My best friend is coming down for a visit in April!!! :D And she'll be staying for 4 nights! :D

I DON'T KNOW WHY I SAID THAT, BUT I'M GLAD YOU GUYS ENJOYED IT.

Yeah, she's been saying she'll come and visit since my first semester down here, but hey, at least she's making it down, before I leave! :P

It'll be fun! Not totally sure what we'll do, but it'll be awesome none the less, she did the math and she can get down here for about 160$ (including the flight down, and the shuttle to my dorm. :])

Wow... that is cheap! If I would try to fly anywhere one way it is like $400+. I live in WV. :/ So just the cheapest flight with no connecting flights which would be like to Charlotte(which I can drive to Charlotte cheaper than that. haha) or Chicago.

It's only because it's only an hour flight, and she's not even leaving the state. She's just flying from NorCal to SoCal. xDD It's like 98$ for the flight and then 50$ for her shuttle. And that's round trip, both of them. It's an hour flight, but an 8 hour drive... and her parents won't let her take the car... so flying it is! Plus driving is just so boring - it's straight down I-5... I've done that a few times... definitely not something I want to do again. I do it whenever I drive down here with my stuff or drive home - my parents make the trip as I don't drive. Otherwise I fly home as it's faster.

Oh, LAX is a horrible scary airport. Burbank is much faster, and also closer to me. ^_^ Flying Sac to Burbank, and then it's a 25 minute drive (no traffic) to where I live. ^_^ LAX is about an hour or so drive from me and terrifying to have to navigate through. XP

I'd totally stay with you guys if I had a choice.

Thank goodness I have never had to fly or had a layover at LAX. Chicago was bad enough. At least we weren't rushing from Point A to point B, but we had a 4 hour layover. Which still isn't as bad as the one we had in Germany. 8 hours. O_O

Planes. *shivers*

They aren't that bad. They are actually safer than cars. Plus faster. I usually have to take motion sickness meds though. haha.

I hate flying in planes, but it's usually the only way to get to where I need to go in time.

I usually go through LAX. I haven't experienced anything bad yet! :O But I did prefer going through Burbank the one time that I did it. It went so much faster, and the airport seemed a little cleaner, from what I remember.

I do too. I LOVE to travel. My husband refuses to go on a plane or to even get a passport. I don't understand it... I mean, to even DRIVE into Canada or Mexico you have to have a passport... SMH.

I love traveling too, but it can be such a drag sometimes.
I hate flying because I'm always scared it will be the last thing I do, you know? I've yet to leave the country, though, that's something I definitely want to do one of these days!

I have flown through LAX on my way to and back from Australia. Having to fly international through LAX is stressful. :/

I love traveling but don't have a passport nor have I left Canada. Blah. In the future!

One thing that is fun when traveling by plane is bringing my knitting. It seems that few people realize that knitting needles aren't prohibited (at least within Canada). I kind of like baffling them while I'm making something useful.
