"Makes sense," Robin agreed with a grin. "If you want, I can ask around, see who's looking for some talent." It wasn't a big deal for him since he knew everyone worth knowing.

Dani raised an eyebrow.

"What's in it for you?" she asked. "I mean, you've only known my name for about a day, so there must be some benefit in it for you if you're just offering like that."

"Entertainment," Robin said with a shrug. "Getting to watch Ish flail and try to figure out what to do with a daughter. The longer you two are here, the more of a show I get."

Dani snickered.

"Of course," she said. She waved a hand. "Then by all means, ask around and see what you can find."

"Will do." Robin grinned at her and watched as Maggie headed back over to their table. "All go well?"

"Well enough." Maggie set down a new glass of water, since she didn't trust the puck to have not contaminated hers somehow, and looked at Dani. "Having fun?"

"Tons of fun," Dani replied with a bit of a grin. "Making a few pseudo-long-term plans, in case we hang around for a while."

"Ah." Maggie shrugged after a moment. "Probably a good idea. Just in case."

"Hey, I figure if I find some work, it'll leave you free to do whatever else it is you're going to do," Dani reasoned. She grinned. "And you can pretend it'll keep me out of trouble."

"No, it'll just make you get in trouble places where I can't see you getting into trouble," Maggie retorted with a little grin.

"Ah, that just means I can get my groove on without the disapproving stares," Dani teased, grinning.

"None coming from me, anyway," Maggie said with a snort. "Of course, I'll have to look for a decent job too."

"You're going to try to split your time between a job and this?" Dani asked, raising an eyebrow skeptically. "I can pay for a motel room on my own. You don't need a job too, unless we want an apartment instead, and are we going to stay long enough for that?"

"Depends," Maggie said with a shrug. "We'll see what ends up happening. If we do decide to stay for a while."

"Then we'll handle it if it happens," Dani said firmly. "For now, you focus on this and I'll see about bringing in some money."

"Alright," Maggie agreed mildly. "We'll see what happens."

"Alright," Dani said. She grinned. "We'll see what sort of job I manage to get. I may need to go shopping for some new clothes."

Maggie snorted. "Have fun with that," she said with a bit of a grin. Although she knew she'd probably go along on said shopping trip.

"Oh I will," Dani said, grinning. "But first, we need to find a motel or something. Staying at the hotel we're at is going to add up quick."

"I'm sure there's a motel nearby," Maggie said. "We've seen a few while we were walking around, I don't doubt we'll find one with an opening."

"We'll find one and move over there tomorrow, then," Dani said, nodding a bit. "Tonight, we're relaxing in the hotel hot tub."

"Agreed." Maggie smiled a bit. Oh yes she loved that hot tub.

"I knew you would," Dani said, grinning. "Whenever you're ready, we can go."

"Might as well." Maggie got up and headed for the door. "Not like we won't be back."

"Exactly," Dani said, getting up as well. She stretched a bit, waved good-bye to Robin, and followed Maggie out the door. "Call me," she said to Robin with a teasing wink.

"I'd be a fool not to," Robin said with a grin that wasn't quite a leer. Maggie just rolled her eyes, muttering to herself.
