Jason smiled as he finished up."there",setting his sandwitch down he went into his little boat house pulling out a map.He had a few months till his little niece or nephew waould come into the world,plus he wasn't needed here at the moment,a road trip wa sounding like just the thing he needed.Though he would have to tell Eric at least.

Erik returned home looking tired. "Man am I tired." he sighed. "Love I'm home...any idea why Martha is hanging out on the roof of the building next door?" he could just make out the girls form.

Martha had grown bored of Damien's so she had gone to April only to remember that she couldn't talk to her friend about how she felt. She had decided to sit on the roof hoping to spot Jason Todd as he went home.

April who had just finished dinner blinked."oh for crying out-",she sat the plates down and kissed Eric gently.'Ill be righ back",she said flying up and just sat beside her quitly."you know you can tell me anything,i may not understand it,but im here to lissen,and ,try to understand",she said softly ,and also was keeping a look out for...well whoever Martha was looking for.

"No I don't think you would...and I'm looking for the other Jason...Red Hood." Martha sighed. "I thought maybe I could talk to him. Look I don't hand Jason and I'm honestly trying to trust him. I mean I trust Erik...most of the time and Jason I don't know well enough to trust."

April flinched a bit."but you trust me right?and I trust Jason",she said softly.Then spoted him."there he is,I'll leave you gguys to talk",she bit her lip.That Jason was practicly a villan now too,but she trusted him?She shook her head.."and call your mom,she's worried too yah know?",she flew back to the house going incarefuly shutting the door.

Jason(Todd) ,blinked seeing April fly into her home and stopped looking up to Martha."should I sk?",he said crossing his arms.

Martha leaped down and hugged Jason glad she had caught him. "I just need someone to talk to." She sighed. While Bruce had never been pleased she had come to view Jason as a brother she didn't care. Ever since they had started hanging out Jason had always felt like a confident while Tim had been to goody, goody and Damien had over done the older brother making her feel inferior.

Erik blinked and kissed her hand "should I ask?" He smiled playing with her hair.

Jason blinke a bit."oh,sure",he carefully hugged her back."whats going on?".he asked calmly

April shook her head."no,your better off not asking",she said staying close

"It's April she thinks I should just love Riddlers son but I don't. I'm at least trusting Erik but that's not enough suddenly I have to trust Riddlers son Jason." Martha vented.

Erik kissed her hair. "Alright love." He went to make supper. "I had a interesting day at work. I hope you didn't miss me to much."

April looked to him."how was yur day,what made it interesting",she asked walking over


Jason blinked."well i think she want's you to trust him.But i don't think she expects you to love him.She doesnt want to fight anymore,so in't easyer to have so trust in them,and in her?",he sai calmly."and you trust me,and im not exsactly a good guy anymore"

"I know." Martha sighed. "It's hard when you don't know them." she smiled a little and hugged him. "I knew you would listen." she took a breath. "I'll try harder to trust him."

"It was amazing a guy walked in with a tight shirt and spandex pants. I thought I would die of laughter." Erik chuckled.

Jason smiled a bit."yeah ,im here if you need me,just don't tell your dad that",he said softly.

April blinkd laughing a bit." i wish i was there to see it"

"It was priceless." Erik sighed. "If only ever night could be like that." He kissed her stomach.

"Dad's still upset about how he failed you." Martha bite her lip. "I wish he could forgive himself."

"why does he think he failed me?I was never ment to be a goody goody",Jason said softly."the past is in the past,he needs to get over it",he shifted uncontrollably."besides i have my own way of getting back at the joker , but i may have to change that plan...",he said glancing at Aprils home.


April blushed softl watchng him."your so sweet"

"If you dare touch either of them I'll bring you down personally." Martha growled glaring daggers at him. "You know very well dad still blames himself for you dying."

"I try." Erik laughed.

"don't worry i would never hurt April.....the joakers son,thats another story",he said looking to Martha."and as i said,he needs to get over it...the joaker should have been delt with a long time ago,but this no kill policy he will always be there to hurt people"


April smiled softly."i love you",she said softly

"Well that's just how dad is...besides if he was dead Erik wouldn't be here to make April happy." Martha sighed. "If you killed Joker dad would arrest you but no one would be that upset not even Erik. Erik hate's his father almost as much as we do."

"I love you more." Erik kissed her passionately.

"ah but the joaker would know that feeling of someone dieing,then when the out cry comes for the jokers death because of how he'll react,then i will gladly do thejob",he snorted."you dad ,and you, could arreest me all you want,i'd still been as the one who could get the job done,and why not blame his son for who his father is.thats what we as heros do all the time"

April blushed but kissed him deeply."cant we just call it a tie?"

"You leave Erik alone." Martha pushed him away glaring. ''It's not like Joker cares about Erik anyways he's been trying to kill him all week...don't tell April that." she grimaced.

"Deal." Erik kissed her once more then went back to making supper.

Jasonfrowned."why has the joaker been trying to kill him?and why has no one told her?"

April came over and helped."you i should be the one cooking"

"Because he hates that Erik choose to be good for April." Martha sighed. "I'm also worried if I tell her she'll go over the edge. I want to break it gentle...plus I just found out."

Jason frowned a bit,knowing that April had worked hard on getting her powers under control again."right",he rubbed his eyes."I'll see what I can do,okay?",he grumbeled a bit."and just try to lighten up a bit,i know we were raised to be serious,but we need to have some fun once in a while"

"I guess your right Jason.'' Martha sighed a little. ''I do have fun sometimes you know...just with April. I'll tell her first thing in the morning." she glanced up at the windows. ''give her some time with Erik.'

((morning skip.))

Jason smiled a bit and looked towards the house as well."right",and with that he was off.

The Next Day

April got up the next day before Eri,making him a nice breakfast,and even a lunch for work."there",she said nodding

Martha knocked on the door. 'Coming." Erik opened the door then blinked at Martha. ''Yes?" he frowned. "I need to talk to you two about Joker.'' Martha slipped in then smiled at April. "Bad news Joker's trying to kill Erik." "WHAT!?" Erik blinked in surprise.

April blinked staring at Martha."wh-why?",she said looking worried.
