"Because if you do the baby will eat your insides." Joker said lying next to her. "Plus its more fun to cuddle if your lying next to me."

Lori meanwhile was lying in bed reading she had a perfect time running Bruce around her first pregnancy seemed much worse know that she had someone to help. Well she had Ivy it had only been for the weeks leading up to the birth. She glanced over at smiled at Lena who was asleep in the chair next to the bed. "Poor thing."

Gemini scowled. She had gotten used to comments like that, but she still didn't like them. "Why do you have to say things like that? It's disgusting." She complained further.

Bruce came in the check on Lori, as he did every half hour now. "How are you feeling?" He asked, spotting Lena in the chair and pulling a blanket over her. "Is there anything you need?"

"Because I like to put a little twist on things." Joker chuckled. "I just think of it and it pops out of my mouth...sorry." he pouted a little.

Lori smiled at him. "No I'm fine just a litt..LE!" she grabbed his arm. "My water just broke."

Gemini huffed slightly, unable to stay angry. "You're forgiven." She said, reaching over to pet Lucifer. "I wonder how Lori's doing...I'm going to see her when she delivers, even if I have to crawl there." She added suddenly, with the expression on her face that had come to mean she wasn't going to take no for an answer.

Bruce jumped into action instantly, picking Lori up bridal style and heading out of the room. He woke Lena up and instructed her to call the hospital to tell them they were on the way, and to follow them once that was done. Then he rushed Lori to a car that he had waiting, got her strapped in, and floored it to the hospital. He sent a text to Ivy and Gemini, knowing that they both wanted to be notified when this happened.

Lori blinked at the swiftest of his actions. "Like a roadrunner ninja." she chuckled and settle in blinking when they arrived at the hospital. "Slow down a little this time or I'll get whiplash."

Joker blinked at the phone. "Speaking of." he chuckled. "Though I still don't like the idea of you getting up unless your water breaks."

Bruce nodded. "Sorry." He said, coming around to the passenger's side to get Lori out. He brought her into the hospital, where the doctors took her straight to the delivery room, with Bruce following closely.

Gemini was already starting to get up, though it was a bit difficult. "I've still got more than a month to go before that happens. I'll be fine. For the love of God help me out, will you?" She said, getting frustrated.

Joker pouted a little. "I think Lori can live without you there...besides I don't think Bruce would be to happy to see me." he grimaced.

Lori took his hand as they waited for it to begin when it did she nearly took his hand off.

"You don't have to come in. I just want to be there to see the baby." Gemini said. Lucifer whined at her, and she glared at him. "Who's side are you on? No, don't answer that..." She waved a hand, making Lucifer huff slightly.

Bruce winced, but didn't say a word, knowing that Lori was in far more pain than he was. He only stayed and helped her through it.

"She'll show up with her, him...the baby." Joker stood slowly. "Please lie down." He couldn't keep the begging tone out of his voice.

"I want to see the baby as soon as it's born! It'll be two weeks before they can take it home, and by then I really won't be able to walk. There's no reason at all why I can't move around!" Gemini argued, crossing her arms stubbornly. Lucifer whined again, giving her a pleading look. Suddenly, she seemed to deflate, her arms dropped to her sides. "This isn't fair. I want to go..." She said in a defeated tone. Looking tired, she sat back down. "And you two, teaming up on me...no fair at all." She sniffled, breaking into tears yet again. "I hate this. I can't stand being locked up like this...being all fat and ugly...and I can't ever go anywhere...and I'm just a gross mess and I hate it!

"Your beautiful and filled with a glow that makes it hard to look long because it makes you blindingly gorgeous and we worry I've never had to deal with this before." Joker ran a hand over her stomach. "If I let you go and something happened I'd never forgive myself.

"You're the biggest liar I've ever met..." Gemini sniffed. "But thanks for trying. I understand that you're worried, and I appreciate that you're trying to keep the baby and I safe...I'm just not used to being so confined. I don't like it at all. And by the way, I don't think anything would happen if you came with me." She said.

