Gemini looked at the finger carefully. "It looks owwy, too. Let's get a little ice on it, that should help." She said, bringing Martha into the kitchen while she got a child-sized ice pack. "And a kiss to help." She kissed the finger gently before placing the ice on it. "There we go. You're a good patient, so you get a lollypop." She said.

Bruce woke up some time later with a sneeze. "Uh...huh? Lori? How long was I asleep? What's that book?" He asked. Dust from the book had caused him to sneeze, he realized. It didn't feel like he'd slept long- he was still tired.

Martha perked up at the mention of a lollipop. "Please lollipop." She looked around for one. "What is it with kids and sweets?" Joker asked fishing a blue lollipop out for Martha making sure to take the paper off. "Tank you." Martha placed it in her mouth.

"Nothing important dear go back to sleep." Lori placed the book on her night stand and turned to face him. "I'll sing you a song." She started singing something sweet and soft.

Gemini chuckled. "I don't know, but it works when we need it to." She said, taking the wrapper quickly to check it. Sugar-free. Good. She mentally sighed in relief.

Bruce wanted to find out what the book was, but Lori's singing was already lulling him back to sleep. he'd find out later, he decided, before falling asleep completely.

Joker raised his eyebrow. "Why are we checking the wrapper?"

Lori watched Bruce for a moment before she went back to reading.

Gemini made a shushing motion and pulled him over to where Martha couldn't hear them. "I always check to make sure everything is sugar-free. You really don't want to see one of Lori's kids on sugar. But you also don't want to let them know that there's no sugar." She whispered.

"Why?" Joker glanced at Martha. "Can Lori have sugar?" he sounded a little concerned.

Gemini went pale and shuddered. "No. Absolutely not, never. Lori must NEVER be allowed sugar." She said in a haunted voice.

"Alright then.' Joker was interested. "know I'm curious." he smirked.

Several hours later Lori had her answer and smiled a little. She glanced at Bruce not sure if she wanted to leave him there alone but if the book was right she would have to hurry. She placed a cd playing and slipped out of bed slowly watching his face to make sure he didn't wake as she inched towards the door.

Gemini shook her head. "Please, don't do what I think you're planning. At least...not while I'm around to get caught in the crossfire."

Bruce stirred slightly, but he was too deeply asleep to wake up. He settled back down quickly and muttered Damian's name.

"Oh no I you have to be in the crossfire." Joker chuckled evilly blinking as April joined in. "Evil makes it giggle."

Lori slid out and set off on her journey to a small island off the coast of a island in the middle of the sea. Once there she retrieved a bottle and a bag of powder. Before four hours was up she was back and ready to dig Damien up. She would have till dark so no one would see her.

Alright, but I can't guarantee that I'll come back alive." Cal, not knowing what was going on, giggled too. "I have a feeling he's gonna be the henchman of the two." Gemini said.

By that time, Bruce had woken up and gone looking for Lori. Not finding her anywhere in the mansion, he was starting to panic.

Martha watched the twins laugh before going back to the blocks. "A minion." Joker sighed I wish for better...it's no fun being bossed around by girls unless your married to them."

Lori was glad when the sun went down. She set to work pouring the powder into the bottle she cut her hand adding her blood then added a tiny bit of water shaking it. She then dug up Damien feeling weird. She paused for a moment at the sight of the body but taking a deep breath she pulled him out carefully. She gripped the bottle tightly "from my life to yours." She took a small sip before giving the rest to Damien's body. She waited as her head swam with colors a bright light made her blink. "Unh!" Damien groaned. "The hell? Lori?" "It worked!" Lori laughed. "ACE!" She knew the dog would hear her. Ace was following Bruce around when suddenly he stopped grabbed Bruce's sleeve and began to pull him towards the graveyard.

Gemini chuckled. "don't worry, I'm sure he'll assert himself eventually. Cal is a strong boy." She said, watching as the twins started to play house.

Bruce was surprised by Ace's sudden behavior. "Ace? Okay, I'm coming." He said, realizing that the dog must know where Lori was. He became instantly concerned when he was led outside and saw Lori sitting over Damian's grave. "Lori? Lori, what's going on? Are you okay?"

"I hope so." Joker sighed. 'I would hate for him to be under the rule of two girls.'' he chuckled.

"Dad?" Damien blinked as he sat up and saw his father. 'I did it Bruce." Lori said before she passed out. "Lori!" Damien yelped as she fell on top of him.

"We'll have to just wait and see." Gemini said.

"Damian?" Bruce thought he was hallucinating. Then Lori passed out, and he forgot that thought as he rushed to lift her up. "Lori! Lori, wake up...what the hell is going on here?" He asked, looking over at Damian. "Help me get her inside...if you can."

Damien nodded and helped Bruce carry Lori inside. She was still alive but just barely ''I don't understand...didn't I die?" Damien looked at Bruce. "not that I'm not glad to be alive but still.'

Bruce nodded. He was too focused on getting Lori into the cave, where he could fix her up, to answer right away. Once they had her on the table, he started working. "You did die. Almost two days ago now. My guess is that Lori went behind my back to revive you." He said.

"You aren't mad at her are you?" Damien frowned. "You shouldn't be...knowing her she did it to make you feel better."

Bruce shook his head. "No, I'm not mad...well maybe a little. I'm angry that she'd put her own life in danger like this. I'm upset that she tried a revival knowing the kind of past we've had in that department. I'm mad that she didn't even bother to talk to me about it...but I appreciate why she did it." He said, still working as he talked. He checked Lori's vital signs, mentally begging her to stay alive. "But if you die on me, I'll never forgive you." He said to her.

"I'm hard to kill." Lori smirked softly as her eyes opened groaning. "I hurt." She took Bruce's hand. "Your not sad anymore right?"

Bruce shook his head again, holding back tears. "That's your first question? Lorinda...of course I'm sad. How could you do that? If I had lost you..." He couldn't finish the sentence. "Don't you ever, ever do something like that again. As upset as I was about Damian, I wouldn't want you to exchange your life for his. I'm sure Damian would never ask for that, either." He glanced at Damian, still a little unsure that he wasn't hallucinating. "But...thank you."

Lori frowned a little then looked away. "I'm sorry love I didn't mean to upset you...you were so sad I couldn't stand to see you that way." She lifted her hand to his cheek. "You have your family know thanks to Ra's...strange that he should be of help." She chuckled breaking off to yawn.

Bruce just sighed, shaking his head. "I guess I can let it go...as long as you're both okay. You are, right?" He looked from Lori to Damian and back again. "Nothing bad is going to happen like...like last time?"

'Not that I'm aware of." Lori shrugged and slowly sat up. 'The book said that if I use good blood nothing would happen...I'm not sure if it meant really fresh or a good guy so I settled for both...all bases covered." she hugged his neck. "I'm tired but fine." "I second that.' Damien chuckled.

Bruce gently picked Lori up, bridal style. "Alright...well, we can talk more in the morning. For now, we should all get to bed." He said. "I'm going to have to make up a sequel to that story I told Martha."
