Does this really belong in a music thread? I just don't know.

@Dropo ~ Oh, super poignant. Yeah, there are lots of soldiers out there with PTSD and other issues who seemingly just get swept under the rug.

...

@Biggs ~ It's like Mick Jagger and David Bowie had a play date. *goes to look up more*

edit: Okay, those are fun. ;D

that makes me think of a creepier sounding version done by marilyn manson

the whole album, nightmare revisited, is pretty good and some interesting remakes of the songs from that movie

Ramalama Bang Bang is one of my very favorites too. xD

A smorgasbord?

Obviously Halloween

Kinda blue-grassy. Not really "Halloween" but I enjoy it and I thought I'd share since the title, at least, was on-theme. ;D

Ruby Blue is lovely! I also love this:

The first song I heard of Roisin was Ramalama from SYTYCD. Downhill from there

Also... Eartha Kitt! I love her

I've always loved Eartha Kitt. :3 Stems from my Batman/DC universe fangirlness. I think I might have heard some of her music before I ever watched the show, though.

OK, heres my 'scary' song for halloween. I dont know why people think its scary, I actually like it and prefer this WAY more than the original!

And one by a band I heard of not overly long ago called Helloween, which I think is rather appropriate for the time of year!

A band one of my college buddies introduced me to. Most songs off Dance Macbre are halloweeny, but this song in particular makes my stomach twist, probably because I listened to it on repeat when I was at a low point in life.

I like the gentle vocals and the metal sounds of this Nightwish song, even though I'm not much of a nightwish fan.

Long, I hate songs like that which remind you of bad times and low points. At the same time too though, they can be a good bit of unexpected perspective reflection time. Looking back at where you were, and where you are now, the things that have changed for the better and worse, and the things that you want to change etc.

@Long ~ The only album I have by The Faint is the one they did after, Wet from Birth. So they just make think of birth, and semen and erections and other bodily things.

@Dropo ~ I have a cousin who really likes Nightwish. I kept thinking of Buffy the Vampire Slayer watching that. It was like Buffy and Giles running hither and yon and explosions! Kaboom!

...

The Creepshow ~ Zombies Ate Her Brains

I like this one, and it's been stuck in my head. Siouxsie & The Banshees - Scarecrow

Here you go. I think this one has lyrics listed under it, but I'll quote a snippet anyway.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blGPn...?v=blGPnobxTiM

Quote:
My so-called friends say you're not alive
I'll bake their bones for telling lies
Then pull the pastry from the pie
And
Pour the gravy in their eye
Happy song. I like happy songs.

@Dropo ~ That was weird. But I don't even know what One Direction really sounds likes, so i'm just gonna go ahead and assume it's like that. No one will convince me otherwise. :B

@Ermahgerd ~ Good choice. ;D Now s'more!

I heart Siouxsie.

But, check this classic out guys!

When I was a kid I had the poster with MJ surrounded by zombies and things on my wall because I was really into monsters.

(Skip to 8.30 for Zombie Jackson - I think that would be a fun thing to show visiting aliens.)

Creepily, as I read your post, Belleh, my parents are in the other room watching a show to do with, "What sort of culture exchange would we have if aliens visited Earth?"