"yeah but I can't because Bruce would murder me." Joker chuckled "But...if I could carry you I would let you go." he grimaced. "I'm so weak."

Hours later Lori gave birth to a baby girl who had Bruce's bright blue eyes. She cried as soon as she was out making quite a fuss.

Gemini rolled her eyes. "Not even nine months ago you fought Bruce hand to hand and almost won. You're not weak...I'm just fat." She said.

As the doctors took the baby to clean her up, Bruce kissed Lori's forehead. "You did wonderful, my love." He told her.

Lori smiled "Thanks it was easier this time." she chuckled. "Much easier." she squeezed his hand then took the baby. "Hi there." the baby settled down at once and cooed at them.

"No your fine...if anything the baby is fat." Joker chuckled and placed a hand on her stomach.

Bruce smiled, looking happier than he ever had before. He never thought he could match the happiness of his wedding day, but he had. "She's beautiful. She looks just like you." He said, leaning over to get a better look. "Can I...can I hold her?" He asked hesitantly. He'd never held a baby before.

Tears welled up in her eyes again. "Don't say that! Our baby is perfect." Gemini said protectively, placing her hand over his.

"Of course pudgy babies are the cutest." Joker smiled a little. "I'll be happy know matter how are child comes out." he kissed her stomach. "Will you ever move so I can feel you?" he asked with a chuckle

"Of course." Lori grinned "Hold out your arms like this." she showed him how. "Mind her head." she added as she passed him there child. "Well she may look like me she has your eyes that's for sure. What shall we name her?"

Gemini smiled brightly as the baby kicked, seeming to respond to it's father's voice. "I guess the baby knows who you are." She said. Lucifer tilted his head and sniffed at Gemini's belly curiously.

Bruce took the baby, holding her the way Lori showed him. Looking down at her, Bruce felt an instant and infinitely deep love for his child. "I'm not...sure. Actually..." He seemed hesitant. "How about Martha...?" He asked.

"I guess so...I didn't think unborn babies could do much ours must be very smart." Joker grinned



Lori blinked but smiled. "I think that's a fabulous name." The newly named Martha stared at her father then smiled and cooed watching him. "You should feed her." the nurse smiled and looked to Lori who blushed a little.

Gemini chuckled. "Actually, babies in the womb can learn their parents voices, respond to touch and even develop a taste for music. Ours does seem to respond more actively, though. It even knows Lucifer's whine, and the hyenas' barks." She said proudly.

Bruce smiled even wider, if that was possible. He brushed Martha's cheek, and she grabbed his finger. He was a little sad to have to hand her over, but the fact that he got to watch Lori feeding her made up for it.

After Lori fed Martha she let Bruce take her back. "You look so cute holding a baby." She grinned which broke into a yawn.

Joker blinked then chuckled. "Well now I know that and I think he or she will be the smartest person ever."

Bruce chuckled. "I'm okay with that." He said, holding Martha gently. "You should sleep now, love. You deserve the rest." He added.

Gemini smiled. "I agree. Maybe someday he or she will win all kinds of prizes." She said. "They could be a doctor or a scientist or-AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" She screamed all of a sudden, clutching Joker's hand in a death grip. "Ho-hospital...NOW!"

"What already?" Joker asked though he had already sprung into action handing the bag to Lucifer while the hyenas helped him find his keys. Once he had he somehow lifted her and carried her to his van then drove to the hospital.

Lori nodded already half asleep as she drifted off the baby stared at him then grabbing hold of his finger yawned.

Lucifer dutifully took the bag and ran with it, knowing his own job for this day. Gemini, meanwhile, was alternating between yelps of pain and trying to breathe.

Bruce watched Lori drift off, making sure she was well covered before turning his attention to Martha. Seeing the baby's tiny hand wrapped around his finger made him smile, his heart swelling with affection.

Martha started to fuss looking like she wanted to sleep but wanted something else as well. "Sing to her." the nurse suggested.

Joker drove to the hospital and took the bag from Lucifer. "Stay here." he ordered and took Gemini inside taking her to the room holding her hand as the doctor got to work.
