I got Pizza Hut for lunch. The hubby wanted wings instead of our usual two medium pizzas. So, I ordered him traditional buffalo wings, me bone-out honey bbq wings, and some toasted asiago bread sticks and some chocolate breadstick things since I had a $5 off $20 coupon. The hubby ate his wings and then asked "where's the pizza?" ALL YOU WANTED WAS WINGS!

Oh, trust me. There are never enough crayons to be gotten when everybody gets so serious and you don't know why.

... Iii get the feeling he wanted the wings as a side, not as the meal.

And there's nothing wrong with a serious conversation. I prefer something with substance myself.

Some people don't like to do serious, like moi, so I'm here to offer them a wing to grab onto if they'd like to join the thread. And I'm wondering if that figure of speech came to mind because of your avvie.

That's understandable. But on the other hand, other people don't like to do random. I don't think its any more appropriate to say "y so serious?" to a group of people settled into a serious conversation than it is to say "y so spammy?" to a group of people settled into a casual conversation, y'know? It just seems impolite- If you're not comfortable with where the thread is a the time, then that's okay, but its no reason to ruin it for the people who are already there.

He had specifically said he just wanted wings. I confirmed it three times while ordering.

The serious ones ignore me. The point is to start a lighter simultaneous conversation.

I got use ach 8 wings, an order of asiago breadsticks, and the chocolate dessert. I'm sure he didn't have the appetite for pizza anyway. He only ate one breadstick and his wings.

That's fair enough. But I don't think I'd appreciate it if I was enjoying a conversation and someone went "y so serious" at me like there was something wrong with me or with having a serious conversation. I mean, if you wanna start something more casual with other people, go for it, but there's better ways to do it.

Because man? I don't know. I don't understand his thinking.

I don't literally SAY, "Why so serious? Get your crayon~" That would be too blunt! I agree. I just say somethin' else in hopes of starting something new.
