"Everyone get down" Scott ordered with June back. He gave them a second to duck before ripping off his visor and letting the deadly beam do the rest. He turned in a circle, taking out everyone and everything in a large radius. People and trees alike were vaporized in seconds.
And then it kept going. Scott stumbled away from them with a yelp as he struggled to close his eyes. He covered them with his hands to try and make it stop but that only hurt like hell and made his hands start smoking.

The girls all got low to the ground as Scott let them have it.

"SCOTT!" Victoria got up and went to him, her whole body seemed to turn into a living flame. She tackled him to the ground, ripped his burning hands away from his face as he shot his beam straight up into the air. Although she looked so warm, she didn't burn him. It was warm. "VISOR!" She ordered, placing her own hands over his eyes, her body grew brighter and brighter. "Scott, calm down. I've got you."

Polly grabbed the dis-guarded visor and held it out to Victoria.

Victoria grabbed them and slammed them back over Scott's face before rolling off of him. Her body was steaming and so bright.

Panting from the expelled energy, Scott reached up to hold his visor on and adjust it properly, "Victoria?" he breathed, "Victoria?" he sat up to see if she was alright.

She was breathing heavily, steam rolling off of her and out of her mouth as she breathed.

"June..." Victoria managed to say and within about 20 seconds June reappeared with four 5 gallon water jugs.

"Help me!" June yelled cutting the lids off of them and pouring them on her.

The water hissed as it hit her skin and she yet out a small yell of pain. Polly rushed over and started to pour as well.

June took the jug and cut it in half, about a litre left in the bottom of it. Brutus morphed back and quickly pushed it over the Scott for his hands.

Scott dunked his hands in the water briefly to cool them off before picking up the half-jug and pouring it over Victoria. When she had finally cooled enough he knelt by her, "hey. You alright?"

Victoria slowly sat up rolling her shoulder joints back and forth, all of her joints had stiffened from the water but it needed to be done. "Yeah... Just... Just be more careful ok?" She said, she really didn't want to go into the subject of how she wasn't able to contain the intense heat.

"I'll keep that in mind" Scott replied, offering his hand to her so she could get back to her feet.

"Thanks." She took it and stumbled forward into him. "Sorry, joints are kinda stiff-" She said, looking up at him, one leg kicked back and actually blushing. She blinked when some water was splashed in her face. "Polly!" She yelled.

"What? I thought you were still heated."
"Ooooh looks like someone's having problems keeping the flames down." June teased, laughing lightly, Polly joining in.

There was a touch of red in Scott's cheeks as he cleared his throat, "We uh, we need to get moving."

"Yes. We need to regroup." Victoria agreed, walking over and sleathing her sword.
"What about Celeste and Logan?" Polly asked, worried. If there had been this many ninjas to greet them then what had become of those two.

"We'd better hope that your friend Horatio got to them first" Scott frowned, "Where the hell did he disappear to?"

"The timeline isn't as it should be. He's probably gone to figure out why..." June said, "I can scout ahead further... see if I can find them." June offered.

Meanwhile...

Logan and Celeste were on their way out of the village and along the road stood Horatio, just waiting there.

Celeste stopped in front of him, "How did you know where we were, Horatio-sama?" She asked

Horatio turned towards them. "Celeste. Logan. Take my hand." He ordered, his voice held no rom for arguing.

Logan stepped forward, he actually seemed familiar with Horatio, "what's goin' on son?" He questioned.

"I told you not to call me that. It's awkward" Horatio frowned.

That was when a ninja star came flying out of nowhere.

Celeste's jaw dropped, Logan was a daddy?!- She didn't have time to ask as the ninja star just missed her arm. She grabbed Horatio's hand.

"AH. NINJAS!"

The moment they both grabbed hold the world froze and it was a good thing to because three ninja stars were inches from Horatio's head. He startled when he saw them, "yeesh. That's a bit close."

"Man, am I glad to have a time traveler on our side." Celeste commented, looking at some ninja stars that would have hurt a lot if they'd been allowed to continue forth.

"Even I can only do so much" Horatio told her, "we should start walking. We're further from the others than I thought. Though its going to take me awhile before I have the strength to bring us out of this together."

"Ok." Celeste said as they started walking. "So... Logan's your father?"

"Yes" Logan stated while simultaneously Horatio said, "sort of". Followed by an awkward silence.

Celeste smiled, she supposed it must be complicated as most things in Logan's past were. "So, Horatio-sama.. where are we going anyways?"

"I'm taking you back to the xjet so scott and Victoria can take you home" horatio replied simply.

Celeste felt a pit beginning to grow. Scott was here too? Oh she was in so much trouble. She looked downward as they walked gripping her handle strap tightly.

((Was the X-jet in range of Scott's eyes?))

((LOL! Naw, they'd been walking))

"You been good?" Logan questioned his son.

"As well as can be expected" Horatio replied simply. The awkward tension between them was practically coming off in stink lines.

"... Horatio" Logan spoke after another long pause, "We were at the Ambrose family estate-"

"Oh I'm aware," Horatio replied curtly, "that's what started all this mess."

"Don't be curt with me boy" Logan growled, though Horatio just rolled his eyes in response, "What do you know about what happened there?"

"For her or for you?" Horatio questioned.

"Both"

"I know plenty, but now is not the time." Horatio stated firmly.

"we're gonna be walking for awhile" Logan stated, "why not?"

"Because I said so" Horatio snapped at him, "We've talked about this before. Your memories come and go and I can't just feed you the answers all the time. Figure it out yourself, Logan."
