"I'm not mad at you he must be tricking you." Bruce growled. "That whole family is a mess." he huffed. "You'll have to watch out for him."

April frowned."I dont believe he's tricking me",she said softly.No,she knew he wasn't. "He's the one who told me about Nightmare...and how he wants to use, 'Huntress and Blaze' as his own personal tools of destruction",she said looking to Bruce."and do not blame Eric, fore who his parents are",she said sternly."he didn't chose them "

"I still don't trust him.'' Bruce glared. 'I will never trust him."

"Because your blaming home for the things he was foursed to be raised? Or the things that his father has done?" She asked giving a soft glare back. "He was raised a certain way Just like we were. I mean who's to say what path Eric or anyone would have chosen if they were born into normal families?"

"If he would have been normal I would trust him more." Bruce snorted then left when the door bell rang. "You know he's right April Joker and his family can't be trusted especially after what he had done to Jason." Martha had never meet Red hood when he was robin but she knew her father had nearly broken his rule of not killing when Joker killed him. Then Ra's brought him back and he had been different ever since.

April grumbeled."But its not his fault about who his father is! he really isnt as bad as eveyone is pegging him out tobe",she said and carefully sat up.Glad the pain wasn't as near as bad as before.She growled some holding back anything else she wanted to say."besides...he is the first guy,that I can be myself around Martha",she muttered softly.Wondering who was at the door,but had a feeling that she already knew...

"I guess but I still don't like it." Martha smiled. "Hello Uncle Richard." she hugged the tall man that entered. "Aunt Starfire." she hugged the orange woman who entered after Richard.

April looked down .

Richard smiled some and hugged her."Hello there Martha",he said and looked to April not knowing what to say then grunted as Starfire hugged them both.

Starfire smiled to them."its good to see you again",she said then looked toApril and sighed going over to her.>'April why wont you look at us"

April shook her head."because i dont need more people telling me not to trust Eric and so on and so on",she snapped

Martha sighed. "She seems to think he's in love with her. Though mom and dad are in love...though that's different." she smiled at her dad.

"how...hoe is it any different. Last I checked your mom was a criminal once a pon a time....no, she was no where near as bed as the others.but still",April snapped.

Starfire glared."April thats enough we just don't want to see you get hurt!",she said harshly.

Richard starred. "April ,there right hes the jokers son...the joker April...."

April growled griping her fist causeing some sparks coming out of her fist."he does care about me...i ...I know he does!"

Starfire looked some what sadly then sighed."I want to talk to this Eric boy...Martha,where can I fin him"

"No idea maybe at Jokers house or with Riddler." Martha shrugged. "I'm alright with them dating I'll just leave Erik in a dark space with nothing in it if he does anything to April." she smiled at her friend.

April looked to Martha and smiled thankful for her freind.

Starfire nodded."glad to here",she then looked to Richard and Bruce."I trust April's judgment ", she then went to the window and looked back."I wont be long ,but i suggest that the room be empty ...except for you April,when I get home",she said and flew off ,spotting Jason and Eric walking she landed in front of them eyeing Eric down.

Jason stated."okay so maybe April can't stop her parents"

"I told you I was died. DO me a favor and tell April I love her.' Erik stepped forward. "Just make it quick please."

"I know those looks." Martha chuckled at the shared look on Richard and her fathers face. "Come on you two." she pulled them away her father grumbling.

Starfire blinked a few times and then smiled."Im not here to kill you i just want to see if you really love her or if your messing with her in order to end up killing her"

Richard followed and sighed trusting Starfire but wondered what she was up to

"No ma'am I never even imagine killing your daughter ever. I would rather let her kill me first." Erik smiled softly going off in to love land.

"You understand then why many of us are doubtful?",she asked calmly ad looked to Jason then to Eric and smiled."now then time to go",she said walking over and grabbing their wrist tightly ,flying off before they could argue,seeing Marthas room she looked to Jason."you are not to leave and wonder around unless Martha is with you",she said throwing Jason into her room thew the open window then getting back to April's room she set Eric down carefully and looked to April who was just staring at the two of them.

April sighed."darn it .I knew i died back there",she grumbled looking down

Erik kissed her hungrily. "Oh April I'm so glad your alright." he kissed her forehead and her cheeks. "I thought." he cut himself off and buried his head in her hair.

After Martha got her dad calmed down she went to her room staring at Jason for a second before she screeched. Ace there loyal hound raced to her aid and bit Jason's arm growling. He shook with all his might planning on ripping his arm off.

Jason yelped in pain curseing but did nothing.

Starfire watched to see if he was acting but smiled then hearing Martha she frowned."just like her father",she flew to teh room."Ace relase I brought him here!"

April was capougt off guard by his kiss and blushed deeply when he burried his face into her hair."I ... i didnt mena to worry you",she finally said. "and im alive thanks you you getting me un stuck",she said hugging him tightly.Just to be sure she wasnt dreaming

"I would have taken that pain myself.' Erik smiled kissing her head again keeping her pressed to his chest breathing in her perfume.

Ace didn't listen to her he was the Wayne's dog and would only let go if a member of the house told him. "Get him out Ace." Martha ordered and Ace let go of his arm only to bite his leg pulling with all three hundred something pounds of his muscle towards the door. Bruce rushed in and cursed grabbing Jason's collar "Let go Ace." Ace let go growling. He marched Jason downstairs and tossed him out the door. "Don't come near me again." Martha growled.

Starfire shook her head.As long as this is how people who were trying to be good got treated,then there would never be peace.She flew out and met with Richard to sit and talk.

April blushed and hearing all the commotion she looked to Eric."lets grab Jason and get out of here",she said standing and was glad that her healing was kicking in."Martha ,Bruce...my dad...there all so judgmental ....and act so high and mighty abiout tings,its starting to drive me crazy...."she frowned seeing Jason bleeding."besides he needs to get patched up"

"I can't believe your mom just dropped him in her room...I think he should be glad Bruce didn't punch him I mean really." Erik sighed and took her hand. He lead the way dodging around Bruce who stopped him short. "Never let anything happen to April." he warned "I can't stop you two from being together but I will be watching closely. If you come with her to visit leave your friend behind." He let them go with just that warning.

"She proabablly had good intentions..",she muttered."leave it to them to jump to conclusions",she added and then sighed when Bruce stopped them,trying her best not to glare him down.Oce free to go she went Jason who was useing his jacket to stem the bleeding."lts get him back to my place"

Richard watched April leaving with the boys and frowned softly."why did it have to be a villian that she feels normal around?"

Starfire watched and smiled."because , more then anyone else,a villian may know how it feels to be an outcast ...",she said looking to Richard."i should head home, i feel like i too would be un welcomed now",she kissed Richards cheek."stay a few days catch up and keep an eye on April",she said flying off

"Yeah...at least Bruce seems to be...less wintery about the idea." Erik shook his head and helped his friend. "Well looks like your mom just ruined Jason's last chance at getting on Martha's good side." he finished tying his wounds. "Come on you." he let him lean on him.

Jason sighed."before i could say a thing i was attacked",he muttered."I dont blame your mom,no madder what i did Martha would push me away,guess this is the way it has to bee....oh well"


April walked with them and looked back a moment and then looked away."like i say its all the way people are brought up",she said crossing her arms."Im lucky im so open minded "

Jason looed to Eric."you are so lucky..."

Richard enterd the house sitting on the couch thinkng

"Well you where in her room her whole sanctuary without her permission." Erik glanced at April. "I would never do that April her room is her own. I would only go in if she let me in."
