I made an account who knows how long ago but I never used it and abandoned it. So I made a new one today. I guess that counts as me being a newbie/fresh meat, right?
Anyway, I've been looking for a new forum especially since gaia is becoming a pit of despair and death and I'd rather use a friendlier place. I'm not good at introducing myself, sorry. All I can really say is that I'm 28 and I like k-pop and pokemon (wow I sound like such an adult) but that's all there is to me, really. Sad, I know.

Oh, "adult things" are so overrated. Play pokemon as long as you like. XD
I think you should be able to find friends here! A lot of us are in the same boat after gaia started going craaaazy.
Welcome back to Mene!

I know, I always get people who give me issues about liking stuff like pokemon at my age, but I don't see how it's hurting anyone. In fact, I work with kids and they love that I know so much about pokemon. They're always asking me questions about how to do stuff. It makes me feel special tbh

Yeah! That's awesome. ^_^ See, even the kids know you're a cool person, hahaha.
I'm 21 and I still like a lot of things like that. I think my generation is okay with liking stuff like pokemon and video games, though.
My husband is a lot older but we still have a lot of stuff in common cause we're both just big kids.
Vidja games for life.

Growing up sucks as it is, so I don't think it's bad to induldge in stuff that people generally claim is 'for kids' sometimes. I pay bills and go to work and stuff, I'll play video games or color or whatever if I want to, I earned it.

Yeah, definitely don't be worried about liking stuff like pokemon. I am a bit of a Disney music junkie right now... it's a bit more 'acceptable' but it's the same thing. Pokemon never stopped being awesome so there's no reason for you to stop enjoying it!
Aw yiss... Vidja gaaames and coloring!
my niece's coloring books sometimes go... missing.

I have a little stack of coloring books. Best place to get them is the dollar store, especially since now they seem to put out some actual known characters and such. My only peeve with coloring books is the weird tan-brown type paper. Makes colors look weird and it's so thin.

Hello and welcome to Menewsha!
Pokemon knows no age limits, I say. Any time, anywhere, at any age, Pokemon!
I used to be actively collecting the cards and participating in small tournaments back in the day. No idea where they all are now.

Yeah, no thanks to the anime. I'm all for the games though. The games are more suited for adults anyway. I don't think the anime is really that popular anymore (though I could be wrong.)

ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ for the soul!
I used to watch the Pokemon anime, but I stopped keeping tabs somewhere mid-Johto, I think. I did enjoy a few of the movies, though. It's sometimes nice to see what are pixels in games animated on screen. If I have the time, one day I'll go back to Black/White and actually finish the game. They added a lot of content and I couldn't manage to finish it and when I went back to the game after a few weeks I completely forgot what I was doing.

I haaaaaate that with games, when I put them down for a while or stop to play another and I totally forget what I was doing. Which means I either quit the game again or restart it. Usually I just quit it haha.

I usually restart my games if I like it enough, or if the storyline and gameplay is compelling enough for me to go on.
Some games are just not worth the effort, though. Usually for RPGs, I just let them die and watch clips and gameplays on Youtube. One of those games I had to restart because I totally forgot what was going on was an Ace Attorney games, Justice For All, because the cases were very story-driven.

Why you do this, Iro?
Woohyun:
I quit games most of the time, too. Just drop them, forget about them for a year and then suddenly rediscover it like it was a magical item from my past. xD
What kind of games do you like most?
