"I checked on Alfred and he's going fine a little sore but ready to come home. Lena's going to pick him up and bring him home to take care of him." Lori explained and feed him more.


''I greatly enjoyed it yes...you make cute noises." Joker grinned ready for the smack.

Gemini smacked him just hard enough to sting, her face almost as red as her hair. "You just had to ruin it, didn't you? Meanie." She pouted.

Bruce smiled. "I'm glad he's okay. He deserves a rest...this is probably the only way he was ever going to take some time off." He said.

"True, True." Lori chuckled and feed him another fork full hand shaking a little. "I wish you could come home." her eyes misted over sniffing softly.

Joker laughed and kissed her deeply. "Sorry I couldn't help myself love." he stretched. "I'll make breakfast as penance." he slipped away and started breakfast.

Bruce reached up to steady her hand. "It's okay, Lori. I'll be home by tomorrow. I won't be able to give you the honeymoon I wanted to because of certain...limitations, but at least I'll be able to heal quickly." He assured.

Gemini crossed her arms, but couldn't help but smile. Instead of waiting there for breakfast, she got up and followed him- after throwing her shirt back on.

Lori dropped the fork and hugged him tightly burying her head into his neck getting his neck wet though this time she was crying hard. "Can we go to Paris when your better if I'm not to fat?"

Joker was making waffles deep in concentration as he flipped bacon and eggs as well. "have a seat it will be ready soon."

Bruce rubbed her back, trying to comfort her. "Of course we can, love. We can go anywhere you want. And you won't be fat at all, no matter what." He said.

Gemini nodded and went to sit down, watching him. "Okay, take your time." She said, finding it kind of interesting how concentrated he was just for waffles.

"Good." Lori let out a yawn and relaxed into his warmth. She hadn't slept very well with out him there she had grown so use to him being there.

Joker finished up and placed it on the table with the bacon and eggs. "I hope its good I haven't eaten in forever."

Bruce moved over a little bit to give Lori some room. "Here, lay with me. Take a rest." He said.

Gemini smiled brightly. "It smells great." She said, taking a bunch of food and starting on it.

Lori curled up next to him and fell asleep almost at once hand clenched around his shirt mumbling in her sleep.

"Is it good?" Joker half looked like a child waiting to be scolded by his mother.

Bruce smiled softly, putting an arm around her to keep her close. While she was asleep, a nurse came in to check on him, then a doctor. As he'd predicted, the doctor said he could go home, but only with the promise that he would stay in bed for at least a week.

Gemini nodded, then swallowed so she could talk. "Yeah, it's great! I didn't know you could cook." She smiled at him brightly. "You know, Lori is still trying to teach Bruce how to cook. He's hopeless at it. Next time I see Lori, I am so bragging about this!" She said excitedly.

Joker blinked then started to laugh. "That's hilarious... I guess only poor street people with no butler to help us know how to cook." He smirked a little.

Threw it all Lori slept only waking an hour later when Lena came to pick her up. "But I don't want to leave yet." Lori pouted. "You didn't hear that dad can come home?" Lena blinked with a surprised look Lori looked to Bruce.

Gemini shrugged. "All I know is, Bruce was lucky to have Alfred all that time, or he probably would've starved." She said, continuing to enjoy her food- and the fact that she had a boyfriend who could cook.

Bruce smiled. "I wanted to tell you, but you were sleeping so soundly I decided to let you rest. The doctor said I can go home now, but only if I stay in bed for a week." He said.

"A world without Bruce Wayne...Who would I bother then?" Joker chuckled and went back to eating.

Lori jumped up. "That's great I'll get you dressed." Lena handed her a bag of cloths. "Soon as your dressed I can take you home." Lori began to help him dress.

Gemini just smirked and finished her food. "Thank you for breakfast, it was awesome." She said, getting up to do the dishes.

Bruce chuckled. "Okay, alright, easy now." He said, letting her dress him. He knew that resisting would only get him hurt.

Lori finished dressing him and stood back to examine him. "Good choice with the pajamas Lena." She smiled as her daughter entered with the paperwork signed. "know you have to stay in bed or so help me I'll tie you down and make you stay." Lori threatened. Lena pushed a wheelchair to him "hospital rules dad you need to go as for as the outer door." Lori nodded and waited for him to sit down.

Bruce smiled at Lori. "You'll tie me down? Maybe I'll try to get up a couple of times..." He teased, before Lena arrived. His smile instantly disappeared at the sight of the wheelchair. "Do I have to? I can't stand being seen in a wheelchair..." He said sulkily. "Isn't there a way you can sneak me out, at least, so that no one sees me?"

Lori sighed dramatically. "Get in the wheelchair old man." she pulled him into it. "I'm parked out back so we can go out the back way." Lena smiled and pushed the chair to make it easier for her mother to pull him into it.

"Ouch." Bruce complained as he was forced into the chair. "You two are just mean sometimes." He added, pouting up at his wife and daughter.

"Get use to it." Lori chuckled and kissed the top of his head. "We love you to much to let you hurt yourself." When they reached the back door. "Alright I'll get the car." Lena hurried off. "You can stand a while if you want but don't over do it." Lori sounded like a mother.

Bruce rolled his eyes. "I'll just stay seated, thanks. I don't want to stand too long and have you pushing be back into the chair." He said.

"Good Bruce." Lori grinned as Lena pulled up and both girls helped him into the front seat. "There." Lori leaned in and kissed his cheek. "All set." she slid into the back. Lena was trying to hide her smile.

Bruce resisted their help getting him into the car. Even injured and two against one, it was impossible for them to move him. "I will get in by myself." He said, starting to get angry at their treatment of him. He refused to move from the wheelchair until both of them stepped away from him.

"Oh alright you...I just want to take care of you." Lori slid in the back in a huff. "I would have let you help me." she mumbled. Lena stayed though to make sure he got in the car alright a small smile on her face. "We love you dad and we don't want you to get hurt more."

Scowling, Bruce went and got into the passenger's seat himself. "Wanting to make sure is one thing, but treating me like a crippled old man is not okay. I can make it two feet to the car." He said, his fragile male pride hurt.

"But you could have died and and." Lori was crying again. "Cursed pregnant hormone's." she rubbed her cheeks and sniffed.
