Gemini hesitated at first, then kissed back just as roughly.

"I meant other couples. I just never understood why they did it." Bruce said, taking the fork and getting some food for her. "I understand why, now. Although, I think I have a better method of doing it." He said, before taking the bite of food in his own mouth, then kissing her.

Lori blushed darkly then took the food pulling away she swallowed tightly. "You...I...Flirt." she finally settled with playing with a strand of her hair. "Well that is better we aren't birds." she teased.

Joker finally pulled away when someone came to refresh there cocoa. "Sorry." he blushed.

Bruce laughed. "I just wanted to give it a try. It was better than I thought." He said.

Blushing slightly, Gemini just smiled. "Don't be. I liked that."

Lori blushed more. "Perv." She grumbled pushing her hair from her face. She kissed him quickly before she went back to eating.

"I'm glad." Joker smiled managing to not make it creepy. "I'll be sure to give you plenty then." He teased.

"But I'm your perv." Bruce said, putting an arm around her shoulders.

"I look forward to it." Gemini said honestly.

"Where did I go wrong?" Lori sighed. "I am all was right when I choose you." she kissed him once more then settled in to finish eating.

Joker fell silent then swallowed. Talia sat down at the table across from them it was an obvious move she clearly knew who they where. She watched them for a moment before ordering something.

Bruce smiled and settled in closer to her, deciding to just enjoy being near her.

Gemini was clearly torn between rage and fear. "Okay...what now?" She asked quietly, keeping an eye on the woman.

"Panic?" Joker suggested with a quick glance at Talia he froze more as she came over. "How is Lori Gemini?" Talia asked with a sugar sweet smile knowing neither of them could do anything in a crowded café.

Lori finished eating with a happy sigh. "I love Alfred's cooking." she glanced at him. "Is mine better?" she pouted cutely.

Gemini thought quickly. Talia had been hauled off to prison before she got to find out what happened to Lori. She must have just gotten out, and probably still didn't know. Nobody knew, really. As far as Talia knew, the doctor she hired had succeeded. Gemini put on a look of anguish and rage. "As if you don't know. You hired that doctor, didn't you? Not that he was needed. The internal bleeding is what did it, in the end..." Her voice broke, as if she were about to cry. "You had better watch yourself, Talia. I will avenge her, no matter what the cost." She said, not having to fake the anger in her voice. Please, buy it. Believe that Lori is dead.

Bruce looked around as if he were checking to make sure no one could hear him. "Well, yes. But don't tell Alfred, I don't want to hurt his feelings." He whispered with a smile.

"Shouldn't you be mourning her with Bruce then instead of out with the Joker." Talia laughed. "That girl is more stubborn then I thought...no matter it will only be a matter of time.'' she patted Joker's hand and slipped off a giant shadow following her.

"You should be more scared of hurting my feelings." Lori chuckled and handed him the tray. "Away with you slave."

"How could I? He won't come out of his room." Gemini shot back. It was technically the truth. She didn't get a chance to argue further, because Talia walked away. "Shit. We have to make it look like Lori is dead. That's the only way Talia will back off long enough for me to take her out." She said, taking out her phone and texting Lori and Bruce the situation.

Bruce rolled his eyes and took the tray. "As you wish, mistress." He said, just as his phone went off. "Hm? It's Gemini...oh." He said as he read the text.

"Damn right I'm your mistress." Lori laughed. "What does she want know?" she rolled her eyes.

"You couldn't have thought of something else besides dead...you know how hard it is to make them alive again?" Joker sighed.

Bruce sighed and handed Lori the phone, letting her read for herself.

"She doesn't have to actually be dead, and no one has to believe it besides Talia. Once Talia is dead, there's no need to ever bring it up again." Gemini said. "Anyway, I didn't hear you coming up with anything, so I just...winged it."

Lori blinked at the message and sighed "Well then." she wrote back. *Couldn't have thought of something better?* She looked at Bruce. "I don't think Talia will ever give up wanting you for herself." she looked away chewing her lip. "If she starts going after the city...we'll have to stop being together." tears appeared at the corner of her eyes.

"Maybe but do you really think that will stop her from doing whatever she is planning. With Lori still alive she's focused on her and not on whatever she has in mind." Joker sighed. "Right know Lori is more a distraction.'

Bruce shook his head. "I won't let that happen. No matter what happens, I refuse to let Talia force us apart." He promised.

