Its a little challenging though because theres not actually a pattern, the person who made the scarf just kind of listed rough directions on how she made it.

Oh, it sounds simple enough, just time-consuming. I used to crochet pretty fast, though, so I could totally make one.

I like the whole idea, braided scarves. It's neat.

I'm still just a beginner at crochet, but the first part of my scarf turned out pretty good I think. :) Got the first part done in about a day, so I think maybe a week and I can have the scarf made. I hopefully have enough yarn, I'm using a different yarn and hook size than the person used. The first part took a little over half of one of my skeins of yarn.

I think I've got like 2 full skeins of grey, and most of a purple one, so I'm considering doing something with it now...

I haven't done crochet in so long, but it was always lotsa fun.

I'm making the scarf in the same color as the one on pintrest. A lovely shade of mustard yellow. The only other yarn I have is a partial bit of yarn left from a skein of gray yarn from my first crochet project. And I have a large skein of some grayish-blue yarn.

Just heard too that theres apparently a farm with alpacas outside of town where you can buy yarn, need to check that out sometime.

I'm actually thinking if I ever can go back to school I want to go back for Agriculture, in the wool industry. I want sheep, I'm thinkinking shetlands to start. And some alpacas later on.

I like a good scarf, it's bloody hot here this time of year, but it isn't always... and the last scarf I made I gave away.

I want to hear more about this wonderful incomplete scarf.

Japanese candy... I had some of those little White Rabbits or whatever they're called, like Tootsie Rolls, but milk flavoured? Oh my god, I love those!
oo Never heard of those o.o they sound kinda yummy though

Oh yeah, they're like white with blue on, on the wrappers, I think.

Like "Milk Toffee" or sommat, I don't remember.

I just know they're like vanilla Tootsie Rolls, and they're freaking awesome.

I like how a lot of Japanese stuff is so different from how we'd do it, it's nice sometimes. Like the flavors they use for things, that you can't find American versions of.

Yeah, I just tried a bunch of stuff that was green tea flavored XD Like a soft oreo that was green tea flavored. Japanese candy is fun (and tasty) I'm thinking of signing up for another Japanese snack/candy box service called Okashi connection, in addition to my skosh box subscription. More fun candy to try! \o/

Hnnng, guys, I'm kinda starting to think about going back to school, mainly agriculture, the wool/fiber industry to be specific. The college in my town offers a two year online course, but it costs $14,209 for the program. Whatcha guys think. I'd have to get a second job possibly, but I don't know.

That's entirely up to you, if you think it's worth it...

I'd say be really sure before committing to an expense like that, is all.

Well, I've been getting quite interested in the wool industry/sheep/alpacas since starting to learn to crochet. I've decided I'd love a farm someday, nothing huge, but big enough where I could live comfortably. I'm mainly interested in sheep at the moment, but I'd have no experience with the running of a farm. And I think this program would be good to help me learn the things I'd need to know, or at least the basics.

But the cost is a little deterring. I like where I work but I'd need a lot more hours to make this work.

The small is so not a small. D8

I've always wanted to post something in the Letters You Cant Send thread but I'm too afraid, haha. I guess it can all stay safely in my mind tank so I can dwell on it instead~

I've always wondered about when avi's have things hanging from the ceiling. Are the strings tied to birds?

I think it's super awesome though, gold and purple is always such a great combination.

---------- Post added 08-14-2014 at 03:34 PM ----------

I got so caught up in the bird thing I forgot to link this.

I did, thank you Wonder. We stayed at a fancy hotel, went shopping and my Ricky bought me lots of pretty things. Then we went to the National Gallery and the Natural History Museum the next day which was awesome, and I got a print of Monet's Water Lily Pond. And I got a tattoo yesterday and then we went to the Aquarium. And today I get to go get my kitty. :D I'm a very lucky birthday girlie.

Ow, a tattoo, what did you get done if you don't mind me asking? And did it hurt?
