Freddy nodded, "it's celeste." He replied

Pietro didn't like where this was going. He didn't want anyone from the x-geek squad to come over here, especially not her but he had that nasty feeling that June was going to pull the "I can beat you up so shut up my sister's coming over" card. Just because he had to come to terms with the fact his father liked the weird sisters better, didn't mean he had to like any of them.

June gave Pietro a look, a sort of smirk but didn't comment any further on the subject. "Alright, just... go wash those dishes for now." She said heading out into the hallway.

As soon as her back was turned, Pietro made several rude gestures in her direction before he and Freddy went to deal with the dishes.

When the boys were all done, they were told to gather in the dinning room.

A few seconds later, June teleported on the other side of the table. Her hand on holding onto a strand of bright pink hair who belonged to someone who was singing to herself and had their back to the group.

"You're just a hideaway, you're just a feeling
You let my heart escape, beyond the meaning- Huh what the-" She paused, having realized there wasn't a wall there before and slowly turned.

The boys got a full view of her outfit, a style of dress no familiar but still rather pretty, before she let out a small yell and ducked behind one of the tall dinning room chairs.


"Pietro, you're excused." The girl turned her head upon hearing June's voice.

"JUNE!" She yelled, charging at her but, June was quicker and before anyone knew what was going on, June was hugging the girl tightly.

"Calm...Calm... Simmer down, Little Rosebud. You and Freddy have a project to do."

"Gah! June, let gooooooo..." Celeste was blushing like crazy as June held her from behind. She'd never been out in public in her lolita dresses before or in her pink hair and here she was. After a min she calmed down. "I hate you." She mummbled.

"No you don't." June said letting her go.

Pietro found himself glaring, though not exactly surprised. He didn't even wait for June to speak before he was gone, the front door slamming behind him.

Toad blinked, "... uhh... hi?" he greeted, not knowing what else to say.

Lance sighed, "Wonderful. So about that Math homework" he mumbled as he turned to leave.

Freddy waved at Celeste in a slightly bashful greeting.

Celeste shyly waved at the boys and cleared her throat, "Sooo... Cooking Friends activate?" She said slowly holding her fist out for Freddy to pound. Still a little flustered at being teleported away from the house.

A giddy smile grew onto Freddy's face as he returned the fist-bump, "Common! June got all the ingredients we need" he eagerly showed her to the kitchen.

Celeste followed behind but turned and stuck her tongue out at June who returned it.

June sat down at the table, "Alright, so Math and Bio..." She said. She was a year or so ahead of them in school so any questions they had she'd be able to help.

Lance sighed and pulled out his math book, "it's just a bunch of lame word problems"

Toad shifted uncomfortably, budging his biology book onto the table as though it were slightly venomous, "I don't wanna..."

June turned her attention to Toad, "Just because you don't want to doesn't mean you can get away with not doing it. What do you need to do?"

Toad flipped open the textbook to a diagram of a frog, opened up to show all the organs, "I gotta learn and label all the parts" he explained in a very quiet voice, there was a blank sheet of the same diagram on a handout. It had clearly been crumpled up and then smoothed out again, "cuz we're dissecting frogs tomorrow"

June looked at the paper and then slowly sat down beside him and put a hand on his. "...Let's fill these out and I'll write you a note, if you like, for tomorrow." She said in a very gentle voice, something they'd never hear her use before. June understood his struggle with this... It would be like cutting yourself open. Todd was basically part boy part toad, it was understandable how this could upset him.

Toad bit his lip and looked up at June with those giant, saucer eyes. "r-really?" he wasn't sure if he should believe her or not.

June blinked, "Ummm yeah. Like I'm going to let someone in my care go through a traumatizing experience like that. Now finish your homework.... Who's the teacher?" She asked going to get some paper and a pen.

"Mr. Gunmar" Toad replied, still somewhat mystified that she was actually letting him skip.

"Alright, tomorrow I'll pick you up from school and we'll have a little one-on-one training." She said with a smile, setting the note in front of him and patting him on the shoulder.

Toad looked at the piece of paper and smiled, waving it in front of Lance's face, "I don't gotta dissect a frog tomorrow!" he declared excitedly.

"Yeah, I heard, I'm right here man" Lance waved him off, "maybe you can help me with this stupid math then?"

They went at the homework for awhile though as it started getting dark, Pietro still hadn't returned home. He was, in fact, at the park on the merry go round, slowly spinning with his one foot hanging off the side to push.

Celeste had refused to get teleported back to the mansion by June. She was still mad at her and chose to walk home. Thought she was happy to get the project done, it was after all due tomorrow and Freddy swore he wouldn't eat it since they made extras for the boys bedtime snack.

Celeste heard the creaking of the old merry go round in the park on her way home and paused on the path. It was Pietro. Slowly, she walked over and stood on the wooden divider that divided the pebbles from the grass.

"Pietro? I'm heading home so you can go home now without me being there..." She said softly, looking done at her black buckled shoes.

The creaking came to a stop and Pietro looked up towards her, over the last few hours his anger had burned him out. He was hungry and tired and home was the last place he wanted to go. "... turn around" he spoke finally.

"...Excuse me?" She asked a little confused.

"Tun around" Pietro repeated slowly, as though talking to someone very slow in the head, "all the way."

"Um... ok..." She said and did so, her hands held to her chest as she was rather unsure where this was going.

By the time she had turned all the way around, Pietro was suddenly standing directly in front of her. He adjusted the bow on the front of her dress and brushed a touch of flour from the sleeve, "Never come back" he told her, his voice wasn't angry but there was a heavy, dark tone to it and his icy blue eyes matched as they seemed to pierce her soul, "Tell no one. Make any excuse you like but you will never set foot in that place again. Understood?"

Her face went bright red when he suddenly appeared so close to her and it wasn't hard for Pietro to notice the sadness that lingered in her eyes just before she looked down after he spoke.


"...If that is what you want." It was in that moment that it had become crystal clear, she did have a crush on him and him telling her to stay away made her want to cry. She took a step back and crossed her arms, trying to play it off, "Phff. Like I came willingly in the first place. Good night." Her nails dug into her arms as she turned to leave.

Oh my god, you like him. Don't you bloody cry. Don't you do it. It's just a silly crush on the bad boy... yeah, just don't look back. Don't. Don't you DARE CRY!

Pietro watched her for just a moment before vanishing down the road, out of sight.

Before Celeste got too far however, she could hear the quiet crying of a child within the dark recesses of the park.