Gemini listened while reading the text, and rolled her eyes. "Okay, I fail, got it. Well, since she doesn't believe me anyway, we'll just have to move quickly and get her before she can get Lori. I bet if we can get her into Ivy's forest, she wouldn't stand a chance..."

"What about if it's between me and saving the city?" Lori asked raising her eyebrow a little then sighed. "No I know the answer to that.'

Joker chuckled and shook his head. "Ivy really cares for Lori doesn't she...bet Bruce would love to know there past." he smirked a little.

Bruce paused. He wanted to tell Lori that he would choose her, but he knew that he couldn't. So he settled for the truth as best as he could put it. "I would find a way to do both. I've done a lot of impossible things in my life, Lori...keeping you and saving the city shouldn't be too hard in comparison."

Gemini shrugged. "It would seem so. Honestly, I think a lot of people would love to hear about those two, but Lori, at least, isn't telling. Well." She pushed her chair out and stood up. "I'm going to give Ivy a visit, and try to get this worked out. Would you like co come with me?"

"No thank you Ivy would sick her pet Venus human trap on me first and ask questions later." Joker laughed. "Not that I couldn't just kill it but she would never speak to you."

Lori sighed. "Sure Bruce." she knew that when it right to it she would let him choose the city over her knowing how much saving it meant to him. "Whatever you say love." she kissed him and then smiled at the nurse who helped her walk around leaving Bruce to do whatever he wanted.

Gemini chuckled. "Yeah, that's true...okay, I'll come for a visit after I'm done talking with her. I'm going to need your help on this one." She said, before giving him a quick kiss. "See you later." And then she was gone.

Bruce frowned, knowing that she didn't believe him, but left it alone. He just took the tray of food back downstairs, trying to figure out a way to deal with Talia so that she wouldn't hurt Lori.

Lori went for a walk around the grounds when the nurse left. Looking back at the manor once she sighed and found her way to the sewer slipping into it she made her way up town to her hideout slipping a few things in her pockets before pulling her suit on. She grimaced as her side whined "You've had worse." she sighed then smiled at Mal. "Take care of him Mal." she slipped into the night.

Ivy sat in her park forest and watched the animals and stray kids play in her home smiling a little.

When Bruce got back to his room and found Lori gone, naturally he panicked. Where could she have gone? She was hurt! "That crazy woman!" He shouted, looking all over for her.

Gemini approached on foot, knowing her car would just complicate things. "Ivy! Can I talk to you about something?" She called.

Ivy raised her head and slipped out of the park smiling when she saw Gemini. "Is Lori alright?" she asked giving her a quick hug.

Lori found Talia easily and stood facing her. "Well, well who let the cat out of the bag." Talia laughed. She was working on something "Not funny Talia." she growled and then sighed. "I want you to leave Gotham alone in exchange...I'll leave Bruce." her voice sounded hollow to her ear.

Gemini hugged her back. "She's doing better, thank goodness. Listen, I've made a decision. I want Talia dead, so she can't ever hurt Lori again. And I'm going to kill her. But I need your help." She said, going on to explain her idea. "I want to get this done as soon as possible. Talia is already on the move..."

Bruce finally had to check the security cameras, and when he did, he cursed, then instantly went after Lori. He had a feeling he knew what she was trying to do.

Talia blinked then laughed. "Deal I'm bored of Gotham anyways." she held her hand out and Lori shook it. "I'll be gone before he knows how to find me." she slipped away and went back home packing quickly she left the ring on the kitchen table. She picked up Mal giving her a hug before the cat slipped away into the night. She sighed and picked up her suitcase with a last look at her apartment she locked the door and headed for her car. She drove to the train station and with a deep breath walked up the counter. "One ticket to new York one way please." she paid and sat waiting for the train.

Ivy grinned "You get her to my forest she'll never see the light of day again. We'll make sure of that." a root from her Venus fly trap appeared and wrapped around her waist.

By the time Bruce had tracked her down, Lori was nowhere in sight. He went to her place to see if she was there, and found the ring on the table- after breaking the lock to get in, of course. Holding the ring in his hand, Bruce shook his head."Dammit, Lorinda..." And then he was off again, to the train station. It was the only place he could think that she could have gone.

Gemini nodded. "Thanks. Expect to see her here by tonight." She said, before leaving with a wave. Now she had to go see Joker and tell him the plan. She would need his help to get Talia to the forest.
