"You can make it a challenge pretty easily," Steve said with a bit of a grin. He was kind of looking forward to seeing what she came up with, if she did decide to go with a challenge.

Chastity just grinned.

"In that case, I am in sudden, desperate need of a latte that tastes like a Butterbeer," she said, looking at the barista.

"Done." He smirked and started working. When he was done, he slid the to-go cup to her. "See how that is."

Chastity grinned and took a sip. Then she blinked.

"That is absolutely magical," she said, looking at the cup in surprise.

He grinned in success.

"Told you he's good," Steve said with a little grin of his own.

"That's amazing," Chastity said, grinning. She looked at the barista. "You, sir, must be some sort of beverage god or something."

Nick grinned and bowed. Steve just chuckled at him, shaking his head a bit.

Chastity grinned and took another sip of her latte, waiting for Steve to get what he wanted so they could find a seat.

Steve just got his normal black coffee and paid before he motioned for her to pick a table. At this hour, it wasn't too busy.

"So I can see why you like coming here," Chastity said as she sat down at a table against the wall.

Steve nodded. "It's a nice place. Usually pretty quiet, pretty calm. The employees are all great." He smiled, a little shyly. "They know my normal order by now."

"I knew you were a regular," Chastity teased him. "I'm not surprised at all."

"I do a lot of studies here. There are enough people who come in that I get a lot of practice." Steve grinned. "And free refills on regular coffee."

Chastity grinned.

"Sounds like fun," she said. "Maybe I should bring my sewing with me sometime."

Steve nodded. "I've seen someone with knitting here before," he said. "It's kind of fun to watch."

"I prefer crochet," Chastity admitted. "And I have a thing for silk yarn. But right now I'm working on some sewing projects. Embroidery with runes and things like that."

"That sounds like a lot of work," Steve said with s bit of a grimace. "And a lot of poring over details."

"I like it," Chastity said. "Different thread fibers take to different runes, it's fun to play around with them."

Steve chuckled. "If you say so," he said with a bit of a grin. "I know nothing about fabrics and all that. I just draw."

Chastity grinned.

"Thread magic can take some finagling sometimes, but it's useful," she said.

"I bet. Probably gets some extra income, too." Steve smiled a bit, because he knew how important that was as a student. Even though the Army was covering his school expenses at the moment still.

"Every little bit helps," Chastity agreed. She stretched a bit and took another sip of her butterbeer coffee. "Besides, being a thread mage definitely has some perks when it comes to being a design student."

Steve laughed a bit. "I bet," he said with a grin. "Probably makes the classes a lot easier."

"Sometimes," Chastity admitted. "Sometimes not. Weaving is boring after a while, no matter how much thread magic a person has." She grinned. "Enough about me. What about you? Why the art department?"

Steve shrugged, looking briefly uncomfortable. "I've always been drawing, even when I was in the Army," he said. "My best friend always teases me about it, but he pushed me to actually take some classes and refine my art some." He grinned. "So now he's a jerk with good ideas occasionally."
