If I want to dye my hair any color it takes forever, and even then, my hair always turns into a weird shade because I have to add so much bleach or chemicals to make it get even slightly lighter.

I dyed my hair a shade of orange-y brown about a month ago and it only looks light in the sun. In regular lighting it looks just dark brown. D:

Eh. I play what I want, and how people react to me is their own damn problem. :I I don't see the point in pretending what I am or am not so they'll treat me differently. I'm not the issue, they're the issue.

Eh, I don't like dying my hair. It takes too much time and money. xD So as things stand, dark hair's great.

I want to dye my hair pink someday because I think a pink fro would be badass.
But, I'd have to go through so much to get my head bleached.

For now, I'm just contemplating dying my hair back to it's natural pitch black.

I don't mind having black hair. It works perfectly for plenty of fantasy looks I have in mind~ Blue hair would be majestic.

When I was really little I had a very light hair, my mother called it "sandy brown" but looking back at me in preschool I can see how it would easily be mistaken for dirty blonde. Either way, my brown hair did continue to get darker as I grew up. It's somewhere between medium and dark brown naturally (pending how much sunlight I see... which usually isn't much if I have any say about it).

It's kind of cool because when I've had my hair dyed blonde, reddish, or black, people often think it's my natural hair colour. The one I just did is a dark black with sort of bluish shiny highlights. It was hard to keep my small ass bathroom from looking like I murdered a bunch of smurfs at a blueberry festival.

I wish I could pull off any color and it'd look natural.

The only colors I can do and get away with people thinking it's natural is black, (which is my natural color) and shades of brown. I dyed my hair honey blonde once, that was actually the color I was going for when I dyed it this time, but I ended up liking the brown better.

And certain colors like red and light blonde would look weird with my skin color....
Not that I care, but... I kind of do. I like my hair color to complement my skin, not make me look goofy.

Those people who had pale blond hair when they were little catch my eye.

I wonder how their hair got to be so light. It's almost white!

I used to have blonde hair.
It slowly turned light brown as I got a little older.
Haha.

That's true… hm. If I were one of those kids, I would've been mad when my hair turned brown.

I suppose the reason I can pull of anything from dirty blonde to black is because I'm mixed race. My mother is 1/4 Cherokee Indian and is proud of her brown skin :). My skin tone confused people when I was little. I remember being asked "Are you half-black half-white?" in first grade.

I'm African and Cherokee and have quite obviously brown skin. But it's not that dark.

I'm also mixed race, but my skin color is kind of caramel-y or even like, mocha latte or tea with milk in it kind of color. Like Zoe Saldana.

I'm black/white, but I feel like that's the reason why I can't pull off those colors.
And I think with my curly hair, certain colors look funny.

I think red curls would look strange on me.
But pink curls would look adorable!

My family is like, "Red hair on black people? Ugh, that's so ghetto." I think it looks nice! >_<

I.... I kind of think red hair on black people also looks ghetto, but it depends on how it's worn. Like, when Rihanna had her hair red, it didn't look ghetto,

But when people do the kook-aid dye look, it looks ghetto.

I dyed my hair red once with semi-permanent color because when I was younger my hair was naturally a dark brown and when I dyed it red it just looked like a wine color. I liked it, but I think it probably looked silly now that I think about it.

I think you have to really plan the color for it to look nice.

My relatives think black hair and pale skin people look terrible. Well I'm doing it so Ha! And with blue streaks.

Apparently dyed hair that is an unnatural color means they are a weirdo.
Good thing I am such a weirdo then i guess.

I like the unnatural colors on other people.
I think the only color I'd be a bit weird about is blonde, like, platinum blonde with brown skin, but I'm thinking more so on my own skin than someone else's.

But it's not even the skin issue, my main problem is that my hair is so curly that if I bleached it, it may loosen my curls and give me wavy hair instead. Which, I'm okay with, but I like my hair texture as it is. I wouldn't want it to get damaged.

I love pale skin and black hair, it's so beautiful and looks so unique.
But then, I also love pale skin with pale hair.

I'm actually doing that to my hair soon.

I used to be a goth kid back in middle school
And all of my friends dyed their hair black and I was just like,

"Well. My hair is already black, so ..."
And my parents wouldn't allow me to cut or dye my hair. So I had to wear those hair clips with the colors in them. My favorites were the pink ones.
