Ciara paused and stared at him for a moment, "Oh, wow. Luke, you're rather dapper tonight." she took the mask, "Thank you. This is incredible. It must have taken you hours to make this." She smiled sweetly.

"You're worth every moment of it" he replied with a charming smile, then stopped and face palmed a little, "sorry, no romantic stuff. umm... shall we?" he stepped aside for her to head towards the gym with him.

She didn't seem as thrown off by the comment, she was still running her fingers along the mask when he spoke, she simply blushed at the comment.

"Hm? Oh yes, of course."

He smiled again and they headed inside to the dance.

Victoria was at the table just outside the gym, talking to a teacher about entrance fees and whatnot. she wore a and had disappeared inside the gym before they got to the table.

They gave their tickets and headed inside.

Luke was happy to pretty much do whatever Ciara wanted. If she wanted to dance, he would dance with her spectacularly, if she wanted to talk he would listen and engage her with his own few words. It seemed like he was good at everything.

She didn't know why but it seemed like the masks really helped her anxiety. She found herself having a wonderful time, laughing, giggling, every compliment seemed to make her cheeks grow rosey but she didn't have the urge to flee like a crazy person.

Ciara pointed out various people every now and then to him.

"That's Polly and Kurt. Wow... I don't think I've ever seen her in a dress before."

"Chu..." Celeste mumbled softly, dancing with a fellow no one seemed to know.

Kurt had somehow convinced Polly to dance with him, but he didn't seem very happy with the result, "You know I'm supposed to lead, da?"

Luke chuckled a little before taking Ciara's hand and nudging her towards the exit, "common, let's get some fresh air"

Polly kept looking in Luke's direction every now and then. She looked back at Kurt, "Oh sorry... I'm not...this isn't my thing. x.X"


Ciara took another sip of her punch and nodded, "It is getting a bit warm..."

Luke lead her outside and gave a sigh as the fresh air helped cool them down. Something about that night seemed so perfect with the way the stars glittered and the wind tussled their hair and the sweet sound of music trailing through the air.

Ciara took her mask off for a moment and wiped her face. "Who would have thought the cool air would feel so refreshing..." She said softly, moving to put her mask back on.

Before she could, Luke moved in and kissed her.

"Mm! mmm..m" Her eyes widened as the anxiety began to swell up but it seemed to quickly fade as she found herself swooning into him. So... this was what kissing felt like. It was kinda nice.

He couldn't believe how long it had taken to get to this step, but finally Luke allowed his hands to stray across her chest as naturally as possible while making out with her-except something was definitely wrong... After a moment he stopped and pulled away, looking at her, "hm..."

Ciara noticed his hand starting to wander and then he pulled away. "...Wha...what's wrong?" She asked, cheeks flushed.

He looked at her wrists, no watch or device. Then he reached up and took a few strands of her hair, rubbing them between his fingers, this wasn't dyed, was it? "Hm." he spoke again, then sighed, "Ah, just... not what I was expecting. I'll see you around" he turned away from her and headed back into the party.

Ciara felt a sinking feeling, not what he was expecting? He'd touched her chest....

"Were you expecting a gem perhaps?!" She called out, ready to attack if need be.

He paused and looked back at her, "huh?" he blinked cluelessly, "a what?" he cocked his head to the side, "Everyone says that when you kiss the right person, it's like fireworks or chemistry, right? Well that didn't really happen, so I guess I just like you as a friend." he shrugged, "we can still hang out," he offered her his hand and smiled, "wanna grab some cake?"

Ciara blinked, "Umm... sure. I guess..." She said, not taking his hand and heading back inside.

What a waste of time, Luke sighed to himself as he went back in with her, though he was a little less engaged now he couldn't very well have Ciara suspecting him before he had even located the last two sisters. Still, it meant the rest of the night of spending time with her 'as a friend'.

Which wasn't as long as he'd thought. Ciara was also less engaged.

After about 20 mins, a girl with dyed reddish black hair walked over with her companion.

"Ciara, want to come to the bathroom with me?" She asked. Celeste had spotted Ciara doing their secret hand gesture and knew something was up.

Ciara nodded, "Excuse me." Ciara slipped her hand into Celeste's and the two of them left the guys alone on the sidelines.

Luke watched them go for a moment before turning away to view the rest of the room. Victoria was with someone who... wore sunglasses at night? Really? Polly was with that overly energetic fellow-who was wearing a watch he noticed. "Hmm...." He looked to see if anyone else was wearing something similar.

There was no one else who seemed to fit the description.

It was about 10 mins later before the girls came back from powdering their noses. Luke was greeted with a rather strong right hook. Apparently, this red head had some fire in her. It had become clear to her that Luke didn't want to make a scene out of his decision to ditch her so she was going to do just that.

"You don't sweep a girl off of her feet and kiss her and then decide it try and ditch her seconds later, you scum bag. You can take your friendship and SHOVE IT!" She yelled. Upon her last words the water sprinklers above them burst open, covering them in water.

Ciara turned on her heel and linked arms with the girl she'd gone to the bathroom with; the girl had a rather fancy looking watch on... it looked very similar to the one Polly worn.

"Sorry." Celeste mouthed to her fellow.

Luke found himself sitting on the floor, blinking. Not that the punch had really hurt his Azgardian face but it had rather caught him by surprise. What drew his attention further was the other girl... How perfect, he had completely insulted the goddess' best friend. Women.
He hopped to back to his feet and brushed himself off without much care before heading through the slightly panicked crowd as people tried to escape the inside rain. Through the commotion he grabbed Polly by the arm and lead her aside where no one could see. His blond hair turned black as he became the boy she had met before, "No more guessing games, though it was fun to try" he whispered to her, "Show me exactly who your sisters are" a trail of green magic flowed into her gem again, reaffirming his hold.

"Ah!" It felt like hands crawling all over her skin. So wrong...Polly bit her lip, "Celeste." She point to the girl who was leaving with Ciara. "Victoria." She pointed to the student body president who was ushering the crowd out of the gym.
