"Yeah, no, I get it, really," Hiccup said, still watching them. "I just-- Odin's ghost, we honestly thought Toothless was the last one."

"Toothless?" Ginna asked, raising an eyebrow. Hiccup grinned and whistled quickly. There was a bit of a crash from inside the dragon roost, and Toothless came bounding up the hill towards Hiccup. As soon as Toothless spotted Dísa, he stopped and approached more warily.

Dísa also crouched down, wary of the other Night Fury.

Racer looked at the two before he snorted and shook himself. Really, they'd met other dragons before. Giving Disa a scolding look, he looked at Toothless and inclined his head a little in greeting.

Toothless glanced over at Racer, acknowledging him, and then turned his attention back to Dísa. The two Night Furies watched one another warily, tails swishing and ears alert. They crept closer to one another, investigating, and finally both sat back. Then Dísa pounced on Toothless and the two dragons began to wrestle. It clearly wasn't a serious fight at all.

"...They're like giant, plasma-spitting cats," Ginna said, blinking.

"Definitely." Anneke grinned. "They play like cats too, look at that batting and pouncing." She grinned. "Looks like they might be a similar age too to be playing like that."

"Yeah, they do seem like they're about the same age," Ginna agreed, nodding.

"Well, I mean, Toothless is about our age," Hiccup offered, still watching the dragons play. "I've never seen him play with another dragon like this before. Look at them go!" He paused for a moment, and then looked at the girls. "But, uh... What's a cat?"

Anneke blinked and looked at him. "Um..." She trailed off, unsure exactly how to answer that. "Well, cats are mammals. They've got fur, lots of fur. They act kind of like those two. They're playful. But they're small, they're about this big." She demonstrated with her hands.

"Kind of like a Terrible Terror, then," Hiccup mused. Ginna nodded.

"Yeah," she said. "Just like them, except furry and not fire-breathing."

"I see," Hiccup said.

Anneke grinned. "Cats would probably do okay here actually, the ones we've got at least, they're long-haired so they do well in snow. Some of them actually like to go play in snow."

"They would, wouldn't they?" Ginna mused. She was stopped from saying anything else when she heard Dísa yelp. The dragon was holding one leg gingerly, her wings flared slightly and tail lashing. "Dísa, what happened?" Ginna went over to investigate.

Racer grumbled and also went to go investigate, though he was sure to snag his rider in passing. Couldn't have her out wandering around here just yet, after all. He crouched down next to Disa, ignoring Anneke's muffled swearing about being squished, and blinked at the other dragon.

"Is she alright?" Hiccup asked, careful not to get too close. Dragons could get titchy when someone not their rider approached when something was wrong. "It wasn't Toothless, was it?"

"No, I don't think so," Ginna said, carefully examining Dísa's leg. "She's not bitten or scratched or anything. Feels warm, though, it might be a sprain." She shook her head. "It might have happened in the storm."

Anneke managed to shove Racer's wings off her. "Probably," she said. "That would make sense. I mean that was a rough storm, Racer had problems landing even."

"Yeah," Ginna said. "Looks like she's not going anywhere for a few days, at least."

"If you want, you can stay in the village," Hiccup offered. "The rookery has enough space for two more, easy."

"Thanks," Anneke said with a smile. "It's probably a good idea. Racer looks fine so far but I don't want to risk him being hurt, and Disa definitely could use the rest."

"Sure, no problem," Hiccup said. "Come on, let's get them settled in." He gestured towards the rookery, and Toothless bounced towards it, all full of energy and eager to show off his territory. Oddly, he glanced at Dísa the most, as if trying to impress her.
