Well whichever time zone, it shouldn't be the GMT +8 one because my time zone is usually when everyone else is asleep while I poke around online all lonely and stuffs. ;;;

Haha, it's a sweet idea PiM, but really, what we need to aim for is more people on all the time. That would make beating that number a whole lot easier. It's absolutely a number I'd love to top, but it would feel like way more of an achievement if we managed it genuinely, rather than all logging into our mules and so on.

Not gonna lie, I've no idea why there was so many on on that day!

Yeah, getting people to stick around is always the problem. >< Beating the online record is definitely a fun challenge to go for, I just think it would be aiming a little high at this point. It's absolutely a good end goal though, and not too far away, like years or something. I'm up for some brainstorming for it. It would need a lot of planning to be able to get enough people to log in at once to top that record.

And one very important factor. Having that many people on at once could well crash the server. It may well be that that record was formed by some people trying to do exactly that. >< A failed DoS attack.

I'm not sure what my relation is to GMT. But I live east coast US.

It was the week before Phoenix Jubilee that year, I think. Not sure why people signed in the week before, rather than for the event itself, though.

I'd be happy if it was for a genuine reason! Though, when I look at the activity stats, numbers are higher than that for the next week, but as you say, Celes Paradi.

Though the activity stats show the total for people who'd been on over one 24 hour period. That 948 figure is going to be for people on all at the same time.

If you're interested, this is the most people who've ever been on in one day.

We're not on the same server as we were at that point, PiM, so who knows?
