"Well," Jess said with a sigh as she sat down as well, "at least we'll have a bit of time to adjust. And then a bit of time to just not think about anything." She rubbed her forehead.

Marie nodded and just sat there for a moment. She wasn't sure what to do quite yet, and she didn't want to put her things too far away. It would take some time for her to get comfortable.

Jess got up and started walking around. She couldn't just hold still anymore, she needed to move. She didn't leave the room just yet though.

Marie watched her sister pace.

"What do you think?" she asked after a moment. "About everything."

"I'm not sure what to think yet," Jess admitted. "This is... a lot. A lot to take in." She sighed. "I think I need processing time."

Marie nodded. She felt the same way. She had just kind of hoped that her sister was processing a bit faster. After a few more minutes, she finally reached over and opened one of her bags. She pulled out a well-loved blanket, and carefully spread it on the bed.

Jess balanced easily as the Tardis moved and then sat down when it stopped.

"I guess we're there." She took a deep breath. "Come on, let's get going, this'll be good for us. It'll be fun. We'll be fine."

Marie nodded, still slightly hesitant, and got up. She debated whether or not to bring her wallet and then decided that it wouldn't do her any good now that they weren't on Earth anymore. Best to leave it in a safe spot. Looking around the room one more time, she followed Jess.

"So, he said something about the biggest market in the galaxy?" she asked.

"That's what he said," Jess agreed. "So we can at least look around if not get a few things. Should be loud and distracting, just what we need right now."

"Good," Marie said. She stayed close to her sister even as they got back to the control room.

"Good, there you are!" the Doctor said when he saw them. "Here we are, biggest marketplace in the galaxy. Perfect for whatever you might be looking for, many things you're not, and everything you didn't know you wanted."

Jess snorted at that. "Sounds like fun," she agreed.

"And I've got the money because he's hopeless with money," Jack said, rolling his eyes at the Doctor.

Jess chuckled at that.

Marie couldn't help but grin as well when the Doctor sputtered a bit in protest. Grumbling, he made sure his sonic and his psychic paper were in his jacket before opening the Tardis door out into the market.

Jess stepped outside and grinned slowly. Oh, this was going to be fun. Already she was relaxing at the yells of vendors and the bustle of crowds.

"Here." Jack shoved a little plastic stick at each of them. "That should cover you for today." Or a few days, depending on their spending habits.

Marie blinked and took the stick. She wasn't sure what she would find to buy, but it was nice to have something to spend, anyways.

"Thanks," she said.

The Doctor stretched a bit as they stepped outside. Ah yes, he always liked visiting this planet. The total anonymity was nice sometimes, and the bustle was sort of comforting.

"In case we get separated, meet back here in a few hours," Jack said, glancing around. "So we all know no one got kidnapped or anything." Which he doubted but still. Marie seemed a little discombobulated still.

Jess nodded, though she was already looking around trying to figure out where to go first.

"Alright." Marie nodded. "Say, three hours? Just so we have an exact timeframe?" She was fine with wandering around with her sister for a few hours. It would help her clear her head a bit and get used to their new situation.

"Three hours, and we'll decide from there," Jack agreed with a grin. "See you then." He didn't plan to do too much shopping himself, but he would see about making sure the girls were okay and had a few extra things.

Marie nodded and went off with her sister to explore. The Doctor blinked a bit. He was used to companions tagging along with him, not going off on their own.

Jack snickered at that. Yeah, the Doctor was going to have to adjust a bit to these two. That was going to be fun.

"Come on, let's go find some things to investigate here."

"What, you're not going to try to wander off as well?" the Doctor asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'm sure there are plenty of life-forms here who would respond to your flirting."

"Probably," Jack agreed with a grin. "But that's too much work. Besides, you look like you're going to start brooding and that never ends well, so come on."

"I don't brood," the Doctor protested. "You don't know what you're talking about." He made a bit of a face, but followed Jack anyways.

In three hours, Jess managed to find a few little things to put up in their new room to make it seem more like home, but she was also distracted enough to relax and stop thinking for a while. Which was excellent.

Marie had bought a few things, as well, although nothing very big or expensive. Just trinkets to make her part of the room a little more comforting. She'd also picked up a sonic pen. While not quite as sophisticated as a sonic screwdriver, the pen was still a fun gadget and Marie figured it would be useful to have.

"We're going to be late," Jess said, glancing at her watch. "Hopefully they'll wait a few minutes before starting to look for us."
