"Not yet," Bucky said. "I was waiting for you. It's rude to start early, y'know."

"I wouldn't have minded," Rea said. "But this is more fun." She grinned at him briefly. "So, are you a black coffee guy, coffee with cream, or coffee creation?"

"Black coffee," Bucky replied. He made a face. "I'm not into that frilly coffee nonsense."

Rea laughed. "I can't drink plain black coffee," she said. "Too bitter. But I don't usually get the really frilly things, mostly I just add cream."

Bucky shrugged.

"I just got used to black coffee, I guess," he said. "When it's all you've got, you get used to it or go without."

"Very true." Rea shook her head a bit. "Well, let's grab some coffee and I'll go cream mine appropriately and then we can chat." She grinned, though her fingers were twitching nervously.

"Sounds like a plan," Bucky said. He opened the door for her and grinned. "After you."

"Thanks." Rea headed inside to order a cup of coffee. She was kind of looking forward to this conversation.

Bucky followed her inside to order his own coffee, and then let her pick where they sat. He did, however, make sure he had his back as close to the wall as he could when they did sit down.

Rea picked a corner table for them and let him take the corner, trusting him to watch behind her.

"There, much better. Creamed to about half and half." She grinned.

Bucky made a face.

"I don't know how you can drink it like that," he said. He took a sip of his black coffee and grinned. "This is the good stuff."

"Too bitter," Rea said, shaking her head. "Creamed is good." She grinned at him.

"So, how goes metal working? Still as stubborn as ever?"

"A bit," Bucky said. "Got a couple of amulets to work, so that's something." He looked at her. "What about you and that clay?"

"Well, the clay and I have reconciled, for now," Rea said with a grin. "I got a couple mugs made for a client, and I've got a set of bowls up next."

"Good to hear," Bucky said, grinning. "So is that what you do for a living?"

"Pretty much. I sell things. Mostly I work with ceramics, but I also do some wood work, some knitting, a little bit of jewelry making and things." She shrugged. "I dabble in a lot of things, anything that's decently cheap to buy and makes me money, essentially." She grinned.

"That's a lot of dabbling," Bucky said, a bit impressed. "Any sort of specialty?"

"My only real specialty is the ceramics. I can make almost anything. Vases, mugs, bowls, those are all common requests. I've made frames, signs, spoons..." Rea shrugged. "All sorts of things."

"Fun stuff," Bucky said. He grinned. "I think the most amusing thing I've ever been asked for was a self-cleaning titanium spork."

"...What? A self-cleaning titanium spork...?" Rea shook her head, bemused. "That is... bizarre. And kinda funny, actually."

Bucky shrugged.

"I didn't ask," he said. "I just did what the guy asked for and spelled a titanium spork so that nothing would stick to it."

"Oh man. That's kinda crazy." Rea shook her head. "Well, whatever the customer wants, I guess." But she was grinning.

"No kidding," Bucky replied. "Any crazies on your end?" Because he knew there had to be someone.

"Oh yeah," Rea said, rolling her eyes. "I had someone ask me if I could make ceramic bedtoys." Which was the politest way she could think of to phrase it. "And then when I said no she asked about making them out of wood."

Bucky snorted and nearly choked on his coffee.

"No way," he said. "Really?"
