Liz blinked, surprised. So far they hadn't really gone into the physical territory. But she relaxed after a moment, settling closer to him.

"Nah, not me. I'm stubborn." Steve grinned at her. "Besides, this is as sensible as I get."

Bucky relaxed more once Liz relaxed and he settled in there with her.

"Better?" he murmured.

"Lucky for me," Hillary said. "Though you haven't seen everything, quite yet, so maybe hold that thought until you have." She was still waffling about whether or not to show him her full half-snake form. She was worried that it might scare him off.

"Yeah." Liz closed her eyes. "Mm. Could get used to this."

"I'm not going to run," Steve told her. "I've seen stranger things in the Army, definitely."

"Good," Bucky replied. "So could I."

"You say that now," Hillary said. "We'll see."

"We could do this more often," Liz suggested after a few moments of quiet.

"Yes, we will," Steve said with a smile, because he knew he was right and he wasn't going anywhere.

"I wouldn't mind that," Bucky agreed quietly after a moment. "As long as it's alright with you."

Hillary was still a bit skeptical, but she didn't argue with him. That was when the teapots arrived, and she jumped at the distraction.

"Ah, great, the tea's here," she said. "Did you decide what food you wanted? Because I could really go for some of the egg salad sandwiches."

"Fine with me," Liz agreed, curling up a little closer to him. "I'll let you know if I don't want to be touched at any point."

Steve shrugged. "The food all sounds fine to me," he said. "Get whatever you'd like."

"You do that," Bucky said, moving a bit so they were both more comfortable. They ended up with him stretched out on the couch and her settled on top of him.

Hillary nodded and asked for two orders of egg salad sandwiches and two orders of cucumber sandwiches. Once the waiter left again with their orders, Hillary picked up a cup and one of the teapots.

"Which do you want to try first?" she asked as she poured herself some jasmine tea.

Liz grinned a bit. "This is new," she murmured, relaxing further. "And appreciated."

Steve pondered for a moment. "How about the oolong first," he said. "I'll try the other one next."

"I'm glad you think so," Bucky replied quietly. "Because I do too." He sighed a bit and relaxed more as well, though he was careful to keep his metal arm out of the way so it wasn't bothering Liz at all.

"Go for it," Hillary said, turning the teapot so the handle was facing him.

Liz chuckled quietly. "You comfortable?" she asked, because she'd noticed he was holding his metal arm in an almost awkward position.

Steve poured himself some tea and tried it. "It's... alright," he said cautiously. "Different."

"Enough," Bucky replied. "Why, is it bothering you? I know it's probably cold, and it's not comfortable to lay on..."

"Not what you're used to," Hillary said, nodding. "That's alright."

Liz rolled her eyes and grabbed his metal wrist, pulling his arm up and around so it was resting across the middle of her back.

"Better?"

Steve nodded. "That's it. But it's not unpleasant. Just different."

"Better," Bucky admitted, quirking a bit of a grin.

Hillary nodded.

"The jasmine is lighter," she offered. "A bit more floral."

Liz nodded and settled in again there, content. Normally she would have felt constrained, but this just felt right. Natural. Easy. She couldn't help but smile a bit.

Steve nodded and finished off that cup, pouring himself some of the jasmine. He took a few moments to think about it.

"I'm not sure. It's nice enough, but it's kind of odd too because it's so light."

Bucky found that he was unusually relaxed, as well. He and Liz seemed to fit together perfectly, and he didn't feel claustrophobic at all.

"Okay," Hillary said, nodding. She grinned. "Maybe next time we come here you can try something different. We might be able to find one you like."

Liz yawned quietly. She wasn't really tired, but she was relaxed, and a nap was probably a good idea after the crappy night's sleep she'd had.

Steve chuckled. "I wouldn't mind that," he said, smiling a little. "Anytime you want to come here, just let me know."

Bucky ended up dozing as well. He was comfortable, and felt oddly safe there with Liz. It was comforting knowing that between the two of them, they could handle anything that might happen, so it was okay to let his guard down some.

Hillary smiled back.

"I'll hold you to it," she warned.

Liz was more than happy to nap there for a while. After all, she was with a highly trained assassin. No one would be hurting them.

Steve smiled. "Good, I hope you do."

Hillary couldn't help but blush at that.

"I still don't get how you're so perfect," she said.

"I'm not perfect," Steve protested. "I'm really not."

"You really kind of are," Hillary said, grinning. "You won't convince me otherwise."

Steve shook his head, grinning. "Remind me to never let you and Bucky together on any kind of PR project."

Hillary laughed.

"What, afraid we'd tell everyone how perfect you are?" she teased.

"Yes," Steve deadpanned. "I'd be all you two would talk about and you'd glorify me and I would never live it down."
