Ah, yeah - not worth it to go all out when that's all you need it for. Hahaha, being lazy? :P I have a MacBook that my parents bought me a few years back. I love this laptop! <3 But before this I had a cheepie netbook that was ok, but at the same time - it wasn't all that great. Reason for the getting of the MacBook was they were getting my brother a decent laptop for college, he was headed off to his freshman year when they got us both new laptops, and it was only fair to get me a new computer too and it was the same price as the computer he wanted so we just went for it. I've not looked back sense. :]
But I can understand not wanting a super pricey one if all you need it for is school.
