"Maybe." Harry says as he holds on to the book. Though he isn't to sure on that. He wants to put the book back but knows that Draco would probably just take it back out again.

Draco smiles, "Gorgons are interesting, Harry. How about you check it out?" He kneels down, looking through a different shelf, "Or one of the other parseltongue books? Browse one you think would be interesting. Maybe there's a fairy-tale book in there. Your mother could have read it to you as a baby, if she spoke the language, too."

"Might read up on some history." Harry says with a small smile as he watches Draco look through the books. "I thought I got my ability to speak parsaltongue when Voldemort struck me with the killing curse." At least that was what he had always been led to believe.

Draco smiles back up at the other man, still a tiny bit nervous about it, but not as much. This is /Potter// for Merlin's sake. The man saved him and his family from Voldemort. So what if he can still talk to snakes?

"All the more reason to see if you can read the histories or find things. These are your mother's books. It's part of you."



(Sorry this took so very long. I've just been tired and sick :C I didn't wanna leave you hanging, so I'm here for a bit to respond.)

"How do you know they are my moms?" He asks just holding on to the book. He also wonders why his mother would have had books written in parsaltongue.

He points to the various sections of the library, "This is set up for the family. Every member in living memory gets their own section. See right there?" He points off to the corner, "That's your grandfather's section, and the one next to it is your father's." He points a bit away from the section they're in, the other corner, "Your grandmother's." He points where they are, "And your mother's. It's an old traditional way of doing it. The Malfoy setup just has it all in one area, which is easier for general use, but this setup you have is better if you have a scholar in the family who likes to just keep a place for themselves."

He looks around, and nods, "Technically, all this should be folded into the general library at the back," he points at the largest section, "But it's your house. Your call what stays or goes." He is pretty sure Harry doesn't remember his parents, what they look like aside from photos, or what they sound like. But he's not so heartless as to point that out.

Let Harry decide what he'll do with his home, not some busybody of a kinda-sorta friend type person.

"I'll probably keep it this way... at least for awhile. Get to know what my family members enjoyed reading." He says with a small sad smile. A few tears slide down his cheeks.

Oh jeez, tears. He has no clue how to handle that. how did his mother handle his tears?

Okay, he can do this.

Standing up, Draco conjures a handkerchief, and pats the other man's face dry, "Hey, no tears. You'll be closer to them in a way most can't be. I never met my grandfather on my father's side. Just like either of my grandmothers." He smiles, a little sadly, "Barely remember my grandfather on my Mother's side." He touches harry's shoulder, "now, you get to know what kind of people your family were, and read what they loved." He glances over at James Potter's section of library, "And from what I can tell, your father /loved// transfiguration. Maybe you'll learn how to make buildings from the ground up." Magical transfiguration like that is always amazing. He'd love to see Harry's work on magical buildings, should he ever take that route. The man would be highly sought after, should it happen.

... Sought after because he's talented, not because he's the Chosen One.

"Would never guessed my father to be into transfiguration." He says with a smile as Draco wipes his tears away. He spots a small bookcase over to the side. He walks to it and breaks out into a smile. This had to have been Sirius' spot. The books were on all sorts of sports muggle and magical. He fights back the tears that threaten to fall again. He wonders if Remus had had a section here. He spots another bookcase and smiles seeing all the books about healing and medicine.

Thankful that he managed to calm some of the tears, Draco returns to searching through Lily Potter's books. He manages to find a slim book that looks like a personal research journal. He pulls it out, and sits on the chair, flipping through it. It is... pretty neat, actually.

He glances up at harry, who is looking off at another part of the library, and says, "You have a book you wanna read?

"I was just wondering if Sirius or Remus had a space in the library. From what Sirius says he practically lived here, though I'm not sure about Remus." Harry says softly. He wipes at his eyes doing his best to hold back the tears. He will wait to cry until Draco has left, though what he really wants is for somebody to hold him while he cries, but he know he can't expect that from Draco.

Patting the seat next to him, Draco says, "How about you sit with me as we read?" He's a little distracted by the private journal, but he can share it with Harry. It'll mean they have to sit close, but Harry's proven he doesn't mind if Draco just casually touches him. An arm over the shoulder won't hurt.

"What did you find?" He asks setting the book he was holding on a table as he walks over and sits next to Draco. He likes being this close to Draco. He looks at the book Draco is holding.

Tugging Harry a little closer, Draco points out part of the notes, "This is your mother's research journal. There are some charms in here that she was working on for awhile, and there's some potions I had thought Professor Snape had done." He points to an early page, flipping back to it, "See? She must have worked with him. This is clearly one started at a young age. maybe at eleven or twelve."

"Wow." He says softly. His fingers run gently over his mother's writing. A few tears fall down his cheeks. He quickly wipes them away.

Pretending not to notice the tears, Draco says. "It's really an amazing find. Something that will easily be folded into your family library. Possibly used by your children, and their children. I don't know half these recipes, and she's even marked out the ones that will end in failure." He flips to one with strikes through it, and pointing out how it is clearly marked as too dangerous.

"Her notes are amazing. I hadn't realized getting unicorn tears was even possible."

Harry just listens to Draco speak. He enjoys being this close with him. While in this position he sees a small book case set tot he side. He stands and moves over to it. Right away he can tell that these were Sirius and Remus' book choices. Two of the four shelves have books on Quiditch, and other sports, both muggle and wizard. The other two have books about various medical conditions, also both muggle and wizard. He could guess which books belonged to which man. Fresh tears run down his cheeks.
