I think it's really sweet, on ebay also you can easily pick up lovey embelishments for pence, (literally some of the goregoues buttons and charms I've got sometimes for as little as 6p) which would also look great.

I could so see you making like the asian style ruffly aprons, with the sleeve protectors too :O

Also I tend to get lace really cheap, I often find it in charity shops (thrift stores) in all colours and kinds, just keep your eye out, also ebay is a good shout for cheap lace, as is those lacey curtains people use on their windows, they often turn up second hand C:

true. i seem to never be able to get to the thrift store anymore. James (my boyfriend) doesnt like going because he kinda hates shopping... and everyone else just wants to go to the mall. maybe i can arrange something this week....James mom always goes though, and she looks out for it for me. I actually have a fair amount of lace right now. but that is not always the case.

if you find an apron pattern that is like that, i will totally buy it.

Why pay for one you can get loads free online :) but yeah going to a thrift store might be good, remeber to think out of the box, curtains and duvets offer a bounty of fabric far cheaper than buying it off the roll :) (p.s. I'm the world's biggest crafting cheapskate) :P

lol. well i love getting craft supplies for cheap/free. i will have to keep an eye out i suppose. but i feel like shopping for lace takes more time than making these headbands. lol. thats ok, a little lace goes a long way.

have a good sleep!

i also have to make my unicorn dress and i want to learn how to make that shurring... the way you gather fabric at the back of a shirt so it is stretchy without being stretchy fabric.... that... i want to learn that. I cut out some left over bunny fabric to do a trial of that in a shirt... hopefully it works out. that would make selling dresses a lot easier online... the stretchy means it fits more people in each size. but stretchy fabric is full of hate and rage.

I also want to make that winter coat.. did i show you? If not, ill show you tomorrow.

and I want to make a 50's style dress, like my zombie dress and fox dress, but with lace instead of fabric. just line it with fabric. i think it would look amazing. like maybe cream or white lace over bright green? or brown?

C: Also you could make dresses for little girls, C: less fabric and theres a bigger market, grandparents will often buy for a higher price for their grandchildren as they usually have disposible income C: Rulo loops might be a good thing to learn too C:

And yes I want to see the winter coat, you haven't told me about it before.

That sounds sweet, I love 1950's dresses C:

Well, it's not really a shop as such, I don't get paid :D
Well I get paid in the satisfaction of painstakingly making colour schemes or items work :P

they wouldnt be cheaper because it requires more work. and i see little girls clothing like this all the time, the reason i make it is because i want to wear little girl clothing. modern women clothing is never as modest or fun.

it might be a while before i put something up as clothing on etsy... but i will put up any commissions i do get. I have one right now so thats good.

what are Rulo loops?

They're used a lot on girls clothing, so might fit with the vibe you want. C:
I'm not one for modesty, as such, I mean i rarely expose much but I think some of my clothes just tell you I don't care. I'm currently tempted by a t-shirt that says 'met god, shes black'

ignore the grossness of the dress in the image, it's the little tubey straps, but they can be tied as bows on the shoulders which look SO cute

Redirect Notice

like the dress in the middle here:
http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/images/ic/94...b/p017sdpq.jpg

but with the little straps, like spagetti straps C:

well anyways. here is my winter coat idea:

its going to take a lot of work to get it done, but i think it will be worth it. I am not going to be selling this... because it would be so much money... there is a total of over 12 yards of fabric in it.

I made this new winter outfit the other week. I wonder if I could get some rates and comments on it, please.

It seems to have turned out well, and I like it, even though it looks rather plain to me.

I love craft supplies, too. I just made a friendship bracelet this morning.

i have a job... and i work full time. and i work really hard at it. i dont know where i find time to sew all this stuff to be honest. i just make the time because i love to do it. but i also have friends who want to hang out with me every week (tea time with two friends, DnD on fridays, Sewing with James' mom on wendesdays and Tuesday and Thursday I go to the Gym) But i want to make it work. If i can supplement my income enough with etsy... maybe i can finally buy a home.

it depends on the fabric. some are only $4 a yard. but most are more like $12... which still isnt bad. it just gets bad when you want things like silks or velvet which are more like $15 to $20 a yard and you need like 11 yards...

and it also depends on the pattern. some patterns only require 2 yards. so again, not bad even if you use an expensive fabric.

this coat though... its going to be expensive because the yardage and the fabric. I need it to be warm for the -29 winters we get here every year.... and it has to not only be heavy but durable because of the salts. so no cheap fabrics allowed. hence the not for sale aspect.

bu the 50's dress i think i could swing. (pun intended) i just have to figure everything out for it. and the shurring would help a lot for flexibility in sizing. i think i would still only offer size 6 to 10 though. with special orders for other sizes being more expensive.

Thank you. ^.^ I didn't want my outfit to be too one color bland, or call attention to any differences in shades of blue in it. Not only does the rainbow help on those accounts, but it also suggests she is - or can - do magic with the staff.
