Joker groaned "well aimed." He weezed laughing then picked up a machete swinging it at her.

Catwoman hugged him as tight as she could not realizing just how scared she was till she was safe in his arms. She shivered and trembled silent tears rolling down her cheeks.

Vixen silently cursed and ducked fast, just barely avoiding the machete. Unfortunately, the edge of the blade caught her mask, knocking it off of her face. Dropping to the floor, she kicked again, trying to sweep his legs out from under him. Then she rolled over to where her mask lay, picked it up and put it on, but the damage was done. He had seen her face.

Luckily for Vixen, Batman had been too busy focusing on Catwoman to notice what had happened. He hugged her, running a hand over her hair. "It's okay, you're safe now. You should have seen your cat- she beat up a hyena." He said, trying to cheer her up.

Catwoman gave a shakey laugh. "Probably the only time that cat has done anything to save me." She rubbed her exposed cheeks glad she had her mask on. "You want to go kick him?"

Joker stared for a while and then started laughing. "Of course I should have known." He shook his head.

Shaking her head, Vixen attacked again, this time pinning him to the wall with her hand at his throat. "You will say nothing, understand? I have no desire to see my face all over the news, not to mention it would put me behind bars faster that you could say "oops" and unlike you, I have no way of getting out. This is your only warning. And don't think that this happened because of you, because it didn't." She hissed, making sure to knee him in the gut for emphasis before letting him go. Looking over at Batman, she sighed and shook her head, then disappeared. She had no business there anymore.

Batman nodded. "More than anything, though there probably isn't much left to kick after Vixen is done with- where'd she go?"

Joker chuckled and straightened turning to wink and Catwoman and Batman. "You two sure are a cute couple.'' he grinned.

"how does that feel?'' Catwoman laughed then flinched as the Joker addressed them. "I really hate that he knows so much.' she sighed.

"Not much we can do about it now." Batman said, deciding to ignore her first comment for now. Without another word, he ran forward and attacked the clown.

Catwoman watched as Joker welded the crowbar laughing like the madman he was.

Batman ducked and dodged the crowbar, aiming kicks, punches and Batarangs at the Joker with his usual grim determination.

"Go honey." Catwoman cheered then grimaced as Batman got Joker in the stomach.

Joker slammed the crowbar into Batmans abs grinning a little. "To bad your not as much fun as Jason was.''

Batman let out a soft grunt, though thanks to the suit the crowbar hadn't hurt too badly. At the Joker's next words, Batman's eyes widened. "Don't you dare talk about him!" He growled, attacking with more ferocity. He was intent on hurting the Joker enough to put him back in the hospital.

"Oh you going to put me in a body cast again.'' Joker laughed. "Would you do that if I killed your little girlfriend?'' he smirked clearly baiting him.

Without answering, Batman punched the Joker in the face. "I won't be baited, Joker. Just give up now before you spend another month locked in the hospital."

"I'll never give up.'' Joker grinned and whistled his hyenas appeared one got attacked by Mal but the other went for Catwoman who yelped and pulled out her whip smacking the creature across the nose with it.

Swearing, Batman turned to fire a small explosive at the hyena attacking Catwoman. Then he turned back, prepared to break a few bones.

Catwoman sighed as the hyena scuttled away growling a little the one with Mal on his back shook her off and joined his brother. When Batman turned around Joker was gone save for his toys.

Batman swore, and turned to Catwoman, shaking his head. "He gets away every time...maybe if that Vixen stuck around...why was she so eager to save you, anyway?"

"Well I did tell her about you...that's Gemini.'' Catwoman shrugged a little "Don't tell her I told you or she'll kill me.'' she glanced at him as Mal landed on her shoulders rubbing her head against her cheek trying to make her feel better.

Blinking, Batman sighed and shook his head. "Gemini. Of course, I should have known. But...I thought Gemini was good. What happened to make her go bad?" He asked, not knowing that even Catwoman didn't know.

"I'm not sure.'' Catwoman shrugged then hugged him suddenly. "Can we go back and cuddle know?" she asked breathing in his unique smell of cologne and night air.

Batman smiled softly. "Sure. Lead the way, love." He said.

"What if I wanted you to carry me?" Catwoman asked pouting a little. "Or that maybe I'm still scared and want to stay in you arms because it's safe."

((Eh sleepy sauce.))

"Then I'll carry you." Batman replied, picking Catwoman up bridal-style. He wasted no time dashing away with her.

Lori wake with a start the next morning. She blinked and sighed in relief remembering that she was safe at home. She had spent the rest of the night curled up in Bruce's arms letting go only when she had to use the bathroom.

Being the light sleeper he was, Bruce woke up as soon as Lori jolted. "Lori? Are you okay?" He asked groggily.

Gemini, on the other hand, hadn't slept much at all. She had spent the night waking up from dreams of the night she was attacked. Eventually, she had just stayed awake. Lucifer watched her with interest as she beat the stuffing out of a punching bag in her living room. "It wasn't him. I was always this way." She growled. "He didn't make me go bad. It was my choice! It had nothing..to do with...with him..." Her anger seemed to drain out of her as she dropped to the floor, crying. "Who am I...?"

"I am know." Lori hugged him snuggling against his chest taking a deep breath.

Joker almost didn't go to the café but he felt he needed to tell Gemini the truth though he wasn't sure why.
