Gemini looked around, glanced at Lori for help, then looked back at him. "Yeah, everything's fine. It's just...well, I asked Lori to come with me because I'm a little nervous...see there's something I have to tell you, but I don't know how you'll react..." She took a deep breath, realizing that she was babbling. "The thing is...okay, please don't freak out, but...I'mpregnantandit'syours." She rushed the sentence out so fast it was almost impossible to understand. She glared at Lori, silently telling her not to speak yet.

Joker stared at her for a moment then passed out. "Holly crap did the Joker just pass out?" Lori started laughing. "Oh this is priceless. Can I take a picture or draw on his face...or both?"

Gemini glared at Lori even harder, and knelt down to try and wake him up. "...Okay take a picture. But quickly because I'm still going to try and wake him." She said, shaking him slightly.

Lori took a picture then splashed him with water. Sputtering he came to then kissed her deeply "Whoa keep it pg-13." Lori averted her eyes. "This is the greatest, scariest, strangest, best and worst thing ever." Joker grinned once he broke away. "A little me to carry on my plans for the city." he placed a hand over her stomach.

Gemini blushed deeply. "Let's not jump to conclusions. It could be a girl, you know." She said, placing her hand over his. "Let me just say one thing right now. Neither of us are going to force this child to choose sides. If he or she decides to follow you, then so be it. But if he or she decided to be a good guy, or even just a regular citizen, then we'll support their decision. Our baby is a human being, not a tool for you to use, okay?" She said firmly.

Joker looked a little disappointed. "Fine." he pouted a little then grinned at Lori. "You get to be a aunty." Lori stared at him. "Your going to punch me OFH!" he groaned as he rubbed the bruise that was sure to appear on his face after Lori had punched. "There." she nodded.

Gemini winced a little. "That's gonna leave a mark...um, Lori...thanks for coming with me. If you want, you can go back and tell Bruce all about it now." She said.

"Oh he's going to give birth to kittens." Lori sighed and walked off grumbling a little. "Bruce I'm back and you may want to...oh your already sitting good. Gemini's pregnant and well there's no doubt who the baby daddy is I'll give you two guess and a hint clown."

Gemini snorted at the thought. "That seems appropriate..." She muttered as Lori left. Then she turned to the Joker. "Are you okay? Do you need an ice pack?" She asked.

As soon as Lori entered, Bruce sat up, waiting to hear what was going on. As soon as he heard, instead of falling down, he jumped up. "WHAT?! Are you serious? Of course you are. I can't believe this! Leave it to your insane friend to get pregnant with the Joker's kid!! She's going to keep it, isn't she? Is that woman stupid?!"

"I'm fine and don't forget I have to worry about you." Joker kissed her gentle. "A baby."

Lori shrugged. "She always wanted a kid if the Joker makes her happy...you know some people thought I was insane for bearing a hero's kid." She took his hand. "We can handle this how bad can it be. Plus she's not insane she's in love."

Gemini smiled softly. "A baby." She echoed. "I always wanted to be a mother...I wanted a chance to raise a child the way I wasn't. I'll be a much better parent than mine ever were..." Turning slightly, she hugged him. "We'll have to hide it for as long as possible. You know how many other villains will want to eliminate a child of yours." She added sadly.

Bruce sighed, sitting back down. "I suppose...at least with her there's a chance the child won't be a complete psycho. At least it's not Harley." He shuddered at the thought. Harley was still out there, somewhere, too. "Are we sure love and insanity aren't the same thing?" He joked, smirking up at her.

Lodi blinked at the question and thought about it tilting her head. "They might be the same thing depending on the person." She kissed the top of his head then sat next to him. "We could just go on vacation."

Joker grinned well she confessed her secret the sobered. "True but I wouldn't let anything happen. They would die a horrible death." He growled.

Bruce smiled, kissing her cheek. "I suppose we could, but honestly I'm a little curious to see what happens. Anyway, even if I never wear the suit again, I don't think I could ever leave Gotham for too long." He confessed.

Gemini nodded and hugged him. "I know. Thank you." She said, deciding she didn't want to move.

Lori sighed and smiled. "Alright no packing the bags grabbing Lena and Damien and never returning then." She leaned against him.

"Welcome." Joker stood with her in his arms and placed her on the bed tucking her in before joining her. "Much more comfy to cuddle like this."

Bruce chuckled. "Thanks, I'm glad that's cleared up." He said. "Can we take a nap now?"

Gemini smiled and nodded sleepily. "Yeah...that's true." She agreed.

"You can sleep if you want." Joker hugged her gentle.

Lori chuckled and flopped back pulling him back with her nuzzling against his chest. "A nap sounds good old man."

"Th-thank you..." Gemini replied with a yawn, falling asleep almost instantly.

Bruce pouted. "I am not old. I just have jet lag. And achy joints. And I get tired more easily than I used to...okay, I'm old."

Lori laughed and kissed his forehead. "Poor baby." she patted his arm. "I still love you."

Joker watched her sleep thinking about there life together.

"That's good. I think I'd die if you didn't." Bruce said, reaching over and hugging her.

"Well that's grim." Lori blinked. "I survived just fine when you pretended not to love me...though know I don't think I would know what to do with out you."

Bruce yawned. "Sorry. I have a tendency to be over dramatic. But...you knew that already." He smiled, starting to fall asleep. "Still, the feeling is...is real..."

"Go to sleep you." Lori patted his chest watching fall asleep a smile on her face.

About eight months later, Bruce was wondering why he had ever wanted to be a part of his wife's pregnancy. At the same time, he was anxious for his child to be born. Of course, half the time he was so tired he didn't know what to feel.

Gemini, meanwhile, had been having a rough pregnancy. Her talking-to-animals ability had developed further tot he point where all kinds of animals were always showing up and talking to her. She had also obtained a terrible craving for very rare meat...and all things sugary. And to top it all off, she was almost always close to tears...especially as she got heavier closer to the end of the pregnancy. Currently, she was bedridden, and not at all happy about it. "But I want to get up! Why can't I get up?" She whined, making Lucifer (who had been super protective of her) growl warningly at her.
