Draco is glad when the food arrives. The cake is as lovely as always, so large it almost topples off the plate. Magic is the only thing keeping it up, and he loves it. He'll need to cast a great deal of spells to keep the cake from turning into fat, but that is certainly no challenge.

Taking one fork, he digs into one of the frosted flower, with a large chunk of cake. Closing his eyes, he hums happily, just focusing on how delicious it is. Buttercream flavored with the best chocolate ganache. How he loves it.

Looking at Harry, he smiles, "Talking to family always helps. Letting the person know how you feel opens up all sorts of doors, Harry."

Harry smiles listening to Draco hum. "Let's just say my family isn't so open. I mean grew up living in cupboard under the stairs for the first eleven years of my life. Didn't know anything about magic." He takes a bit of the cake. It's so good, he has never had another cake like this in his life. He takes another bite. Why did his life have to be so damn complicated.

Draco stares at Harry, and it is only through good manners drummed into him as a child that he doesn't drop his fork from shock. Instead, he places it down, saying, "You were what?" He stares at the man, "You were forced to live in a cupboard? By muggles?!?" His hand twitches towards his wand, but he manages to stop it, "How dare they?"

"My aunt, my mums sister, didn't approve of magic." He said, though he was touched that Draco would get this upset over what had happened to him in the past. "But it's the past, and it can't be changed. It helped me become the person I am today."

That doesn't calm his anger. "She knew you had magic, and she abused you? Your gift, and she put you where you wouldn't even put a house elf?" House elves have their own rooms to be in. Normally near the kitchens.

"Draco please calm down." He looks around there are people staring at them. He didn't know what else to do so he leaned across the table and kissed Draco. Hopefully the shock of the kiss would calm him down. He didn't even care if it made it into the Profit or not. He just wanted Draco to calm down.

The kiss catches him off guard, and he blinks as Harry keeps kissing him. Pulling away, he gives the man a shocked look.

After a few seconds, he manages to say in a surprisingly calm voice, "What in Merlin's name was that about, Potter?"

"It calmed you down didn't it?" He asked sitting back. He had enjoyed that. Thought that wasn't how he pictured his first gay kiss being. But it worked. Merlin the mans lips were so soft. He really wanted to kiss him again, but he doesn't. He doesn't want to push the man away.

Rubbing his eyes, Draco says, "I can assure you, there are far saner ways of calming me down than kissing me in a crowded restaurant. It is going to be all over the Prophet that we're going to be married." He stares at Harry, scowling a bit, "If this is your way of humiliating me, I don't appreciate it."

"No, of course not." He hadn't meant to humiliate Draco. That was the last thing on his mind. All he had really been thinking about was Draco's lips. He felt lost, had he ruined what could have been a good friendship. Though if he were truthful with himself he wouldn't mind marrying Draco. Hell he'd even be willing to change his last name to Malfoy.

Draco stares at Harry for a long moment, and then nods, accepting that as the truth. "Just... do not do it again. If you wish for me to calm, ask for me to. Don't brush it off, and then kiss me. I may not be yelling, but I am still incredibly frustrated."

He pokes at the cake, not even wanting to eat it now. "The idea that anyone would do that to a child is... it is not something any parent who has magic would do. Encouraging magic is the entire point of raising your child." He closes his eyes, "When I have a child, I will do my best to foster his or her magic to the best of my ability." He looks harry in the eyes, "My family does not drop children from windows to prove the child has magic, nor do we put them in... in a tiny room if they do not have magic."

Harry pokes at the cake as well. He had thoroughly lost his appetite. "My aunt and uncle truly hoped that I wouldn't have powers." He whispers. He is still afraid that this will be the only time he has with Draco. "Will you excuse me for a moment?" He stands and quickly makes his way to the bathroom. He has to pull it together. He walks into the bathroom and into a stall and he looks the door letting out a shuddering breath. He knows he was damn lucky that Draco hadn't told him to bugger off. He takes several deep calming breaths.

Sighing, Draco taps his wand on the plate of food. The plate is effortlessly transferred for a carry box, filled with the cake. Since neither he nor Potter are hungry, he will pack it up.

Placing his card on top of the menu, he watches it disappear and reappear. His payment for the meal having gone through. No need to carry gold around like the lower class. Malfoys are better than that.

He wonders if he should wait for Potter, or just leave.

Soon Harry has gotten himself under control. He comes out of the stall and washes his face. Deep down he's sure Draco has left. And it's not like he'd blame him. He heads out of the restroom and towards the door. He had made a mess of things, that he knows.

Deciding to shrink the cake, he places the box in his pocket, and walks to the door. Not sparking a glance to the various people running it, he steps out, only to run face first into Potter, sending them both tumbling for a second time.

Staring at the man as he sits on Potter's legs, he says, devoid of emotion, "Is this going to become a habit?"

"Sorry." He says blushing deeply. Though he isn't entirely sure why he's blushing. Maybe it has something to do with Draco sitting on his lap. "I thought you might have left already and... I guess you haven't." He stammers a bit.

Standing up, Draco helps Harry up. "You said to excuse you for a moment, and then ran off. When you didn't show back up, I had assumed you just left the building."

"Yeah, sorry about that." He says. He is much calmer then he had been before he ran off. He shoves his hands in his pockets not sure what else to do with them. "Thank you for dinner, sorry for kind of ruining it."

Waving a hand, Draco dismisses it. "Just take care of what the Prophet says, and it will be fine."

"I'll do my best." He says with a smile. "Again, thank you for dinner. If I hadn't bumped into you I would have been eating at the Leaky Cauldron." He says with a chuckle.

Ugh, pub food. Not really Draco's favorite. He's glad that he saved Harry from such a fate. Really, the Leaky is incredibly ... common. Everyone eats there.

He takes Harry's hand, shaking it. "Not a problem. Just floo me if you need to talk to me. My address is 'Malfoy Manor' if you have to get in contact. If I'm not there, then just tell my mother, since she will answer." If not, a house elf will tell Potter to floo later.

"Thanks, and if you need to get a hold of me... well I'm staying at the Leaky Cauldron." He said shaking Draco's hand. Harry had enjoyed himself. And he was pleasantly surprised at that fact. Who knew that he and Draco would share a dinner together, willingly.

He blinks, wondering why Potter would be doing that. "Don't you have an ancestral home, Harry?"

At the very least, the man would have the plot of land that Potter Manor used to be on. He knows that the Manor was burned down in the first wizarding war, and that Godric's Hallow is now a monument to the first fall of the Dark Lord, but that doesn't mean that Harry should be staying in the leaky Cauldron.

"No, where I lived with my parents is a pile of rubble and a historic landmark. Ginny and I had a place in Godric's Hollow but when we broke up I let her stay. I just haven't gotten around to finding a new place yet. I'll get to it eventually. Besides I'm not to far from my volunteer job so it's all good."

Draco blinks, "Why don't you build a house?" He ushers the man from the door, and into a less public area, finally realizing they're attracting attention. "You have the land where Potter Manor stood, don't you? If you wish, I would happily help you with building it." He pauses, "And if you don't feel comfortable living without people around you, you could..." He shrugs, "Make it into an animal sanctuary. There is that Potter Sanctuary for Snitches."

He feels like Potter has left his ancestry by the wayside, and the idea of it makes him sad. "Have you ever been there?"
