"No I haven't. It sounds interesting." He says with a smile. "I have thought about it... but I don't know. It just..." He sighs. "It's complicated. So much in my life has happened in Godric's Hollow. But I might build a house there. I have all that land."

Clasping Harry's hand in his own, Draco smiles, "Sometimes, it is good to get away from the familiar. It gives you a distance you need to pick yourself up when you thought you were face first on the ground." He tilts his head, hair moving in front of his eyes briefly, "You may find you like it there. If I remember right, the Potter Manor is fairly close to the Malfoy Manor. Not in walking distance, certainly, but close enough a floo travel is just a step away."

Draco has done the longer distance floo travel, and he always hates it. He always makes sure to do an anti-dizziness spell, but if the trip is long enough, not even an anti-nausea potion will save you.

"Yeah. I just wouldn't know where to start in building a house." He said with a smile. "I couldn't use magic, as there are to many muggles around. I'll figure something out. And right now the Cauldron is close to my job." He was very touched by Draco's concern for him.

Draco nods, "If you want, I can help you hire contractors. But you're a strong wizard, you could make it on your ownn. You're wonderful at transfiguration, and you can lock the shape, if you carve or write the right runes in it. Your friend, Gra- ... Hermione," he can not be rude to Potter's best friend, "could help you with it." He shrugs, "It would also work if you make it into a sanctuary."

"But Godric's Hollow is full of muggles so magic is harder to accomplish." He says. He does debate about turning the rest of the land into some sanctuary, but the question is what kind would he turn it into. He really can't see himself living that close to the ruins of his family home. "Besides Ginny and I had gotten a house in Godric's Hollow, and she's still living there. I want to give her her space."

Giving the man a bit of a hard look, Draco asks, "You do realize I'm talking about your ancestral home, don't you? Not the one in Godric's Hallow."

"No I didn't." He says feeling like a total prat. "Didn't even realize I had one." He said he has turned red in the face. "Just forget ok.?" He shoves his hands in his pocket and heads back towards the cauldron. He was eleven before he had found out he was a wizard, how the hell was he supposed to know about his ancestral home.

Grabbing Harry's shoulder, he turns him around. Smiling gently, Draco shakes his head, "If you didn't know, you didn't know, Harry." Dumbledore must have hidden so much from Potter. Or maybe potter never...

Now, there's an idea. "Have you gone to the Ministry to check what your properties are? Or the goblins, to see if your family had stored the titles to the properties? If you wanted, I could help you organize them with you. See what all you have.)

(I don't know why, but Draco is CRAZY EXCITED by this. Even though I can tell your Harry is more put out by this than anything. Draco isn't trying to be mean, he's just all, 'HEY, MAYBE HARRY WILL BE MY NEIGHBOR. NEAT')

"No, and I... I mean I guess I could." He says. He can't believe how excited Draco is over this. This was just all to much for him at the moment. This has been one weird evening.

"Would you like to now, or is it too late in the day?" Draco would love to help, but if Harry says no, he can head home. He isn't sure how his mother is doing.

"I guess now's fine." He says. Everything is so overwhelming right now. All he wants to do is go back to his room but he doesn't want to disappoint Draco. Draco seems so excited to help him.

Draco grins at him, "Wonderful. Would you prefer the ministry or Gringotts?"

"Might as well do Gringotts. We're here." He says trying to wrap his head around all this. He starts walking towards the bank. He hopes this won't take to long as he has to work tomorrow.

Draco smiles, "Of course. We can look. If it isn't there, maybe tomorrow, you can look in the Ministry."

"I can if I get a chance." He says with a smile as they walk.

"There's no reason not to check, right?" Draco laughs lightly, "For all you know, if you haven't looked, you have a deed to some crazy place in, I don't know, Japan. Or something."

It's incredibly doubtful, but there's never any reason to not know what you own.

Harry smiles a bit. He is amazed that Draco is this invested. "So why are you this invested in what land I might have." He says as the climb the steps of Gringots.

"Curiosity, and the idea of having a neighbor I don't actively avoid." Also, since he'd like the idea of Harry having his own place to live. He would hate living out of the Leaky Cauldron, personally.

"So you avoid your neighbors?" He asks raising an eyebrow. Though if he was being honest it didn't surprise him. He forces himself not to chuckle at the the mental image he gets of Draco hiding behind bushes to avoid his neighbors.

"You try staying with a bunch of purebloods who were either utter cowards who didn't take a side, or ones that took sides behind the wrong part, but pretend they weren't giving any galleons to the dark lord." They weren't stupid enough to join, but they certainly paid far more for it during that war.

Draco remembers how the Dark Lord behaved, and it made him wish he wasn't such a utter prat when he was eleven. Yes, let's go around acting like you own it all just because your father is on the board of governors. That won't slap you in the face later on.

Ugh.

He wants to go back in time and throttle his past self, then tell him to make friends with Harry Potter by /not// insulting everyone. Harry's mother was a muggleborn, you little idiot.

Harry watches him. "What are you thinking about?" They are standing just inside Gringotts. He wonders how different things would have been if he had been friends with Draco in school.

"How my neighbors are people I hate even looking at." Since that what started that mental tangent. "You being able to move in will not only make it so that I have a worthwhile neighbor, but I also have the idiots around me behaving better." No one will want to mess with the savior of the wizarding world.

Soon they have found out that the Potters had owned several places. Including a Snitch Sanctuary. There is also the main mansion and a summer home on the coast. Harry walks out of Gringotts with Draco. He is in a bit of shock.

Laughing, Draco pats the other man on the back, "Wonderful! This is why we check these things. You want to check if you have any house elves there? To make sure they're okay? Since you have the property, it is likely they're still alive and cleaning, if you have any at all." He bets the poor things will be insanely excited to finally see their master, who's been missing.

Or, if the Potters have no house elves, then that's that. Just really messy properties that likely need to have upkeep spells reinforced.

"Sure, why not." Harry says with a smile. If worse came to worse he would call into work. It's not that he even has to work. He just really likes it. "Maybe we'll check the main mansion to start. Since it is late."
