Rea laughed. "Oh, I don't know, that one's still kind of attached and I don't think I could use it for much except squishing stuff. But if I see a bug I'll let you know."

Bucky snickered.

"You do that," he said, grinning. "Though it is pretty easy to, ah..." Here, he popped off his arm and offered it to her hand-first.

Rea looked at him for a moment before she just started laughing, shaking her head.

"Oh man, I had no idea," she said before she started laughing again. He just looked hysterical.

Bucky grinned and popped the arm back on.

"It has to be able to come off," he said. "Though it's one of the early models for actual motion. I hear the newer ones are a lot better."

"Newer ones are always better," Rea pointed out. "For just about anything that has any technology in it." But she heard just a touch of longing in his voice and made a mental note.

"Yeah, I know," Bucky said. "Still, this one works well enough." Although he definitely wouldn't mind a newer one, if he could ever afford it.

"Good." Rea turned on the coffee machine and got out the cookies and scones. "Help yourself, take some of them away from me, otherwise they'll end up forgotten on top of the fridge."

"Does that happen often?" Bucky asked as he sat down at the table. He looked around. "Nice place, by the way."

"Thanks. More often than I like." Rea shrugged. "People say I'm absent-minded. I just tend to forget about things like food and sleep."

"Welcome to the club," Bucky said, grinning a bit. "Steve would say the same about me, I think."

"Sounds like." Rea grinned. "Hey, we could be each others' keepers." She was mostly joking.

Bucky snickered.

"I'm sure Steve would love that," he said. "Give him more time to fawn over his girl instead of nagging me."

"Ah, so he is still going with the same girl." Rea grinned. "That's good, right?"

"Considering his history with girls?" Bucky said. "It's terrific. I'm amazed he's lasted this long. I've never met this girl, either, so I have no idea how good she might be for him."

"You should see if you can meet her. Arrange a double date or something, so you won't be the third wheel and you have other options in case they get disgustingly cute or anything." Rea grinned.

Bucky snorted.

"Yeah, no, the last double-date we tried didn't end well," he said. "Took the girls to an amusement park, they ended up sick from the rides." He shrugged. "He'll bring her around soon, I'm sure."

"Uh huh. Well, let me know if you change your mind, I'm game." Rea shrugged and got out a couple mugs as the coffee machine beeped at her.

"I will, promise," Bucky said, taking a mug as it was handed to him.

Rea settled in to relax with him for a little while in the kitchen. Hey, at least her apartment was clean and not covered in clay.

Elsewhere, Chastity had just made it back to her apartment to find a note taped to her door. The words 'Eviction Notice' were written across the top, in bold, and just seeing those two words made her nearly begin to panic. Tearing the note down, she read it. The wording was vague, andshe couldn't quite tell what they were evicting her for, but it had the signature of the landlord on it, and a note to be packed up and out in three days. Hands shaking, she pulled out her phone and called the first person she could think of for help and waited for Rea to pick up.

Rea blinked and looked at her phone, and held up a finger to Bucky, silently asking him to wait just a minute.

"Hey, what's up?" she said as she answered. She hadn't heard from Chastity in a few weeks, after all.

"Rea?" Chastity tried and failed to keep her voice from shaking. "Listen, are you-- Are you busy right now?"

"A little, but it's fine. What's wrong?" Rea frowned. Something was definitely wrong. Chastity only asked if she was busy when she needed something, be it venting or drinks or an emergency pick up.

"There was an eviction notice on my door," Chastity said, trying very hard not to get too upset yet.

"An eviction notice?" Rea frowned. "That's not right. Does it give you a reason why?" She moved back to one side of her apartment to pull on shoes, shooting Bucky an apologetic look.
