"So what do we do now?" Bruce asked. He could use some rest, but knew Tony probably wouldn't want to join him.

Tony pulled him over to the bed. "Thought you wanted to cuddle." He said with a smile. "I could go for that." He pulled Bruce onto the bed with him. He put his arms around his boyfriend. ::Though I guess we aren't official yet.:: He thought to himself.

Bruce took of his shoes, placing them neatly under the nightstand before climbing into bed, resting his head on Tony's chest. It was still early, but he was exhausted.

Tony kicked his shoes off onto the floor after he had gotten into bed. He just held Bruce close rubbing his back. "I've been drinking pretty much non stop since I turned twenty-one." He said softly just wanting him to know why this was so hard for him on day one of going cold turkey.

And he's been drinking before that. Bruce knew. He nodded. "I know, babe," he said softly, "You're doing really well. You can do this." He pressed even closer to his boyfriend, enjoying his warmth, and yawned.

Tony held his boyfriend close. He just enjoyed being close to him. "Sleep love." He said with a small smile kissing Bruce's neck. He didn't know if he would be able to sleep but he'd be happy just to hold Bruce.

"You too," Bruce muttered, though he knew it would take a while. Bruce usually didn't have a problem falling asleep - he had a problem staying asleep once the nightmares started. He's been dealing with nightmares every night since he was ten years old. He kissed Tony's cheek and closed his eyes. "Good night."

Tony just rubbed Bruce's back as the other man fell asleep. He was awake for several more hours before he fell asleep himself. Tony woke several hours later in a cold sweat.

Bruce was still asleep when Tony woke up, having managed to sleep through his nightmares, that weren't so bad that night.

Tony carefully got up, not wanting to wake Bruce. He was really tempted to have a drink from the minibar and it took everything in him to not give in to that temptation. He went to the bathroom and splashed water on his face. If this was bad now, how much worse would it get? Maybe he should ask for help with this.

Bruce managed to sleep for a few more hours before he too woke up, shaking. He did one of his breathing exercises until the Other Guy was convinced he was safe and moved to the back of his mind again. It took a while. Bruce reached for the nightstand and took his glass of water. He hated this. Nothing he did seemed to help. Years of therapy. Meds. Weed. He sighed and got out of bed. Tony wasn't in the room.

Tony comes back in. He had been wandering the halls. He looked like absolute hell. "Hey sexy." He said on seeing Bruce. He smiled going to him and kissing him.

Bruce returned the kiss, pulling Tony into a tight hug, the kind that was one of the reason Tony took to call him Brucey Bear.

Tony smiled at the hug. Yep this was his Brucey Bear. Bruce really did give the best hugs. Tony put his arms around his boyfriend just holding tight. Bruce may or may not know it but he is Tony's anchor. The one he keeps him honest, and keeps him grounded. He would be a very different person if it wasn't for Doctor Bruce Banner.

"Rough night?" Bruce asked unnecessarily, still holding Tony tight. He knew all too well what it felt like.

"You could say that... Bruce I'm going to need to go to the hospital. I was doing some reading and found out that going through alcohol withdrawal could be fatal." He mumbled into his shoulder.

(And yes this is true. Learned about it in class.)

"You're not going to die," Bruce said in the steadiest voice he could muster. Tony was beginning to panic, and that was never good.

(actually if people with severe alcoholism try to go cold turkey they can die)

"The research is there Bruce." He said trying his best to calm down. He was scared. This was all starting to be to much for him.
