@CloudDreamer: That would have been Eyjafjallajökull. But Bárðarbunga volcano has exceeded Eyjafjallajökuls eruption by far. And the fact that it keeps on going is.. amazing. It still spews bad gasses though luckily for the cold air, snow and ice everywhere the gas stays above and doesn't hit. Like when you pour oil into water, you see it float above and never sink. That's what's happening now with the gas being spewed from the volcano.
I am however very skeptical about it ending in March. How it looked like on the news it looked like water boiling in a pot at max heat and about to boil over. I am just waiting for a full blown eruption if not an explosive eruption where lava goes in all directions.
Earthquakes continue to frequent the area so I don't think it's about to stop any time soon. Bárðarbunga - all earthquakes | Articles | Seismicity | Icelandic Meteorological office
But then again that's just me. I find this exciting but at the same time I've grown used to it so much it's just a part of my daily life. After all, I think circa four months of eruption can do that to a person.
Still very exciting to hear news from it and how it's doing.

Seattle wouldn't be too bad. At least the northern area. It's uphill :D
(That's where I am)
