"They should be home by now...moms not one to stay in the hospital." Martha stood then paused. "Should we take the bus or wake your parents?"

"I'd rather not wake my parents..." Cal said, wincing.

"But we'll need both sets of parents around just in case, so we might as well." April countered.

"You don't have to, I'm up." Gemini said, walking into the room. "You three forgot to whisper."

"Sorry Aunt Gemini." Martha smiled sheepishly at the woman. "I suppose you heard the plan?"

"I heard enough. Let's get going." Gemini said, grabbing her keys. She was already dressed.

Cal looked at April and Martha and shrugged. "Might as well."

"Right, I'm ready." April said, jumping up.

Joker came out of the room yawning. "What I miss?" He blinked. "Are we going somewhere?"

"You're just in time. We're headed to the mansion. Apparently, our son is in a good amount of trouble." Gemini said.

"We'll explain when we get there." Cal said, not wanting to have to go over everything again twice.

"OK." Joker dressed quickly and pulled his van around he noticed that Martha kept her mouth shut.

Lori woke in the hospital and let out a soft groan.

Bruce, who had stayed awake next to her all night, smiled. "Good morning, love. Are you feeling any better?" He asked.

"Sore but better. Can't I go home and just let you take care of me?" Lori pouted once the nurse had finished checking her over. "Did you sleep?"

Bruce smiled, though he looked guilty. "No...I couldn't sleep. I had to watch over you." He said. "The good news is that you can go home, you just need to sign the paperwork."

"You should have slept you no good to me half asleep." Lori pouted. The doctor got the paper work and she began to sign "I'm mean I'm important to you but your important to me."

Bruce sighed. "I know. I'm sorry. But I really couldn't sleep. I'll make it up to you. When we get home, we can both take a nap." He offered hopefully.

"Alright know wheel me away from this death trap." Lori was glad to get into the car and be on her way home.

Bruce obliged happily, bringing Lori home just in time to see a familiar and unwelcome van pulling up the driveway. "Oh, no...I don't have the energy to deal with him..."

"Maybe its important you know he wouldn't come unless he had to." Lori smiled at Martha who hurried to help her inside letting her dad confront Joker and Gemini.

Seeing that Gemini had brought the whole family, Bruce started to worry. The only time they all showed up was for parties or when something was wrong. "What's going on?" He asked.

"A lot, apparently." Gemini answered. "But I'm not the one to explain it. Can we go inside?" She asked, getting a nod from Bruce. They all followed him into the mansion.

Lori was already on the couch resting a moment. "What's all the trouble?" She frowned at the group.

After everyone sat down, Cal could sense at least half the room staring at him. He sighed. "Okay, so here's the situation..." He said, and explained what was going on and their plan to fix it.

"The reason we need everyone here is in case anything goes wrong. And, someone needs to watch over my body while I'm not in it." April said when Cal finished.

"I would say 'unbelievable,' but I completely believe it. This is exactly the kind of thing Ra's would do. I'll help in any way I can." Bruce said.

Lori nodded then sat back watching April. "You can do it April." Martha encouraged.

April nodded and moved to sit directly across from Cal. Locking her gaze onto his, she took a deep breath and concentrated. There was a tense moment of silence that seemed somehow filled with energy, and then April's body fell backwards.

Cal gasped, trying not to panic at the feeling of someone else inside his mind. Taking deep breaths, he calmed himself and closed his eyes, somehow knowing that it would help April. He focused on the most recent incidents, bringing them to the front of his mind for her to see.

Gemini watched, tense, as both her children fell silent, both in a trace-like state. She bit her lip, hating that she couldn't help, couldn't see what was going on.

Bruce, in the meantime, was monitoring the twins very carefully. Every breath, movement or facial expression got mentally stored away for later. If he had the chance, he wanted to monitor their brain waves while in this state- but not now, while the outcome was so important.

Joker took Gemini's had looking as nervous as her hoping that his children would be alright.

Lori rested against Bruce letting Martha hold her hand watching her daughter chew her lip as she watched her friends.

After what seemed like hours, but was really only about ten minutes, Cal suddenly gasped and cried out, his eyes flying open.

April's body jerked backwards, as if pushed by an invisible physical force, and she opened her eyes as well. "Ow...oh my God..." She gasped.

Cal curled into a fetal position, screaming in pain.

"What's wrong with him? Are you okay?" Gemini asked April.

"He'll be fine. I'm okay. Give it a minute..."

"Give what a minutes?" Martha gripped April's hand examining her face for any signs that she was actually hurt.

"Cal. He'll be okay soon. I had to...I don't know how to describe it...rip? Yeah...I had to kind of rip something out of him. It had been there a long time, like...Ra's probably planted it when we were kids. It wasn't anything physical. Just this...influence. It looked like a shadow. Anyway, I had to rip it away from the rest of his mind, and it was rooted pretty deep, so it hurt him. But I got rid of it. He's free." April rambled.

By the time April was finished talking, Cal had also calmed down. His breathing was still ragged, but he was able to sit up. He was shaking visibly. "...Why does everything look...brighter?" He asked, blinking. It was like he hadn't been seeing clearly in years, and suddenly his vision was perfect again.

"What happened to the shadow?" Martha asked then started as Cal opened his eyes. "Your alright!" She hugged him tightly careful not to hurt him.

"Good job April." Lori smiled.

Joker let out the breath he had been holding and when Martha pulled away he pulled both his children into a hug.
