far, mine has 107 days. My guy's stopped aging last week when his resonator got blown off. I doubt I can hold it for 43 days with one resonator on it. Oh well ;) It is just a game after all! I am off to Helios! WOOHOOO!

Well, I no longer have a guardian. On the morning of Helios, it was destroyed.
Oh well! Time to make a new one!

HELIOS was AWESOME! Sadly, there was not enough packets to go around, so not everyone I was with got a pin, badge etc. I managed to get one, so I am kinda excited.

Enlightened actually took San Diego!

My team got to fight over a volatile portal too! It was awesome! I am almost wiped out of resonators and mods, but somehow ended up with extra bursters. I have over 600L8 bursters =D I need to get to killing some blue stuff near my house!

I am glad I went, it was a lot of fun. I ended up on a team with people from my town. That was probably good as we knew each other enough to work well together. I recruited a friend of mine from San Diego and her fiance, they were....Sorta helpful but flaked after 2 "checkpoints". It was fine that they left though, we had fun without them.

I only saw Susana Moyer as far as actors go, and didn't see the niantic van at all. Too bad, I wanted to hack it to have a key =D

I am so tired now. It was a long drive, and a longer weekend (for reasons unrelated to Ingress). I am very glad I went. I can't believe the Enlightened won, we never do that!

Come to Arizona Poet, we have an abundance of them. I think with the apple addition, we are probably now 7 to 1 instead of 5 to 1. Wheeeee.

My team functions by communicating through google+ hangouts. Recently a smurf girl got into one of our hangouts and was spying. I kinda called her out this morning, and all chaos erupted. I don't get why they can't just play the game, why do they have to take it out of game like that? I get that this game is about trolling each other, but sheesh!

well in a game called parallel kingdom it's similar yet different. But that game too has spies trying to get into each others territory.
sometimes spying is the only chance one has to survive.
I've seen it make a huge difference just overhearing something like an attack date

edit - finally did something! I took 3 portals today while we were out at lunch :D

daria just told me about this game. i am thinking i might check it out, but i am skeptical that there is much here where i live it's the most populated city in the state so the chances are better here than anywhere else sooooo perhaps i am wrong!

ok so i did this but i'm still not sure how this is supposed to work. like, i've checked the big mappy thing and surprisingly there are places on there already. do i go to those places? then what? is there some sort of manual or guide on how to play this? lol gosh i'm so blonde right now

ok so i went out and found a portal, did what it asked, finished all the training ops... and then i didn't know what to do so i walked home perhaps i'll investigate online further before i venture out again

Linnea: I can pass you some training guides if you want, will probably have to make a paint file. There is also stuff on Youtube. Reach out to the other players on your team through com, they should help you out. So there were portals in your area, I thought so!

The Wandering Poet: um, well if you have a key you can see if the portal is still yours, if not you can go to it and see. =D

well i am back in my home town so there is all of three portals close by where i live in the city there is many maaaany more so i'm sure i'll have more luck when i get back home! thanks for the tips!

hacking into it doesn't make you own it i don't think. especially if it's your own team color. you can convert the opposite color though

When you hack a portal, you can pick up a Portal Key. You can find them in your inventory. They let you view and recharge that portal from a distance, and are used to create links between portals. In other words, they are very useful!

(Other notes about portal keys: you can only have one key at a time for each portal. Creating a link uses up keys, but you can get a new one by hacking the portal again.)

Hacking is just a way to get gear, like resonators, weapons, and portal keys.

If you want to claim a portal, you have to put a resonator on it, which you do with the DEPLOY button. When a portal is grey (unclaimed) the first person to put a resonator on it will then be the owner. Portal ownership can change pretty often, it's not a permanent thing.
