Anybody enjoying this new expansion far too much? I'm enjoying the side quests with your companions. I'm 3 bars away from 70 on my main and the game play on the new crusader class is really fun. :D Also I love the changes they made to loot and stats. :D

I loved Diablo 2, but found Diablo 3 to be a bit of a disappointment. Is the expansion worth the money? Can you tell me what you love about it? I felt like I had finished 3 too quickly, and both 1 and 2 took more time for me to get through.

I wasn't impressed with D3 at original launch either. I never got any of my characters to level 60. A lot of the core game play I enjoyed from D2 was missing and it didn't feel like the same play style or game. Well, the expansion fixed a lot of what I didn't like about it. They removed the real money/gold auction house and changed the way loot works so you have a far greater chance at getting what's good for you. The features in the expansion to me is what D3 should have launched in the first place. The adventure mode in particular is pure win! Also the crafting is more complex now.

In Adventure mode you go for bounties at different locations around the map and at the end of the map you head into a rift which has a randomized map and monsters and a unique end "boss". Sooo much loots from surviving till the end. Basicly they've found a way to make grinding for gear FUN! I was really surprised by it. I figured after I did the campaign it was going to be the same story and that I wouldn't make it passed 70 or even hit it. I'm glad I was wrong and gave it a chance. :D

The paragon points you get to collect after you hit level 70 gives you a sense of further progression at max level that the first launch of D3 was missing. Also the choice of where to put points into is much more similar to what was given in D2. I know a lot of people weren't fans of the points from leveling going into automatic skills. With Paragon you get to choose. And the points are account bound so all of your characters get access to them. You don't feel guilty for spending time on an alt which is amazing.

Also...being a fan of dressing up avatars the Mystic has this transmogrify thing she does where you can make your armor look like any of the armor you've had in the past/new transmogs every time you level her. . .but it's kinda a dangerous money sink for me right now until I get my hellfire ring and up all my crafting skills to max. XD
