I am probably the only one that has talked so far that has actually hunted o.o

My personal favorite is the back-strap of a deer. With a bake potato, some pea's, and maybe some biscuits, it's sublime.

I don't know how people would like to eat those lovelylittlesweetiethings. =(
I've been told by my dad that in Phillippines he had seen people boiling/doing something to the bat eggs which is half grown, like with the eyes but not the whole body and drinking them down. Eew.

I haven't gone hunting since I was a kid. *debating on whether he should renew his hunting license* I absolutely LOVE it when my family makes deer sausage, and patties, and burgers... The perfect spicy addition to breakfast!

...What? I thought it was just duck eggs! Wait- bats are mammals... Did you mean 19 day old duck eggs? 20 days is the gestation period and they boil them the day before and eat that. Grossest thing I've ever seen.

If it makes you feel better, hummy, I hate sport hunting. If you're in it just to mount the antlers you're doing it wrong.

they use all of the deer, nothing goes to waste. and now they mostly hunt with a bow and arrow but i still do not like it. they are such beautiful animals and it makes me sob to think they are drinking from a babling brooke one minute and on someone's truck hood the next

If it makes you feel better, you could think as if you're saving them. If the Deer population overgrows, they'd all end up starving and dying. What we do, while it may be killing them, is also saving them.

I don't sport hunt. Yes, I mount the head, but I eat what I kill. It's only proper. Final respect to a dead creature.

It is true, by god it is. atleast, at smaller farms, they make it quick. In Slaughterhouses, they just make it last longer. It's horrible.

I understand that it has to be done and we can't just live off vegetables (not unless you are a vegetarian). But atleast they could have more compassion about the poor animals :/

If I see that my shot has killed the animal, and that it's on limited time, I shoot it in the head. I don't care if it's 'wasting ammo', I have morals, goddamnit.

I have morals when it comes to doing what's right. When IT comes to getting in the way of getting things done, that's another story......though, that subject is neither here, nor their.

Hummy: I see it as the circle of life. We have our place, too... like the bear man, who lived with bears for a year filming a documentary and reportedly "became one with his inner bear" and on the day he had to leave, he was mauled to death. Tragic irony.

zombie: It's hard to find a true documentary about animal slaughter. I think Dirty Jobs did it best. Mike Rowe showed us all the crazy weird things, but from a scientific point of view without the scary music. PETA pumps out junk on how horrible it is to clip piglet teeth and tails, but the farmer with Mike explains that it's because babies will fight over their mother's milk and their sharp back teeth are actually weapons and they'll chew off their sibling's tail. I can't way anything about those other shots the piglets get (if it's healthy or just to fatten them up) but the one they get as babies is to keep them from getting infections after the clipping.

Andraus: I don't know what it is, but I don't think I could have my kill staring me down forevermore. I think it's that superbowl commercial where the moose burst out of the wall from behind its plaque.

Lexii: A lot of it is true. I think what scares people the most isn't the animal abuse, but finding out what we're eating. It's conflicting for me.
