"It's-- it's vague," Chastity said. "Something about the comfort of my neighbors and unnatural practices."

Bucky just waved a hand, getting up as well. This sounded important, so he didn't mind.

"Uh huh. So he's discriminating. Take a couple pictures of the notice and we'll get a copy of it, too," Rea said. "I don't think he's allowed to just kick you out like this, after all."

"What if there were complaints, though?" Chastity asked. "What if my neighbors really do want me out?"

"Then you move out, I guess," Rea said with a shrug. "No use in staying and antagonizing them. You come stay here until you can find a new place."

"Are you sure?" Chastity asked. "I mean, I'm sure I can find a motel or something for a few days..." She didn't want to impose on her friend any more than she had to.

"No, it's fine. Really. It'll be a bit cramped, sorry about that, but my apartment is actually clean for once," Rea said, trying to cheer her up a bit. "And I've got scones. Really, it'll be fine, I promise. I don't mind."

"The notice says I have to be out in three days," Chastity said, her hands still shaking. "I don't know if they'll give me that long, and just taking apart my loom will take a while. I don't know when I'll be there." She was quiet for a moment. "Just until I can find something else."

"I know. It's fine. I can head over tomorrow and help you pack up, I don't have anything planned tomorrow." Because Rea could at least do that. "Especially if they're only giving you three days."

"I hope I'm not messing up any of your plans," Chastity said. "I just... didn't know who else to call."

"No, it's fine, I'm glad you called me and didn't just try to ignore this," Rea said. "Really. I can't make it over there tonight but tomorrow I promise I'll be there and I'll help you move your stuff. We'll just have to get a taxi or rent a truck or something."

"Alright," Chastity said. "Thanks, Rea. I really appreciate it. I'm sorry if I interrupted your evening."

"You're fine. I'll text you before I head over, okay? Get some tea and take a hot shower and get some sleep. You'll be okay." Rea scribbled herself a quick note.

"Okay. I'll try to get some sleep." Chastity wasn't sure how well it would work out; she was so worked up over the situation that she felt queasy. But she would try.

"Good. Tea, shower, sleep." Rea shook her head a bit. "I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"I'll see you then," Chastity said. She reluctantly hung up the phone and just looked around her apartment helplessly before she drifted into the kitchen for some tea.

Rea hung up as well and sat back at the kitchen table with a sigh, rubbing her temples. Oh sometimes she hated people, so much.

"So what's going on?" Bucky asked once Rea sat back down at the table. "How bad is it?"

"My friend's got three days to move out of her apartment," Rea said with a sigh. "None of her stuff is packed, neither of us owns a car because it's just not worth it in this city with everything so close, and she doesn't have any other place to go. I have no idea how we'll both fit in here but we'll just have to for a few weeks, until she can find a new place."

"Three days to move out is a little sudden," Bucky said, sitting down at the table as well. "Did something happen?"

"No clue. She said she just got back and the note was taped to her door and signed by the super," Rea said with a shrug. "So I don't know if something happened or they just changed their minds or what."

"So she was evicted," Bucky said. "That sucks. It's hard to dispute an eviction notice, too."

"Yeah. So she's coming to stay here for a bit." Rea shrugged. "We'll just have to be sure not to scare her too badly." She grinned teasingly at him.

Bucky snorted.

"I'm not scary," he said. He grinned. "Anyone who tells you otherwise is a filthy liar."

Rea grinned. "Oh I'm sure," she said, just a touch of sarcasm in her voice. "Not scary at all. Right." She snorted. "Besides, I meant more us, but both ways work."

Bucky just gave her a bit of a shit-eating grin at that.

"We can be discreet," he said. "Or, if you'd rather, I can keep my distance until she's gone again."
