"I'm sorry. I know, it was-" Bruce froze, staring at Lori. "What did you just say?" He asked, not sure he'd heard correctly.

Gemini nodded. "Just another victim of Lori's spazness." She said.

"Is it sad that we're use to it?" Ivy laughed shaking her head. "Well not all the time but most of the time."

Lori blinked frowning. "What baby mom?" Lena prompted. "Oh that.'' Lori blushed "It was suppose to be a surprise on our honeymoon but well...I'm pregnant." she looked a space of pillow just above his head.

Gemini shrugged. "It helps that we've known her a long time. And in my case, I'm a bit spazzy myself, so it's not as noticeable. I wonder what's going on in there?"

Bruce blinked. Then blinked again. And then a third time just for good measure. "Pregnant. A baby. Right now?" He asked, placing a hand over Lori's belly. A smile made it's way onto his features, and he looked up to meet her gaze. "Lori...really? This is...are you happy?"

"Of course I'm happy...I never thought I would get to have another one." Lori blushed "Though." she smirked at him letting him fill in the blank and took the hand that was over his stomach. "It's been about a week. I even got Leslie to double check for me. You get to raise a baby." she smiled.

"No idea." Ivy shrugged. "Not likely to find out are we?" she shrugged. "They make a nice family."

Bruce's smile was radiant. "Oh, Lori...I'm so happy. A baby...our baby. And this time, we get to raise it together." He squeezed her hand, since he couldn't hug her at the moment.

"Yeah, they do. I always dreamed of having a family..." Gemini shook her head. "I'm happy for them. After everything that's happened, they deserve to be happy."

Lena rushed out of the room looking over joyed. She had asked her mother and laughing she said she could tell. "Moms going to have another baby!" she grinned. Lori rested her head against Bruce's chest "More reason for you to take it easy." she smiled up at him patting his chest.

"That's great!" Ivy hugged Lena. "Another baby."

Bruce hugged her, smiling. "I'm actually looking forward to a break. It's...kind of nice, to finally have the load of Batman off my shoulders. I can't fully relax until I'm sure the position will be taken, though." He said.

Gemini actually jumped up and down. "Oh, that's great! I'm so happy!!" She squealed. She wanted to hug Lena as well, but she was soaked. "Um...okay, I'm going to go home and change now. Then I have a couple of things to take care of, but can you let them know I'll be back to visit tomorrow? And give them both a hug for me." She begged Lena.

"I'll do that." Lena smiled and let Ivy leave as well slipping in to say goodbye to her father. "What about Damien or Tim?" Lori offered.

Bruce nodded. "I thought of them, too. To be honest, I'm just not sure...for a long time, I hoped it would be Damien, but our ideas tend to differ so much..." He mused worriedly.

Gemini headed off to get changed. Lucifer jumped her when she got home, demanding details. She told him everything while she changed, then fed him and told him where she was going. "I'll leave the fire escape window open for you." She said, leaving. Then she headed out to find a certain clown.

Joker was at his place keeping low letting the hyenas eat the rest of a large something.

"You'll find someone love...maybe you won't be needed for long." She yawned. "Come on mom we should get home." Lena took her moms elbow. "Alfred!" Lori gasped. "Do you know how he is?"

Bruce nodded. "Just before I found you, I was told that Alfred was fine. He's here, unconscious but alive. Wearing a bullet proof vest, apparently." He said with a smile.

Gemini knocked on the door and entered, deliberately not looking at whatever the hyenas were eating. "Hey. Have you been staying safe?" She asked.

"Thank goodness I would never have forgiven myself if he had been hurt." Lori sighed looking relieved. "Goodnight Bruce." She kissed him and let Lena drag her home yawning the whole way.

Joker blinked at her and raised a eyebrow. "Safe enough to not have been arrested yet." He turned back to the hyenas.

Bruce nodded. "I feel the same way." He said. He gave her a quick kiss back and waved as she left, then closed his eyes to rest.

Gemini approached hesitantly and sat next to him. "So far no one's linked you to that cop. Bruce is going to live, and Lori is pregnant." She said, not sure what else to say.

"I care about Lori why?" Joker was watching her wondering what exactly she wanted.

Lori collapsed into bed feeling lonely with Bruce next to her but curled against Ace sighing softly.

"You don't, I guess. I just had nothing else to say, and I thought it was neat." Gemini said, then finally looked at him. "You saved me. You put your own life in danger and saved me, and you didn't have to. There was nothing in it for you." She shook her head. "Did that really happen, or am I dreaming?"

"I told you I didn't want anything happening to you." Joker grumbled petting the head of the hyena's blushing softly. "Besides it was fun tussling with Bruce and disarming the cop. It's what I do best."

Gemini smiled softly. "I love you." She said, before kissing him passionately. "I think...if you want...I'm ready to show you how much I love you." She said suggestively.

"What exactly to you mean?" Joker smirked a little and placed a hand around her waist. "Are you suggesting what you I think your thinking?"

Gemini moved a little closer, leaving no space between them. "I am suggesting that I'm finally ready for..." She leaned in and whispered the last word to him. "...If you'd like to."

"Oh I want to if your sure." Joker kissed her gentle hands running all along her back exploring her shirt.

"I'm sure." Gemini whispered, running a hand down his chest.

((AND time skip. Next morning?))

Joker came to the next morning a little unsure of he had just had a fever dream or not.

Lori woke and got dresses arriving at the hospital just in time for visiting hours. She checked on Alfred who was nursing a bruised rib but was otherwise fine before she went to Bruce's room arranging his plate while she waited for him to wake.

The answer became glaringly obvious as Gemini, curled up next to him, moved closer in her sleep. She was using his chest as a pillow. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked up, blushing. "'Morning." She said.

It took a good ten minutes before Bruce woke up, wincing slightly as he yawned. He spotted Lori and smiled. "Oh, good. I was hoping I'd see you first when I woke up." He said.

"Well your wish came true." Lori grinned and kissed him gentle. "I brought some food from home so eat up." She sat and held out a fork full of food.

Joker grinned back. "Morning." He ran a hand over her back. "Have fun?" He teased.

"You're the best." Bruce said, letting Lori feed him. It was certainly a blessing to have her food instead of hospital food.

Gemini pretended to think for a moment. "Yes, I did. And you?" She asked with a blush. It was a bit embarrassing, asking, since it had been her first time. She didn't know if she was any good.
