"Well at least they keep us busy." Joker laughed ruffling Cal's hair.

"Just a nightmare." Lena sniffed. Meanwhile Lori answered the door bell blinking at the light. "Oh hello Jake Lena's upstairs if you want to wait." Jake a twenty year old collage student with brown hair and green eyes nodded. "Thanks Mrs. Wayne." he came in and sat down nervous about meeting Bruce.

Gemini chuckled. "That's true. Never a dull moment, with these two." She said, taking April out of her seat. April thrashed impatiently, wanting to get down to the floor so she could go play.

Bruce nodded. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, feeling like that was the right thing to do. Of course she didn't have to, and he wouldn't force her, but he thought he should ask just in case.

"It was just about Damien." Lena shrugged then smiled at him. "Thanks...Do I hear mom talking to OH NO!" she quickly dressed and rushed downstairs. "Don't take out the baby pictures again!" she yelled bursting into the kitchen startling all four people.

Joker picked up Cal gave him a kiss and placed him down. "Want to bet he falls for Martha." he smirked at the idea.

Bruce raised an eyebrow and went down the stairs after Lena, at a slower pace. "What's going on down here?" He asked, noticing a new person in the room.

Gemini laughed outright. "Have you seen those two play together? I'm willing to bet he's already fallen for her!" She said.

"Oh dad this is my boyfriend Jake." Lena pushed Jake forward. "It's nice to meet you sir." he held out a hand that shook a little.

"True facts." Joker chuckled. "Bruce is going to love that."

Bruce tilted his head slightly. "Your boyfriend, huh? Well, nice to meet you, Jake." He said, shaking the boy's hand. "So Jake, do you have a job?" He asked, going into father mode.

"I'll bet." Gemini said, starting to clean up from breakfast.

"Well I do have a part time job but I'm going to college to be a detective." Jake glanced at Lena. "To help out Lena with her crime fighting...and because it's really fun." he smiled. “I'm going to take care of her...as long as her stubborn side doesn't beat me up for it.” Lena pouted.

Joker swept her into a kiss. “Love you."

Bruce nodded, approving so far. "That's very admirable. Well, Jake, I'm glad to have met you. I hope we get to see you more often- and good luck with Helena's stubborn side. I've dealt with it myself, in her mother." He said.

"Love you more." Gemini said, smiling.

"True you have given up more to be with me." Joker squeezed her.

Both girls shrugged and smirked. "Actually there was something I wanted to ask...Lena can I talk to your parents alone please?" Jake squeezed her hand. "Sure." Lena shrugged. "Dad do me two things one don't scare him to much two call me Lena everyone else does." As soon as she left Jake swallowed. "May I marry your daughter?"

"It was all worth it." Gemini said seriously.

Bruce rolled his eyes slightly at Lena's request. "I'll do my best." He said, in answer to both of her favors. Once they were alone, he focused on Jake. As soon as Jake spoke, his eyebrows shot upwards. "You're asking for our daughter's hand in marriage?" He clarified. This was certainly a pleasant surprise, considering most young men didn't bother to ask anymore.

"Well yes." Jake shrugged blushing furiously. "My mom would kill me if I didn't ask....probably literally."

Joker blinked then grinned. "At least you love me the way I am."

Bruce raised an eyebrow. "And...who is your mother, exactly? Anyone we would know?" He asked.

"Why wouldn't I? You're perfect." Gemini said.

"No I don't think so...she's more middle class...not a villain or a hero." Jake chuckled. "At least I hope she's not a bad guy."

Joker blinked then blushed looking away towards the ceiling "Thanks."

Bruce nodded. "Alright, then. Well, Jake, I've only just met you, but you seem like a good kid. Helena seems to like you quite a lot, which is very high praise in my opinion. I can't speak for my wife, but as for me, I would be happy to let you marry my daughter." He said.

Gemini smirked. "Aw, you're so cute when you get embarrassed!"

"Neh." Joker grumbled focusing his attention on the twins.

"You know I'm going to say yes." Lori smiled. "GREAT!" Jake grinned then blushed. "Sorry...Lena you can come back in." Helena opened the door "About time." she smiled. "Lena...can I ask you something?" Jake smiled. "Of course." Lena blushed as Jake knelt down in front of her. "Will you marry ACK!" he didn't even get to finish as soon as she saw the ring she was crushing him. "Oh yes Jake." she grinned. "Can't marry if dead." Jake gasped. "Whoops!" Lena let go. "Air." Jake took a deep breath.

Gemini chuckled and finished cleaning up from breakfast.

Bruce laughed, surprising even himself. "You two make a good couple. Congratulations, Lena." He said.

"Thanks." Lena smiled letting Jake place the ring on her finger then took her hand smiling brightly. "You know what this means don't you Bruce? We are old." Lori sighed. "Sir the priest is here for the funeral." Alfred swallowed the last word.

All at once, Bruce's smile evaporated. His eyes went dull, as if someone had turned a light off. "Right...of course. We'll be right there." He said flatly.

Lori squeezed her arm then hide a grin as Martha waddled in wearing a black dress looking very annoyed. "No." she tugged at the dress. "It's just for a little while think of how pretty you are." Lori lifted her up. "pine." Martha sighed then held her arms out to Bruce. "Daddy?"

Bruce smiled sadly and picked Martha up. "Hey, princess." He said. "You look so pretty today. We have to do something important today, and Daddy's gonna need your help. Can you be a good girl and help out?"

Martha nodded and but on a serious face. "No be tad daddy I be ood." She placed her head on his shoulder.

"That's my girl." Bruce said, turning to head out the door. As much as he didn't want to, he had to face this eventually.

Martha eyed the hole curiously. "What dat?" She pointed to the priest as Lori took Bruce's free hand. Lena found to Jake her lower lip quivering.

"Do you remember the story I told you? This man is going to help us send prince Damian to his sky castle." Bruce said, explaining as best he could.

"Oh OK." Martha waved to the man. "Hi." Lori took a deep breath trying to hold back tears as Martha looked to the coffin. "Can I give the prince a power." "Of course baby girl." Lori swallowed her shaky voice and picked a flower for Martha who placed it on the grave. "Thank you prince." At this point both girls were crying.
