Rea noticed his sudden stillness and glanced back at him before she grinned. Well, apparently that was one good way to get his attention.

Bucky stood there for a moment more before reluctantly stepping away again. Being around all that metal felt good.

"Guess you're looking forward to the metalworking class now, huh?" Rea grinned, unable to help the bit of teasing.

"Yeah," Bucky said, nodding. "It'll be good." Not just fun, but good.

Rea nodded. "Workshops are always good," she agreed. "Getting in some socializing and all that, along with learning new stuff.

Bucky nodded a bit.

"Working with good materials will be nice, too," he said. "Not having to pay an arm and a leg for them."

"Oh I know. I have to order in clay for some things, it drives me up the wall." Rea shook her head.

"I know how it can be to order things," Bucky said, nodding. He rolled up his left sleeve some to expose the metal underneath. "Repairing this is a bitch and a half, sometimes."

"I bet." Rea looked at his arm for a moment before looking at him again. "That looks like a pain."

"You get used to it," Bucky said, rolling his sleeve down again. "I'm just glad they were able to make it work. I didn't want to be stuck with a claw or, or nothing at all."

"Yeah." Rea nudged him. "Well, let's go see who's in the clay shop, I need to look at the open schedule for the oven anyway."

"Sure," Bucky said, gesturing for her to go first.

Rea made her way over to the clay ovens and checked the schedules so she could bring a few things down to harden properly. That was always fun.

Bucky watched, kind of glad he didn't need the kilns. He did, however, make a mental note to check out the forges and see what they wanted in order to let him use them.

Rea finished and looked over at him. "There's a cute pond on campus with lots of fish if you want to take a look."

"Sure," Bucky said. "Really, I've got time to kill today, so wherever you want to go is fine with me."

Rea chuckled. "We'll go see the pond and then I'll head home and start cleaning," she said. "So you can come take a look sometime before workshops are over."

Bucky grinned a bit.

"Well, then, after you," he said.

Rea grinned and headed up to the pond with him, picking a bench a little bit away from the students.

"It's kind of nice here," Bucky said, sitting down on the bench. "I can see why Steve spends so much time around here, aside from the girl he apparently met."

"Back here it's nice and restful, anywhere there are a lot of students it's busy and bustling." Rea shrugged. "I don't normally get along well with crowds."

"Neither do I," Bucky admitted. "Crowds are rough sometimes."

"Yeah. At least you've got a good reason. I'm just weird." Rea shrugged. "Don't do well with crowds, don't do well in elevators with more than one or two other people. Don't do well in small dark places."

Bucky shrugged a bit.

"Nothing wrong with that," he said. "I hear everyone's got something they don't like."

"Yeah, most people seem to," Rea agreed with a little shrug. "Most people won't admit it."
