"I don't believe that." Lori pouted. "I have a very good imagination. Either that or I finally lost my mind."

"Fine, don't believe it. You'll just have to find out when you wake up and I'm sitting here. Actually, I should probably lay down. Broken ribs apparently don't like being bent."

"Oh right." Lori helped him into the bed and stared down at him before she ran a hand threw his hair. "I love you."

Now properly laying down, Bruce closed his eyes as though he were exhausted- which he was. "I love you, too. Don't leave me, okay?"

"I wouldn't dream of it." Lori settled next to him and laced there hands together.

Martha went to go find Cal just to talk and settle things between them.

"Good...I'm glad." Bruce said, just as he fell asleep.

Cal was up on the roof of his house as usual, having only just escaped a huge talk with April and a lecture from his mother.

"Cal?" Martha sat next down next to him. "Sorry about your wrist...I didn't mean to I was just surprised at how good your plan was...don't tell anyone I said that."

Cal didn't seem surprised to see Martha- he had sensed her before she spoke. He was surprised, however, at what she had to say. "You don't need to apologize. Anyone would have reacted the same way." He said. "Did you just say good? You must have hit your head. That plan was..." He shook his head. "Well it wasn't good, anyway."

"It wasn't bad either...you had no way of predicting who would challenge your mutant army." Martha leaned against him. "This has been a long week."

"...Yeah, it has." Cal agreed. He didn't know what to say about his plan or what had happened. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you." He said finally.

"I forgive you." Martha squeezed Cal's hand. "At least you where trying."

"Trying doesn't seem to work, Mari." Cal said sadly, squeezing her hand back. "I want to be good like you and April. But I just can't get it right. Maybe I'm just...inherently bad or something. Maybe I was destined to be a bad guy. Sometimes I feel like I don't have a choice, like no matter what I do I'll always be...do you think I'm evil?" He asked.

"No your not evil and if you could inherit it both Damien and I would be evil...Damien more so then me. Being good is something you have to work towards it's not something that just happens. Ask Damien that he is still trying to prove to Bruce that he's not like his grandfather."

Cal looked up, surprised. "Really? But Damian seems so...confident. Like it's easy for him." He sighed. "Maybe I should talk to him. He can teach me what I'm not supposed to do. Hey..." He turned to look at her. "We're still friends, right? Even after everything that happened, and after that prophecy or whatever happened...will we still be okay? You and me and April?"

"I hope so." Martha turned to look at him then with a smile she kissed him gentle. "Goodnight Cal." she stood and got ready to leave.

Cal blinked stupidly, his expression blank. His cheeks flamed. "G-good...night...?" He answered.

Martha laughed and vanished into the night leaving him to figure out what had happened after all she was her mothers child as well.

Cal stayed in his place on the rooftop, waiting for his face to cool down. He knew he wouldn't get any sleep that night.

Lori wake the next morning and blinked smiling happily when she saw that Bruce was still there.

Martha waked the next morning under April's bed having taken refuge there. She rolled out and went to leave stretching a little.

When Martha stood up, she would see that April was sitting on her bed, apparently waiting for her. "Why'd you hide under my bed?" She asked.

Bruce woke up suddenly from a dream he couldn't remember, the sudden motion hurting his ribs. "Oww...." He moaned pitifully.

"Because I like hiding under beds." Martha chuckled. "And I couldn't go to the penthouse I wanted to give my parents some time to talk."

"Ah." April nodded sagely. "I didn't hear you come in, so I must have been asleep. Which means you got in really late. Which means your talk with Cal went either really good or really bad." She grinned. "Since you're here I'm going to guess it went well."

"It went very well actually." Martha smirked. She smelled breakfast and pulled April along "FOOD!"

April giggled as she was dragged along, amused as always by her friend.

Cal was in the kitchen setting the table when they came in. As soon as he saw Martha, he blushed, which made April smile.

"Something wrong Cal?" Joker asked Cal noticing his blush. "Are you feeling sick?" he felt Cal's forehead.

Martha smirked slightly and sat down at the table amused that Joker didn't so much as blink at her.
