That's only vampire bats! All other bats don't have sharp teeth because they eat either fruit or bugs.

It's a case of you get told these things like bats will peck your eyes out beacuse it's as much for your protection from their little teeth and the bats.

Like in Turkey they get told that the lizards, geckos and chameleons are all poisionous. And tortoises if they wee on you you'll get warts.

I've only heard of crows pecking at human eyes. Yeah, I think bats try to avoid humans.
My cat only ever kills lizards, cockroaches, centipedes, and other insects. There are no rats inside the house, thankfully.

I'm not a big fan of insects.

That's why I like bats, they're cute, they leave me alone, and the nom nom on those terrible little buggies I hate!

My granma's house had rats. Catching them was.. Kinda fun, we chased the rat into a storage room and pulled traps and sacks to catch them while they tried to escape they stink, though.

I'd like a bat as a pet, but they're not really an animal you could domesticate.

There was this baby bat who was still confused about flying, I guess. He kept falling back on the ground. Thankfully, the humans who saw the bat didn't harm him, they just simply ignored the bat and waited for it to finally fly away. :3
I'm scared of rats AND insects, which is why I'm grateful to have my cat around. xD

You can get prosecuted over here for touching bats without a licence because most of them are now protected spiecies. On the plus side we've eradicated rabies over here so it's not a case of no touchy it's rabid.

Poor little bats. They're in abundance here, I always seem them flying around at night.
Usually I'm like, "Yes, you go bat! Eat all the little critters around my house!" and we share a special moment.

We actually don't have many bats here in NJ. :P
