I like romantic, it's just not very multi-char friendly and I'm sort of hunting for at least 1 multi-char roleplay. ^^;

Romantic things can have multiple characters...but most don't last long. Hm. We could do like an intense love triangle or something.

Well I usually really like the drama. The chance of cheating, certain characters getting sick dying/getting murdered.... This is what attracts me to multiple character roleplays. the sheer drama.

Okay, so here goes.
Varies live in the mound (like a mountain, but more of a large hill. Strange for winged creatures, but eh.) rarely leaving to mate and what not. Unless they are cast out or leave voluntarily, they don't intermingle with human society.
The female is niece to a tyrannical/dark queen (queen is in charge instead of king). Her mother sent her away at a young age so she wouldn't be influenced by her cruel aunt, happening after her father died.
When she is all grown up she is called back to the mound, but she has to produce an hier because the current queen is stepping down.
The queen, being cruel and knowing how to hurt her most, says she has to take three (or more) lovers of the Queen's choice and whoever ends up impregnating her will be king.
(All the candidates are fairies because the queen hates humans.

What do you think? Its more fun than it sounds.

Edit: Sometimes I make one or more of them have a history with her.
And/or I have one of them live on the outside world as well. But, no fairy declines the wishes of the queen.

It sounds evil. But how would it be multiple characters? Is this like a plot where we make characters and branch out to make a whole bunch of sub plots or is it just... This? Sorry if I'm being complicated. XD But I do like it.

Well, multiple characters because there will be the girl and at least three guys. We could have even more and make it crazy, but up to you.

So in a sense there would only be one female? O.o This is a harem type thing? Gosh... Okay we can do this.

I would be interested in a sort of Mermaid/Merman arranged marriage, perhaps a festival or ritual or even the elders choose the pairs that would have the best chance of producing strong and intelligent offspring? Sometimes it goes splendidly, others the couple can't stand each others.

I was thinking that maybe Poseidon or whatever Water god we use had gone dormant and the sea had gone chaotic and dangerous as a result, making it so that sticking to the tradition was safer than being left alone out there. We could even add some politics and wars to things.

Necessary characters, that aren't in every aspect of the story, can be played by either of us.

Okay, we should start with choosing each arranged couple's initial chemistry and go from there, I think.

Ah, we could have two people that like each other that get split up to marry different people!
Like, have them be all bitter, trying to see each other under the radar. But, have the intended spouse of the female be super into her and she eventually falls for him. (Rebellion can be long or short).

Um, we could have a couple that actually likes each other when they are paired.

Let's see, then:

Couple 1 is initially fine with the match and slowly fall in love.
Couple 2 is initially divided, but the insistent courting of the male bring also an happy ending.
Couple 3 cannot stand each other, but form an understanding and a business-like relationship with time.

Something like that with Couple 2's female and Couple 3 male having been in love previously?

Oh, yeah we can fix that later down the road no problem. We could have one of the guys meet a human girl and fall for her.
But, the conflict could be that they still have to try and get the main fairy chick preggo. (I like the tension there)
