"I hope so," Marie said. "I'd rather not be stranded here." Because as weird as it was being on the Tardis, she liked the thought of being stranded on a foreign planet even less.

"They wouldn't strand us here," Jess said. "Probably. Pretty sure." But she did speed up, just in case.

Marie sped up as well, and the Tardis came into view quickly.

"They're still there," she said, relaxing just slightly in relief. The doubt had been small, but it had still been there.

"Good." Jess slowed down a bit as well now that they could see Jack and the Doctor. "That's good."

"Yeah," Marie said. The thought of going back into the Tardis made her chest tighten a little, but she wasn't actively afraid. Just a bit nervous still.

"There you two are," Jack said with a grin when he saw them. "Get a bit turned around?"

"Distracted," Jess said with a shrug.

"Also easy to do here." Jack didn't usher them straight inside, though.

"No kidding," Marie said. "They must have a little bit of everything here, it's amazing."

"Find anything good?" the Doctor asked, looking at them both.

"A few little trinkets," Jess said with a shrug. "Something shiny, shinies are always good. Nothing much other than that."

"They do have some of everything if you know where to look," Jack said with a wink at Marie.

"Shinies are always good," the Doctor agreed.

Marie blushed slightly.

"Well, I don't know what you'd be looking for, but I found a few good things so far," she said.

Jess chuckled. "Next time I'll find something to hang in the control room," she said, grinning briefly. He was oddly easy to get along with.

"Good, that's a good thing," Jack agreed. "I bet we could spend a few more hours if you wanted to look in another section, see a bit more."

"The Doctor snorted a bit.

"I think not," he said. "There are already more than enough things dangling from the ceiling of the control room. The Tardis might not put up with anything more."

"That could be fun," Marie said, nodding. She grinned just a little bit.

Jess snorted. "Yeah, I figured, but I'll keep it in mind anyway."

Jack nodded and looked at the Doctor. "We're going to go wander off again, we'll be back in two hours."

The Doctor shrugged and waved Jack off; he knew Harkness could take care of himself.

"She just needs time to get used to you both," he said. "It's been a long time since any of us but me's been around her."

"I bet." Jess was quiet for a moment. "I won't be happy if she tries to make us leave, though."

"Nah, she won't," the Doctor replied. "Don't worry about that." Because he knew the Tardis, even if the machine didn't have any sort of coherent communication methods. And the Tardis had never outright rejected any companions before.

"Good." Jess stretched a bit. "Well, then, you going to give me a proper tour now? Since the other two are going to be a bit longer."

The Doctor grinned and went to open the Tardis door.

"Sure," he said. "Sounds good to me."

Jess nodded and let him lead the way. She was slowly getting a bit more comfortable inside the Tardis, even if it did still kind of hurt.

The Doctor took her through all the best rooms: the library, the pool, the kitchen. He even pointed out the general direction of the center of the Tardis, as they passed.

"You've got everything in here," Jess said, leaning against a wall looking in at the library again. "Seems very comfortable."

"Best way to see the universe," the Doctor said, grinning. "She can take us anywhere."

"Anytime, anywhere," Jess murmured. "You really are kind of spoiled, although soon the same will be true of me."

"All of time and space at your fingertips, you can't expect a man not to get spoiled by that," the Doctor pointed out shamelessly. He grinned. "You'll get used to the freedom, I promise."

"Eventually." Jess shook her head. "And all the possibilities. I can think of multiple times I'd want to see and that's just considering Earth's history."

"Just keep in mind, we can't change anything," the Doctor warned. "It's just a bad idea all around."
