"Everything okay?" Luke asked as he walked over, though was careful to give her space still.

"Oh... Luke. Hi." She'd been close to tears. "No, the school dance is this Friday and Julia and I were gonna go together since neither of us had a date and try and win the couples Mask making contest but she bailed on me... She got a date and apparent was convinced we won't win due to my lack of art skills... some friend...

Now I have a half made piece of crap." She dropped it beside her on the step, "Give me a equation, a puzzle or riddle and I can solve it... Give me an art project and you might as well just feed me to some lions." She sighed.

Luke picked up the mask, looking it over. It really was terrible but he couldn't say that, "Hmm... How about you and I go?" he offered, "I can make the masks, all you have to do is wear something green"

Ciara nearly jumped on him, "REALLY? That would be-...Be.." She turned bright, noting how close she was to his face and quickly retreated. "That sounds like fun.">///>

He smiled, "excellent. Shall I pick you up or would you like to meet at the dance?"

"Umm... You could pick me up if you wanted to but I'd have to meet you at the gate..." She rubbed the back of her head, "Maybe I could meet you here?"

"Alright. We can meet here" he nodded, "I'll give you your mask tomorrow"

She nodded, "I'll take this one home to touch." She picked up the mask and put it into her backpack.

"I'll see you tomorrow" Luke smiled before turning to leave.

"Bye." She said as he left.

She sat there for a few mins before a pair of hands covered her eyes.
"Celeste-channnnnn. I can't seeee" She moaned before smiling.
"I heard what happened with Juila, you ok? She's rude." Celeste stated walking around with her hands on her hips.

"She had a point though. My mask looked like crap."
"It was a good first attempt." Celeste said pulling Ciara to her feet and taking her hand as they walked home.

"Uh huh... Have you and Romeo finished yours?"
"Shhhhh...He doesn't know that you know."
"Uh huh. I'm gonna break his knee caps if he hurts you."
"CIARA-CHANNNN!"
"Kneeee capppps." She smiled running ahead of Celeste.

Scott in the meanwhile had been trying to figure out how to ask Victoria to the dance. It was becoming rather last minute and he wasn't sure how to go about it. He was gearing up for a training session, completely distracted by the notion.

Victoria on the other hand was very annoyed. It seemed like everyone BUT the person she wanted to had asked her out. She was tempted to just throw tradition to the wind and ask him but she wanted to at least feel like a girl for once in her life.

Scott ended up mumbling to himself on the way to the danger room, "Would you like to... Would you care... So there's a dance, and we should-that is if you want to... Want to go to the dance with me?" as he tried out the last sentence, he was rounding a corner and was suddenly face to face with Victoria, ".... uuhh..."

Victoria stood there for a moment before turning, "Took you long enough.... You will pick me up at 5:30 for our reservation at Joso's. That sound alright?" She asked turning her head to look at him.

Scott stared at her, "... yyyeesss...." he replied carefully. Had that just happened? Was the reservation already made or did he have to make it? Most importantly, did she just accept him asking her out?

Victoria walked up to him, "Don't worry. It's already booked under your name." She gave him a kiss on the cheek, "You're so cute when you're confounded..." She smiled before heading off to the danger room, humming to herself.

"... how... does she do that?" He wondered aloud to himself as she walked away. She was amazing.

"Too slow, Ice Cube!" Ciara yelled, running past Scott, Bobby a few feet behind her.

"Common! You cheated!" Bobby complained as he chased after her.

Scott instantly went back to leader-mode, "Hey, I want both of you down there and suited up by the time I get there or everyone will have to do Training exersize S10!"

"Yes, Commander Laser Eye!" Ciara turned with a smile, and saluted him before pushing the button to the elevator and waving as Bobby tried to jump up and failed.

Sounds of exasperation came from bobby and Scott headed down the hall. He'd completely forgotten to change from his glasses to his visor.

Thought it seemed Victoria had already thought of that as she swung them around on her finger. "Like I said... adorable." She said handing them to him.

The others were goofing off. Kurt seemed to be trying to show off a circus trick. He was holding hands with Ciara who he was holding above his head.

"I AM sucking my stomach in." She said, her arms shaking. "Put me down. X.x"

Scott took them gratefully, "I'd lose my head without you some days" he commented with a smile as they headed down.

Kurt sighed, "da, alright. Lean back slowly" he instructed as he guided her back down to the ground.

"How about we see some of that creativity in-" Scott pressed the button to the danger room, "Exersize 104B, adaptable sentinels" There was a collective groan as the danger room manifested the war zone.

"Let's hope it never comes to that." She smiled back.

Ciara pouted, she'd trained with Logan but now she was expected to use her powers, instead of just.... dodging. Besides you had to KNOW how to do the moves before you could be creative with them.

Maybe this time we won't mistakenly cover Bobby in a steam of water...

She unscrewed her large water bottle and got into position.

And on Scott's mark, off they went. To basically get thrashed by the Danger room session.
