Summer is coming.
One season closer to winter.
And here we see my weak attempt to stay positive while everyone else is excited about warmer temperatures and making me hiss.
There are so many people going door-to-door lately. IT'S NOT HELPFUL.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm not excited about the warmer temperatures either. I hate the heat. It makes me not want to do anything. But the sun is good for my depression.

Literally, a person will walk through a neighborhood and go to everyone's house, and try to offer their goods or services or sometimes try to talk to you about religion.

I'm a huge fan of staying inside with the air conditioning on when it's hot. Weather has been relatively mild here and Mark consistently tames the jungle/woods/yard - fewer bugs so far this year. Had a rather pitiful text from Mark after he arrived at work. We both checked 3-4 different weather sites and none of them predicted the rain last night until after he arrived at work - not 10-15 minutes after he left the house.
Off for errands today!! Should be fun. Pretty sure Otto will tackle an unsuspecting elderly lady/man and give them his life story. It's very weird to have such an extroverted kid, but a lot of fun!

Haha, oh goodness. Poor Mark. Unexpected rain is so not fun.
Hope the errands go well and that it keeps the kids busy and distracted! Haha, oh Otto. He sounds adorable. :D

@Lexadis: People selling things, wanting to do yard work… You never know.
Oh, did you mean… Going door to door means walking up to houses and asking the residents if they want to buy something you're selling. After you're done there? On to the next house. Sometimes people just leave a flyer as advertisement.

We get a lot of people trying to get lawn work, but they aren't pushy. They're really nice! We don't get many pushy people, but there was one time when someone was trying way too hard to sell windows. My mom said no at first, but he kept trying to get a sale. So then she said to just give her a number so she could have a chance to talk about it with her husband, but the salesman actually said no one ever calls when they get a number. My word! If he's selling a product like that when the potential buyer already said no, no wonder they don't call‼

Poor Amane. I have been having troubles with purple pens lately. I expect a nice pure purple, and it's more in the purpley blue range. So frustrating.

Red is my favorite color, but usually people are pretty good about nice reds. I have a few nail stickies that don't come as red as I'd like them.
Purple and blue seem to be the hardest. I think because there isn't a clear distinction with them. When does blue stop being blue and start being green or purple? Harder to tell than when red becomes orange. Because red become orange very quickly.

Ooh we have a load of door to door beggars and salesmen. Sometimes they bring clothes or jewellery, and at those times I'll look at them Are fishermen and knife-sharpening people considered door to door too?
Oh purple looking like blue. One thing I don't like! When I use purple to mark off certain words it doesn't pop out at all, because it looks awfully similar to blue/black ink.

You get fishermen and knife-sharpening people at your door?
Most of the beggars I see are holding signs by the road. I see so many of them these days. It makes me sad. I want door-to-door jewelry sellers‼
A lot of times I think black ink looks blue.

So true. I use pens for my art, too, so if I wanted a purple, and it turns out blue, it's really disappointing art wise.
---------- Post added 06-12-2014 at 02:47 PM ----------
In most places in America, door-to-door begging is a crime, so that's generally why it's not done. Especially here in Texas where property laws are a big deal. But in countries where giving to the poor is considered part of a duty (usually for religious reasons), door-to-door begging is more common.

I don't have good enough programs to color like that. I just go into MS paint, trace over the drawing, and use the Fill tool for coloring.

Gimp and I are....not friends. Heh. It's too complicated for me.
Also, my tracing is always so shaky! And I make such precise lines in real life that it's a very noticeable difference.
